We were celebrating our anniversary and our wait staff was very attentive and fun!

We had a wonderful experience at the Buckhorn. Our server Jennifer was fantastic and all the food was amazing. It’s pricey, but this was a special occasion and it did not disappoint.

I have been coming to the Buckhorn in Winters for 30 years and it keeps getting better. The servers are knowledgeable and attentive. The food is tasty. Many beef restaurants put too much salt on the food, the Buckhorn seasoning is perfect. Great fish and lamb also. I love the old historical building. The desserts are irresistible and the coffee is great! Try the house dill dressing on your salad. It’s great. Servings are large.

Great calamari, local wines, warm bread and prime rib!!!!

We love this place. We live about an hour away, but still make the drive several times a year. And it never disappoints.

I had the filet mignon and my partner had the combo (tempura shrimp, ribs, bacon-wrapped steak). All were cooked to perfection. The appetizer (spinach and artichoke) was excellent but filled us up so we had to take home half our entrees. Made a wonderful dinner the next night!

Service was attentive without being intruding. Lovely people. The room was a little loud, but it is not the sort of place you go for a quiet romantic dinner, although would still be good for a date.

The Buckhorn has become one of my favorite local restaurants. The food is consistent and of the highest quality. I recommend the calamari or mussels for an appetizer, if you like lamb the rack of lamb is one of the best I have had. The steaks are always tasty and cook to perfection.

We had reservations ( recommended) and were seated promptly....service was top notch as was the food. This place has a lot of old history and character and we will return soon. Thank you for making an enjoyable evening for my wife and I.

Amazing rib eye steak, wife had the lobster and prime rib special which she loved. Best steak I have had outside of Texas, or maybe even including Texas. Service was great, will definitely go back. Winters....who knew???? Neat little town.

The food here was very good as usual. My wife and I have been coming here for our wedding anniversary for over 5 years now and it has never disappointed.

First time to Buckhorn Steakhouse surely will not be the last, food and service both incredible. I think we found our new go to spot and we live in Fairfield, well worth the drive.

Been going here for years and never disappointed. Service was very good and so was the meal.

Another visit to Buckhorn. It never disappoints. Food, ambiance, service is always consistent. Our group of five had three different entrees, all nicely prepared. The honey-basil salad dressing is a pleaser. One serving of their ice cream pie was enough for all of us to share.

It was good

It was my son’s birthday. He’d never been there, although we’ve been numerous times. It’s timeless and iconic. Many upscale restaurants are closed on Mondays when the Buckhorn was open — it was a great way to spend the occasion.

We had to ask 3 time to get water. Finally went to to front desk to get it. Service was OK after that.

Bone in NY Steaks were great, scampi was OK. The last 2 visits were much better.

Great dinner as usual! It was quite busy on Easter Sunday, but the still managed to handle crowd. They have the best steaks in California

My husband and I a year ago brought some friends to Buckhorn and the food was amazing. I ordered prime rib and realized why I liked prime rib. Ordered prime rib again last Sunday and it wasn't as good. My husband said I wonder if they have a different Chef, since he thought his meal wasn’t the same quality. He had lobster and prime rib. Last year I told everyone how fantastic the restaurant was, but this time I don't think I will be recommending.

Have never had a bad meal at the Buckhorn and I’ve been coming there for years! Always a great dinner!

The food was delicious. We loved everything from start to finish. It is so nice to be able to make reservations. We went for Easter Sunday dinner. Our waitress was so nice and did such a great job. Our steaks were tender and the asparagus was delicious. Everyone loved the clam chowder. We will def be back.

been visiting the buckhorn for more than 30 years - never, ever disappointed! would love to see the birthday gift certificates come back!

Love this place. You will need reservations on the weekend. It is very crowded. The booths are comfortable and the wait staff extraordinary, always available yet do not hover. The food is a bit pricey but worth every penny.

The dinner was good but not exceptional! I was actually a little surprised at the portions, how small they were. I asked for extra vegetables, instead of potato and got 5 asparagus spears.

This is our favorite restaurant for special occasions. I have never had a bad experience here and I have been a frequent customer for several years. I can’t wait until we go back!

Was very disappointing service tonight we love this place food is good but tonight the service was very slow and our waitress doesn’t seem to care at all she does not even bother to check on us how we doing after 30 minutes then 1 hour no waitress we ask someone why is our food taking that long and she Check and there is it after 1 hour and 10 minutes of waiting our food is serve and this waitress did not even apologize or say something she just set our food which we need to switch each other plate coz she give me my husband order and give my order to my husband. Glad once we taste the food it’s delicious. We never been so disappointed with the service

Friendly efficient staff. We got the THursday night special which was an excellent value. The lamb is my favorite dish here. I also like the soup. Nice hearty food, flavored well.

The Buckhorn is excellent and one of our favorite places.

Chris Webber is an excellent waiter, and has a great sense of humor. We always enjoy him as our server.

A birthday

Corned beef and cabbage St Paddy’s Day special was wonderful. Horseradish mustard was great.

For a birthday dinner. Service was slow through out the meal. 5 loved their food; One said steak was over cooked
