Buckhead Diner - PRIORITY SEATING
Great food and service
The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding.
One of the best meals we have had at Buckhead Diner. A good time!
Very enjoyable-Brian was a hoot and very friendly. Just a little bit noisy. Great burger!
Had a wonderful dinner and service was great.
Everything was lovely! We we seated quickly. The service was excellent and the food was delicious!!
First time ever that we have not had a great experience. Received our salads, then half way through eating that, suddenly main course is brought out just pushing plates aside to put them down. I had to finish my salad with plate in the air. No bread. I asked twice before they brought it finally after main course. They forgot to bring the rice that came with my dish. I had to remind them that it was missing. No spoon brought for my friend’s soup. He had to ask. Little to no attention to water glasses being refilled. I was really quite shocked at the poor service and the kitchen’s awful timing, having eaten here multiple times in the past including just last week by chance.
My wife had the Reuben Sandwich which was not very good. The meat was EXTREMELY tough and the red cabbage was not sour enough. I had the crab omelette which was very fishy and the crab was plentiful but in very small pieces - not "lump" style. The bar tender was a little short in his replies to the whiskey selection and did not answer questions just kept saying what you see is what we have. This visit was not nearly as good as previous ones.
Had a great birthday lunch with a friend:) Buckhead Diner still serving great food after all these years:)
I've been to Buckhead Diner several times and we always like it.
The food isn't spectacular but it's pretty darn good and it's moderately priced for the portions you receive. This past visit I had the "Salute to the South" burger. It was a perfectly cooked medium. My husband has the salmon and Quinoa and liked it. We were both too full for dessert.
The service is always outstanding and the valet guys are fast.
There is a bit of a funky smell that circulates throughout the restaurant but it's nothing to do with bad food, I think it's what you get when you choose to eat an original diner that's been there for so long. Smells tend to build up and settle into the walls, décor, carpet etc.
Overall; great experience.
I always enjoy going to the Buckhead Diner. The food always innovative and very good. Service was outstanding. Ambience excellent. The building could use some freshening up such as new carpet. Otherwise, excellent all around. It has stood the test of time.
We prefer to sit at the bar and we had it all to ourselves on a Saturday night! The two bartenders on duty, Justin and Alex, created delicious cocktails, made interesting conversation, were exceptional hosts and provided outstanding service. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. We highly recommend the Buckhead Diner and we will be back without a doubt.
Loved the atmosphere—it was definitely a cool place!
The food was okay. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a neat place to eat.
Our dinner was good but not memorable. They tried to seat us right behind the hostess station as you first walk in when there were plenty of other tables available. The staff was too eager to clear our table. One grabbed our wine glass as he scooted by (which still had wine in it!). Another grabbed the bread basket before we were done. The crab omelet was not a traditional omelet but cooked eggs folded over with crabmeat stuffed in between. I would not get that again. The grits were delicious and the best part of the meal. The banana/white chocolate pie was huge and we took half home. This was our first time at the diner and we might try lunch and see how it goes but will probably pass on dinner again.
Wheaton was an excellent waiter
I eat at the Buckhead group restaurants quite often, they seem to struggle getting the steaks cooked properly. Maybe I should stop ordering them! They do try to make it right but it does put a damper on the mood of our dining experience. Also the menus were dirty, nasty!
Buckhead Diner is truly an Atlanta tradition. I often take out of town visitors to Buckhead Diner for a taste of good southern cooking. Service is top notch, a menu of good variety, and some unique staples (blue cheese potato chips). If you can schedule your visit to catch one of the two nights they offer their fried chicken.
Best experience I have ever had at Buckhead Diner. The server, Hendrix, was perfection. W
The food was good and the service was excellent. The gnats flying around was disconcerting.
It is the best gourmet diner in the 50 states . Top notch food ,great diner atmosphere , priced affordably for family dining . You can even bring a date there and she will be impressed.
I had dinner at the Buckhead Diner with my daughter recently. It was as good as ever.
We had another great visit to the Buckhead Diner. The food and the service were great as always. My husband had a burger and fries, while I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup for our entrees. I love the way that they make the grilled cheese, it is really different and so good. For dessert my husband had the chocolate cake and I had the Sticky Toffee Pudding, both were amazing.
The restaurant isn’t what it used to be. Had a really odd smell too.
Excellent as always! Great variety on the menu and excellent service. Dine with just appetizers or a meal or both. The food is delicious.
Always a good experience. I love the dinner comfort food options with a Buckhead Dinner flair. The gumbo was fantastic and the filet was cooked perfectly. Awesome.
Our waiter, Hendricks, was great. Large portions. Good food. Nothing fancy, but tasty! Only complaint is that they make you valet park when my car was just steps away from the door. Overall, good experience.
Excellent as usual, great food service and ambiance!
We had a very good dinner and our server, Brain, was excellent. Three had the salmon BLT and one had the vegetable plate. The potato chips and milk shake were especially delicious.
We have been using our summer Buckhead Life cards for years and have enjoyed our experience. We have been to all the Buckhead Life restaurants and have our favorites. We made a reservation for 645pm on Open Table, arrived at 640pm and checked in. There was no indication on open table that this was a priority seating reservation. We waited almost 45 minutes for a table. We were repeatedly told the company line; "we are sorry for the delay, we understand your frustration, la dee da dee da!
This wait was unacceptable. I would rather know that I am signing up for priority seating rather than a reservation beforehand so I can make an informed decision. I would not have come to dinner if I had known what I was getting into.
The food was good. The bar looked way better this time than it did last year. The service was great.
The Buckhead Diner was fabulous!! We were seated right away with no wait. Esence was our server. She was really personable and went over the menu. I had the scallops and butternut squash risotto which was outstanding. My husband had the Fried Chicken and Mac & Cheese which he just raved about. We really enjoyed our entire meal from food to wonderful service. We look forward to dining again soon!!
Just not the same old BHD. We were seated promptly and then waited 15 minutes before seeing our waitress. Ordered our beverages and then waited another 10 minutes for iced teas. Had to ask for brunch mini-muffins and for refills on our drinks. Not sure what’s changed but clearly something’s different.
We had a family dinner for 8 that grew to an unexpected 9. The restaurant was very accommodating, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. I highly recommend Buckhead Diner!
The service was good but the food was expensive and somewhat disappointing. The crab cakes were delicious as usual but the price is expensive-$30 for 2 crab cakes, mashed potatoes and just ok green beans. This dish use to be served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The meat loaf was disappointing. The taste was bland and served with mash potatoes and green beans. Not so excited about returning.
Their veal mushroom meatloaf is outstanding as well as their shrimp/chicken gumbo soup! And don’t miss the shrimp egg rolls. This restaurant continues to be the best”Diner” ever invented!
This was so much fun. Not the diners we grew up with. A mile above. Great food and service. Would definitely go back.
Always a treat to eat at the diner
My food was good but I was swatting away 4/5 fruit flies throughout my meal. I also had a very long hair in my salad.
This place is consistently great food and service. With that said, be prepared that this is not a "reservation" in the traditional sense. You may have to wait during busy hours even if you use Open Table.
Well - we didn't really get priority seating... had a significant wait. BUT management made up for that by taking extra great care of those of us who got caught in the crunch. Complimentary beverages, apps, and extra attention were offered to offset an unexpected rush hour or two. There were some mis-steps in the service, but somehow they all ended up working out for the best. And the food, as always, was delish! It was great that what could have been a nightmare actually ended up to be a very pleasant dinner!
