Buckhead Diner - PRIORITY SEATING
My pecan encrusted rout was prepared excellently and presented with whipped potatoes and crispy green beans. Temperature, texture and flavor were outstanding!
We loved it! First time diners - food was excellent, Sean was our waiter and was funny and friendly and very professional without making you feel like you were in an Uber-upscale stuff restaurant. We will be back!
We had a fabulous waiter (Joe) and great conversation with the manager. Food as always is great
Our waiter was phenomenal and, as always, the food was yummy.
Food not cooked properly. Service was horrific.
It was fabulous!! Loved the fancy diner concept.
Micah was a great server! Very attentive and anticipates our needs. He was also super flexible about what we could order in the menu since it was early and we really wanted breakfast types of items, but there was no brunch on Saturday.
Host and hostess seemed indifferent to our presence. We were with an elderly guest and the hostess took us to a table very far away from the door right next to a large and very loud party and we could barely get in the booth. We knew we wouldn't be able to hear ourselves next to them. There were several tables much closer and more easily accessible, so we couldn't understand why she refused to seat us there. But, our rather poor reception was forgotten once we were in the very capable hands of Michael, the waiter. He went out of his way to make our elderly guest feel very special, as we were celebrating a milestone for her. He made an otherwise poor experience a wonderful evening out.
We had a delightful meal with delicious food and the best server ever!!!
Everything food and service was excellent
Great. Server was excellent. It was my mother’s birthday and she made sure we celebrated it. She was awesome!
Been there many times, always enjoyable. Great menu, love the options. Only shortcomings-small water glasses that need frequent refills, servers tend to leave you dry if that’s your only drink. Always seems the servers are more attentive during the meal, then hard to find when you’re ready for your check. Wouldn’t be an issue if leisurely dining but more so if you need to get going to your next stop.
We always enjoy the Buckhead Diner! The appetizers (truffled eggs and calamari) were divine! We all enjoyed something different for dinner and ALL were delicious! And, then, there were the deserts! Yummm! A delightful evening!
Seating was prompt and in a booth as requested. I did order an entree salad with dressing on the side as I usually end up taking some home, but the dressing was put on the salad. The server offered to make me another salad, but I hated to do that and waste food. Still enjoyed, but what I took home didn't last for the next day....was too wilted. Still....enjoyed our evening.
Birthday celebration - great dinner and service! Thanks for the free bday dessert for my friend turning 50!
Chose BD for our anniversary dinner prior to the Elton John concert. Had a great experience! Greeter/hostess wished us a happy anniversary, as did our server. Our dinner choices were cooked perfectly and delicious, the wine was enjoyable, the service very attentive.
We received a complimentary dessert for our anniversary celebration, nice touch!
I am a concierge at The Whitley Hotel. The service and food were exceptional. Buckhead Diner will be on my "Highly Recommended" List.
Wonderful service and the crab cakes never disappoint!
Maybe it says this in the restaurant description, but there’s a dress code! Old school, but it’s not too much—no flip flops, tank tops, t-shirts with logos. Also, parking is $2 valet only.
Food was quite good. Juicy and tasty fried chicken and waffle. I asked for extra syrup because it came lightly dressed. Side of cheese grits was wonderful. Coffee was a little weak. I’m not really an aficionado, but even I could tell it was weak because I could see through it to the bottom of the cup.
We have eaten here many times, this time was way below par. Our service was awful. Had always ask for water, refills etc. slow food service mixed up orders. One had the blt which was not edible. Too expensive a restaurant to have off days like this!
My first visit here was in 1998, when my Daughter was attending a University in Atlanta. This past meal was very enjoyable, but somehow I remember it as having been even better (in particular the piece of White Chocolate Banana Cream Pie that I was served).
Great food. Love this place!
Joe the waiter was great and food and martini s perfect
Dinner was delightful! From the delicious deviled eggs, Thai chili calamari to Chef Charlie’s veal meatballs and pasta, ALL delicious! AND, thoughtfully served!
We were seated right away when we got there. So essentially no wait. The food was amazing! The grilled cheese and tomato soup was TO DIE FOR. I think it was the best I've ever had. Go with a friend and split it as an appetizer. You'll be glad you did.
We went for Sunday brunch and we were a little early but were seated immediately.
I had the smoked salmon Benedict with potato pancake. It was excellent. My wife had the pecan pancakes.
My daughter and her friend had the chicken and waffles. I also had a side of garlic grits that were outstanding.
Service was excellent .
Disappointed. The crab omelette had plenty of crab but otherwise flavorless. Grits were good. Wedge was ok
Food very disappointing.
Great waiter with so much personality. Thanks!
Consistent food quality and always outstanding service. Upscale casual at its finest.
You must have the banana cream pie with white chocolate. The best part of the meal! My husband enjoyed his spaghetti and meatballs very much. I had the fish and chips and was a little disappointed. The fish was crunchy but a little over cooked. The fries were okay but nothing special.
It was a Sunday night so it was not crowded. Fried chicken was dry.
Our server was nothing special. She was not able to make us feel welcome from beginning to end. Made excuses for warm coffee got our order wrong. Just not what you expect from Buckhead Life Group.
My husband's poached eggs were extremely underdone. My fish sand which seemed under cooked also.
Service was VERY bad. Yes, we did let the server know.
Wonderful service and food
Food is always good at any Buckhead Group restaurants. Service was not up to the usual level I've experienced in the past. Waited too long to place our drink order (and appetizers). Next table was seated after us and they were finished with appetizers and drinks before we ordered. Ordered a bottle of wine with dinner. It was delivered as we were completing our meal. Returned it. Disappointing. Prior experiences were far superior to this birthday celebration.
From the moment we sat down to meet our server Michael to the bite of of our appetizers, we could tell this is a special place. Our shrimp tacos and crab cake apps were delightful, and the meatloaf and blue plate special halibut were out of bounds. Top it off with nice wines, and what you have here is a flavortown experience!
Excellent service and food. Very enjoyable evening. We were told the wait was about 25 minutes, however, it was only about 10 minutes. Priority seating is definitely worth it!
Priority seating really did not do any good. We still had to wait until all those who arrived before us had been seated. Not sure what the priority seating option did for us.
The Buckhead Diner is our favorite Buckhead Life restaurant. We always enjoy thevaried menu items, especially Shrimp & grits. I had the shrimp tacos on this visit and he lettuce salad with bacon bits,
The four of had a great visit and we will return soon.
