Buckhead Diner - PRIORITY SEATING
I went to Emory and ate here weekly years ago. The food was as amazing as always but the timing of food and drinks were very off throughout the entire meal. Also the entire place smelled as if it was cleaned with a dirty rag or mop. They could invest in a good deep cleaning as what was once a gorgeous old place is starting to look a little frayed around the edges. With all that said it is still a great classic Atlanta place to eat.
Buckhead Diner is always a reliable choice when I am in Atlanta. We were seated right away, our service was very good, and the food delicious, as always.
Very attentive server & a birthday dessert for my friend! Always fun and food is delicious.
The food and service were wonderful. My husband and I shared a mesculun salad and I had the seared scallops while he enjoyed the sea bass. All three dishes were wonderful, and my husband’s sea bass was extraordinary. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!
Great meal. Impeccable service. On a business trip and loved the place.
The food was great!!! The wait wasn't bad at all. Would recommend.
The food was good .the service was good for a Mother’s Day.it was way too crowded and noisy for good conversation. We went at 2:30. Tables entirely too close together! We will not return on a holiday! However, I am sure we will go back as it has long been a favorite of ours. Prices comparatively reasonable.
Great Brunch & Service! We had family together and enjoyed our meal together and visited with No Issues-
We can always count on the BHD to be very much our go to place for a good relaxing time with Great entree’s and superb service!
Just excellent a great place to eat with high quality service
The food at Buckhead Diner is consistently good. However, the service on this visit was very, very slow even though the restaurant was not busy.
Always great food and service. The soft shell crab sandwich was amazing. The chicken club was also very good
Just amazingly good food with friendly service. There is nothing we didn’t like. I would definitely go to Buckhead Diner again
This place never disappoints! The staff is on point and there is always great menu choices.
I have enjoyed this restaurant in the past, but this time the service was inattentive. It took too long to get the check, the payment was mishandled and there was just a general lack of attention and care, despite the fact that the place was not crowded at 2-3 pm. This was my son's college graduation lunch- I was disappointed to say the least. I have been disappointed by Buckhead Restaurant Group the past few times- including Chops Lobster Bar. They need to better train their staff. An important day lost a bit of its luster due to my having to get up to handle the situation with the hostess- no manager.
I have been to Buckhead Diner sporadically over the years and every time you walk in there is a horrible smell. It's musty or sewage sort of smelling. It really takes away from the overall experience. The food continues to be good but the interior could probably go for an update. Chairs and booths are looking pretty worn.
It was very very noisy, tomato soup was "luke warm" by the time waiter came by again I had eaten over half - it was not the usual top notch service and food we normally get. We will be back - these things happen.
Always a treat and good excellent
Buckhead Diner is a perennial favorite. Never disappoints. Imaginative food, fantastic service. Nice bar.
The waiter Michael was fantastic! We love Buckhead Diner but he made our experience extra special.
Incredible dining experience; so thrilled with the wait staff, service, quality of food and ambiance ! Thrilled that I selected the Buckhead Diner to entertain my guests.
Friends from out of town.
The food and service was great as usual. We enjoyed our evening celebrating our son’s new job.
I think we were there early enough on a Sunday not to get caught up in the "church crowd" so priority seating was not necessary at 11:30 AM.
Service was excellent, and the food was upscale for a diner. Diner feel on the outside, but upscale on the inside. We were impressed and will definitely be back.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We live about 40 minutes north of the restaurant but it is a go to for all special occasions. It never disappoints.
Despite being credited for the poor service, the food was mediocre at best, which was a significant disappointment given the restaurant's reputation. I don't know if it was just the Easter Rush that got them so befuddled, but 3 out of the 4 meals we ordered were deeply disappointing.
Enjoyed Easter Brunch with small family gathering. Perfect for the occasion. The diner had a “bunny” character for the kids and service was good. I liked that they didn’t change their regular Sunday brunch menu due to the Easter celebration. Would definitely recommend!
loved the place, classic and classy diner experience
Exceptional friendly service, menu has a ton of options for everyone, burgers are great, but the blue plate specials should be considered, fish is very fresh. Blue cheese potato chips a specialty, but needs to be shared. Prices are very fair given high quality. A bit noisy at peak periods and center tables often are over seated causing cramped conditions at times. Ask server for different table if the case. This is especially true of bar area during crowded hours.
Delicious delicious food
We were greeted upon entering the restaurant and immediately seated. Our server was attentive and cordial but the food was not up to their usual standards. We always visit the diner at least once on our Atlanta visits but we were disappointed in the quality of the food on this visit.
I ordered the salmon “medium” and it was clearly cooked well beyond that temperature point. The quinoa was ok not outstanding.
This is atypical so we will definitely return.
Meh. I’ve been visiting here over the years. Service with Brian was great, he’s one of those ubiquitous Southern gentleman type. Efficient and quick as we warned we were short on time. But the beignet appetizers were teeny tiny for the money. The meatloaf, which they claim is a signature dish, was pretty bland with very bland mashed potatoes. So overall, not worth the prices anymore.
I felt the pastrami Reuben was too strongly coated with mustard. It was not good.
I was entertaining out-of-town friends. We were immediately seated, promptly greeted by our waiter and the entire meal was perfect!
Loved the restaurant but portions were sooo small for the price
Best grilled cheese ever
Always a great resturant
Outstanding fried chicken ... only available Sunday and Wednesday.
Always a great experience. Reservation makes the process much faster as Lunch is a very busy time for them. Seated immediately and our server brought water and took drink order why explaining specials.
Once ordered food came quickly and was excellent.
Service was great, pricing reasonable, we were in and out timely and very satisfied.
Everything was fresh and delicious! The menu has myriad choices to satisfy differing tastes. Server was knowledgeable and friendly. Great experience!
Having once lived in Atlanta and frequented the Buckhead Diner, I never miss the opportunity to revisit my favorite restaurant when in town. Our waiter Brian, a fixture at the diner for many years, remains superb. I always order the veal/wild mushroom meatloaf, but at his recommendation, I tried the flank steak. Absolutely superb! And to make my meal even more special, hn brought me a slice of the meatloaf as well. Our group ordered the homemade potatoe chips w/blue cheese -- this remains as delicious as it was when I first tasted it over 20 years ago. Also superb was the white chocolate banana cream pie. For quality, value and service, you can't beat the Buckhead Diner. If you're tired of upscale, chain steak houses that look and taste the same across the USA, try the diner's unique, gourmet versions of diner classics in true retro décor. You won't be disappointed! And you'll keep coming back for more.
