We were seated and ordered drinks which were slow to come. We had a waiter and then the general manager took our order. I ordered hanger steak and fries and requested that my steak be cooked to a medium temperature. When the food arrived my steak which was sliced was so purple it was rare. I waited quite a while for an opportunity to flag someone to let them know it was not cooked as requested. I finally got up and walked over to a gentleman dresses in a suit who was either management or a maitre d. He came to the table and I told him the steak was under cooked and I had asked for it to be medium. He was defensive and kept questioning me about how I wanted the meat to be cooked. It was really uncomfortable. I just kept repeating "medium". Any trained chef should know what medium looks like. He was quite rude and made me feel like I was somehow in the wrong for returning my food to the kitchen. He returned with my plate and said it was really hot. They had pushed the pieces of meat around on the plate and put it under a broiler or something. It was greasy, black, and unappealing. I then complained to the general manager and she comped the entire bill. That was a wonderful, unexpected gesture which I greatly appreciated. However, what they should have done is offer to cook me a fresh steak and all of this could have been avoided. Only after I told them that, did they offer. By this time, my dining companions where finished and I had no interest in eating anymore. I just wanted to get out of there. I tipped the waiter on what I estimated the total would have been. My dining companions loved the meatloaf and the chicken parmesan, but the spaghetti and meatballs were bland and the pasta was overcooked so it was mushy. I will never return. There are too many other restaurants with great food and customer service.

A very southern experience. Our server was great, he had been in Atlanta for 22 years and was very friendly and attentive but not a hoverer. The food was good however too southern for my taste. We tried the strawberry shortcake sundae and it was good but the taste of lavender was a bit much. However, I would recommend this place to people for sure.

Priority seating worked great. The "diner" decor is fun but this is anything but a "diner" - expensive and the fare was not what I would call diner fare.

The Buckhead Diner has been around for 30 years and still produces very good upscale diner food in a fun atmosphere. Service is very good and friendly. Priority Seating works well there.

Jessica was our server & she was wonderful. We actually arrived at 5 for a 5:30 reservation. Obviously the could seat us but the kitchen ran not like they had just started the evening but like they were already in sink. My date had the crabcakes and they came out very hot. I had the pork chop. It was at least 2 inches think. Cooked perfectly.

Excellent wait staff and friendly service from the valet to the seating hostess to the general manager. I’m in a wheelchair and find this restaurant very accessible to my needs. Table height easy to roll under. No floor bumps or steps to get around. Very enjoyable experience and the food is always excellent!

My 97-year-old mother-in-law and I have visited Buckhead Diner numerous times, with varying degrees of satisfaction. This last visit was perfect, probably because we went early (5:30 p.m.) and the noise level was bearable. Food was excellent, and service was acceptable, if not excellent. Did I say the food was excellent? Very good fish and chips and salad. And they discovered the purse that was left behind by my MIL before we left the restaurant. So, disaster avoided. Thanks, BH!

Buckhead Diner has a very innovative menu with lots of small plate alternatives as well as traditional meals. The waitstaff are true professionals who have been there for a long time. Sunday brunch is especially good.

Friends in from SC on a flexible schedule so making our seating arrangement was short, we were on time, table was ready and all was fabulous. Able to talk, eat (great food always) and catch up without the fuss of Buckhead on a Saturday but will all the service. Great time.

Dined with business associates and was very pleased with the food and service. The problem was the price we paid. In viewing the menu ahead of time on line and seeing prices on menu were two different things! We would have appreciated a updated on line priced menu. It was a little embarrassing when we had mentioned the online pricing to find we were mistaken when we saw the menu. Most everything had gone up in price. Fortunately the food and service were still good.

A big part of a visit to any Buckhead Life restaurant is the very strong service that serves you excellent food. Buckhead Diner is no exception. Wonderful food (we had a roasted sea bass special with spinach and calabrese pepper sauce), wonderful service.

We've had the white chocolate banana cream pie several times - and it's tremendous. But this time we just weren't in the mood for that. So, we had the creme fraiche coffee cake. Was a wonderfully light cake, with cinnamon ice cream. Really nice, really light. Would do that again.

Peymon was our server - was a great example of a wonderful server. We'll ask for his table again.

This is the second negative experience my wife and I have had with seating. The host seated us at the booth nearest the waiter's work station and it was very loud. Several other booths were available. We asked to move and he obliged. When we asked the waiter about the decision to initially place us adjacent to the work station, he said it was in his zone and didn't seem concerned. Shouldn't a restaurant consider that location less desirable or do we have unreasonable expectations?

Really lovely meal. The service was wonderful and accommodating. Kale salad was refreshing and delicious. The cod was very fresh and perfectly cooked, and I’m a bonafide snob. We really appreciated the kind and friendly staff who added so much to the experience. A+

Priority Seating got our group of six to the front of the line and we were seated within a couple of minutes of checking-in. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. The food is always very good here. The special feature today was the fried chicken served with mac & cheese, and it was delicious. Other dishes we enjoyed: shrimp & grits, meatloaf, and the crab cakes. The house Malbec was very good as was the key lime pie and triple chocolate cake we had for dessert. Early Sunday evening, the place was almost full but conversation at the table was easy to carry on.
