When going through Atlanta/Buckhead we often stop here for great ambiance, attention to detail and solid drinks
My coworker highly recommended it & I was very happy we gave it try. I will surely recommend it to others.
Classic, one of a kind, Atlanta gem. Feels like you walked into another time.
Amazing as always! Southern elegance at its very best!!! Delicious food !
Just a dinner date with my husband. The food was delicious and the drinks were perfect. We love coming here.
Fun restaurant - love the diner ambiance and the excellent comfort food! great for celebrating birthdays or just bringing a family group or friends. portions are generous and many appetizers can be shared.
Our server, Brian, was very efficient and entertaining. Wonderful!
Buckhead Diner has the best service in Atlanta! They call you by name the entire meal and are so attentive.
Great food and service but when it's busy it is LOUD!! Luckily we caught the end of the rush so after 20-30 min. it cleared out a little and was much better.
Took my two teenage boys and my 12 yr old daughter. our waiter barely spoke to us, barely acknowledged my children who are not babies, was not attentive, was MIA most of the time. I was extremely disappointed by the service, had the food not been delicious, it would have been a very bad evening. We were there for just over two hours and not because we were having a nice leisurely dinner but rather because we were left waiting a lot, basically ignored.
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Great value.
Very impressed with this diner. Definitely not a typical diner. Excellent food and service. Upscale but laid back. We will be back.
The entire experience was great. The staff was friendly and the food was terrific!
The food was amazing. We keep raving about how good it was. We will be back.
priority seating was wonderful. Valet parked, walked in, host was ready for us and we were seated in a nice location right then. Service was strong and food was delicious. More tables than normal due to Mother's Day so a bit loud, but it was ok.
Fantastic! Very enjoyable brunch for Mother's Day!
Pre Mother’s Day
Fun place. Oldtime diner look but excellent food and service.
The staff started clearing away our dishes while we were still eating! Granted, we were eating at 8:30 on a Tuesday night and I could see that there were not many tables occupied and staff had started their evening “end shift” responsibilities but I got the distinct impression they were trying to hurry us out the door
I usually don't do this- but we were three people and ordered two of the pastrami sandwiches-
one our friend ordered and my husband and I ordered to share- The sandwich was awful-
it was cold, and the meat tasted old- no one finished the sandwich, and we declined to take it home. When we told the waiter he said that he would talk to the chef and he offered us a free
dessert, which we said no thank you too.
This was a first for us- we usually enjoy our meals at the Buckhead Diner- it might be awhile before we return.
Favorite! Our waiter Paymon was absolutely fantastic and one of the best we’ve had.... anywhere!
This year was the 30th anniversary of the Buckhead Diner, with a menu of items they have had on the menu since the beginning. Just the fact that there are a long list of items they have sold that long is a tribute to the excellent food. Having lived in Atlanta 15 years, but away for 15, I enjoyed the stability and excellent, eclectic ambiance of the place. We shared the 3 portion 30th anniversary menu which included calamari, mushroom meatloaf and creme brûlée. The calamari and meatloaf were excellent. The creme brûlée had a little too much nutmeg.
But, overall, highly recommended.
Unfortunately, we were seated across the aisle from the kitchen and it was a little noisy. We had priority seating and there were plenty of empty tables in the front of the restaurant when we arrived. The food service was okay, not exceptional. The portion size of my wife’s entree was plentiful and my entree portion size was marginal but very flavorful. Upon leaving, I noticed that all the booths near the kitchen were occupied by black patrons only. Yet, there were still plenty of empty of tables in other areas of the restaurant. I’ll let the restaurant staff explain how they assign seating.
Always excellent food and service. Definitely a great option in Buckhead. It has a reliable — and delicious — menu.
A small family get together. We all tried the 30th Anniversary specials menu. All were satisfied. The food was excellent, and Brian, the server, was outstanding. We will be returning fairly soon. A great place for a relaxed meal.
The classic diner style with a modern look and appeal. But don't expect diner prices. We were able to get a nice quiet table in an otherwise fairly noisy environment. Would highly recommend the Reuben, but not the meatloaf. Staff were very nice and the service was quite good. Will go there again.
Our server was exceptional - the Wed. night special fried chicken was AWESOME. highly recommend.
Very bad experience! The service was unacceptable, waitress been unbelievably rude and food was over cooked. This place use to be great, but now is overrated.
We frequent the Diner because it has good food at reasonable prices. The wait staff is always very accomodating and it is a pleasurable experience.
We have been going to this restaurant since it opened and have been there at least 50 times. Up until this past year we considered it a treat to visit with friends and and family for a meal there. Something has happened though and the last four visits have been a disaster, each one having its own set of problems. Yesterday was the final straw. We will no longer patronize this restaurant even though we will continue to visit the other Buckhead Life group of restaurants.
We were there yesterday (Saturday, April 28 for a Noon lunch with two of our closest friends. While the service this time was excellent, the food preparation was way sub par. Two of us ordered the fried fish platter. His was ok but mine was under cooked and almost raw in the center. I did not complain because I sent my wife's order back and just decided to suck it up and eat around the edges. My wife, on the other hand, ordered a salad with a grilled chicken breast. The greens were pitiful and very sparse. The chicken was like rubber. You could probably bounce it on the floor. So I complained and she also ordered the fish platter, sauteed instead of fried. Her fish was almost raw when they brought it so we went home and had something to eat.
I am not going to go into the other experiences other than to note that they were also way below acceptable. We are not ones that complain and always give a second or third chance but I must say they have their three strikes. Unfortunately they have lost a customer.
Had taken my friend there to celebrate her birthday.. as always, food & service was impeccable.
A nice meal and good service. The priority seating option worked very well.
Came for the pastrami sandwich that was MUCH larger in the Atlanta EATS commercial. Service was not good. Asked for lemons, got limes, spilled some milk and asked for napkins waitress left napkins and did not clean it up. Asked for coffee to be hotter and she forgot to bring the cup back.
We enjoyed the meal and our friends. The food was very good and the service excellent.
This is one of our favorite Sunday brunch places. Always great food. They ran out of soap one Sunday in the men's room. That has been our only complaint.
We had an amazing waiter that really made our experience at the diner superb! The food was great and such a cool location!
Everything was nice
Very good experience. Great food and service. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Service was good, food delicious and seating was spacious
