Buckhead Diner - PRIORITY SEATING
Came early to avoid waiting even though we had priority seating. Wonderful waiter from Savannah & my guest was also from Savannah. Welcoming & just the right amount of attention to details.
They had no idea about priority seating and hostess very slow. Parking was a zoo. Valet totally overloaded. But solid food and best shakes in town
Very festive experience for our office holiday luncheon - thanks!
Excellent atmosphere, service and food! Can't wait to go back.
Celebrating our friends birthday! All was well except the food wasn’t very tasty and our server didn’t seem like he cared much
Atmosphere is charming- authentic diner experience. Food was fantastic; the four cheese grilled cheese and tomato soup hit the spot. Others at the table had the meatloaf, chicken sandwich on pretzel bun, spaghetti and meatballs and a Reuben, all loved their meals. Shakes for dessert!
Very pleasant dining experience. Prompt and friendly service and the food was excellently prepared and delicious. Very nice selection of cocktails, wine, and beer. The ambiance is absolutely lovely. The dessert menu is to die for. The valet attendants are both courteous and professional. Definitely will return.
Everything was wonderful!! Excellent Bloody Mary’s!
Everything was just perfect from food to service everything was great! Brian my waiter is an institution in his own right in Atlanta. He provides amazing service with a smile and lots of humor. Cannot wait to go back.
Food delicious! Service divine! The Diner is dressed in its Christmas best and is beautiful! A lovely evening!
Buckhead Diner is an Atlanta institution/tradition. Much of the menu is really tasty but, oh my, the calaories can pile up. Twenty years ago, the Buckhead Diner ranked among the best places in Atlanta to eat for fun and the food. And while it is still wildly popular and probably hasn't slipped in quality or consistency -- and I don't really want it to change -- it would not be fair to say it still ranked among Atlanta's best. This is not a criticism, at all. I'm only saying for some of us tastes change and the restaurant scene evolves. But still the very best version of diner dining.
One suggestion, better stronger hotter coffee in larger cups
We loved our experience here. We were seated immediately with our priority seating in a really nice corner booth. The whole restaurant is decorated nicely for the holidays. Our server was wonderful and went the extra mile for us. The food was above average, but not exceptional. I would return here again and highly recommend to friends.
Great service and food!
Food was mediocre. Nothing stood out; I would not return for the overpriced mediocre food.
Great food and outstanding service.
Michael is the best waiter!!!
Our waitress, Essence (hope I didn't spell wrong) was awesome.
The concierge was outstanding - server very good. Food is good, it was easy to talk.
My pecan encrusted rout was prepared excellently and presented with whipped potatoes and crispy green beans. Temperature, texture and flavor were outstanding!
We loved it! First time diners - food was excellent, Sean was our waiter and was funny and friendly and very professional without making you feel like you were in an Uber-upscale stuff restaurant. We will be back!
We had a fabulous waiter (Joe) and great conversation with the manager. Food as always is great
Our waiter was phenomenal and, as always, the food was yummy.
Food not cooked properly. Service was horrific.
It was fabulous!! Loved the fancy diner concept.
Micah was a great server! Very attentive and anticipates our needs. He was also super flexible about what we could order in the menu since it was early and we really wanted breakfast types of items, but there was no brunch on Saturday.
Host and hostess seemed indifferent to our presence. We were with an elderly guest and the hostess took us to a table very far away from the door right next to a large and very loud party and we could barely get in the booth. We knew we wouldn't be able to hear ourselves next to them. There were several tables much closer and more easily accessible, so we couldn't understand why she refused to seat us there. But, our rather poor reception was forgotten once we were in the very capable hands of Michael, the waiter. He went out of his way to make our elderly guest feel very special, as we were celebrating a milestone for her. He made an otherwise poor experience a wonderful evening out.
We had a delightful meal with delicious food and the best server ever!!!
Everything food and service was excellent
Great. Server was excellent. It was my mother’s birthday and she made sure we celebrated it. She was awesome!
Been there many times, always enjoyable. Great menu, love the options. Only shortcomings-small water glasses that need frequent refills, servers tend to leave you dry if that’s your only drink. Always seems the servers are more attentive during the meal, then hard to find when you’re ready for your check. Wouldn’t be an issue if leisurely dining but more so if you need to get going to your next stop.
Seating was prompt and in a booth as requested. I did order an entree salad with dressing on the side as I usually end up taking some home, but the dressing was put on the salad. The server offered to make me another salad, but I hated to do that and waste food. Still enjoyed, but what I took home didn't last for the next day....was too wilted. Still....enjoyed our evening.
We always enjoy the Buckhead Diner! The appetizers (truffled eggs and calamari) were divine! We all enjoyed something different for dinner and ALL were delicious! And, then, there were the deserts! Yummm! A delightful evening!
Birthday celebration - great dinner and service! Thanks for the free bday dessert for my friend turning 50!
Chose BD for our anniversary dinner prior to the Elton John concert. Had a great experience! Greeter/hostess wished us a happy anniversary, as did our server. Our dinner choices were cooked perfectly and delicious, the wine was enjoyable, the service very attentive.
We received a complimentary dessert for our anniversary celebration, nice touch!
I am a concierge at The Whitley Hotel. The service and food were exceptional. Buckhead Diner will be on my "Highly Recommended" List.
Wonderful service and the crab cakes never disappoint!
Maybe it says this in the restaurant description, but there’s a dress code! Old school, but it’s not too much—no flip flops, tank tops, t-shirts with logos. Also, parking is $2 valet only.
Food was quite good. Juicy and tasty fried chicken and waffle. I asked for extra syrup because it came lightly dressed. Side of cheese grits was wonderful. Coffee was a little weak. I’m not really an aficionado, but even I could tell it was weak because I could see through it to the bottom of the cup.
We have eaten here many times, this time was way below par. Our service was awful. Had always ask for water, refills etc. slow food service mixed up orders. One had the blt which was not edible. Too expensive a restaurant to have off days like this!
