Buckhead Diner - PRIORITY SEATING
It was a Sunday night so it was not crowded. Fried chicken was dry.
Our server was nothing special. She was not able to make us feel welcome from beginning to end. Made excuses for warm coffee got our order wrong. Just not what you expect from Buckhead Life Group.
My husband's poached eggs were extremely underdone. My fish sand which seemed under cooked also.
Service was VERY bad. Yes, we did let the server know.
Wonderful service and food
Food is always good at any Buckhead Group restaurants. Service was not up to the usual level I've experienced in the past. Waited too long to place our drink order (and appetizers). Next table was seated after us and they were finished with appetizers and drinks before we ordered. Ordered a bottle of wine with dinner. It was delivered as we were completing our meal. Returned it. Disappointing. Prior experiences were far superior to this birthday celebration.
From the moment we sat down to meet our server Michael to the bite of of our appetizers, we could tell this is a special place. Our shrimp tacos and crab cake apps were delightful, and the meatloaf and blue plate special halibut were out of bounds. Top it off with nice wines, and what you have here is a flavortown experience!
Excellent service and food. Very enjoyable evening. We were told the wait was about 25 minutes, however, it was only about 10 minutes. Priority seating is definitely worth it!
Priority seating really did not do any good. We still had to wait until all those who arrived before us had been seated. Not sure what the priority seating option did for us.
The Buckhead Diner is our favorite Buckhead Life restaurant. We always enjoy thevaried menu items, especially Shrimp & grits. I had the shrimp tacos on this visit and he lettuce salad with bacon bits,
The four of had a great visit and we will return soon.
The cod sandwich basically fell apart and was a mess to eat and the Nicoise salad wasn't quite as tasty as usual, but we still always enjoy the Buckhead Diner, so we'll be back.
We were very pleased with our overall dining experience at the Buckhead Diner. We were seated as we arrived and our waiter was very attentive to our needs.
Buckhead Diner is always a consistent choice on the Atlanta dining scene. Laid back vibe with good food.
Thanks for bringing back the shrimp and grits!
We had an excellent experience at the restaurant and using open table reservations made it perfect. It is always a more secure feeling when going out to dinner in Atlanta to have priority seating
Service is always good and this restaurant. Thank you
Michael was superb! He was available even though he had multiple tables in our section. I tried something new and the food was great. Next time I will try to leave room for dessert.
The food was Ok and the service great.
Awesome! Service was perfect, the food was delicious & the Martini’s nice and cold!
Very disappointing visit here. We have been several times and apparently this was an “off” visit.
Great service; the waitress was friendly and informative about the food choices
Just your average diner food.
My husband and I enjoyed dining together and will go again
It had been 20 years since I had dinner at Buckhead Diner. It was still good. The chilean sea bass was delicious. Fun place, too. The decor is starting to show it's age but otherwise it was nice dinner and evening.
We enjoyed the entire experience, our waitress, Lala, was very sweet and helpful. We also liked the food, and the ambience was our favorite part, beautiful venue. I would highly recommend going here.
My crab omelette was really good. They doing go skimp on the amount of crab meat. I did'nt order it this time but the calamari appetizer is one the best I have had forever. My dad who swore he would never eat it digs in my plate for calamari when I order. I don't remeber his name but if you get the server "Nick" iI think thats his name- your bound for a amazing night andd he treats you like family.
Celebrating a birthday - my friend enjoyed the food and the ambience. She had the crab cakes and enjoyed them. I tried the vegetable plate for the first time - and it was well prepared and delicious. Our waiter was spirited - and mildly attentive, which honored our get-together as friends. The bonus was the dessert honoring her birthday! Great experience and my friend enjoyed her first time at the Diner. I'm glad, because this spot - is one of my favs!!
My primary complaint from my most recent visit to the long attended friendly establishment, was the service. I was very disappointed at the overall attention paid to my party by our server. After initially greeting us enthusiastically, her attentions quickly wained. I mentioned on arrival to her thatit way my birthday . In the past desert was offered complimently, she remarked I would be getting from her exactly what I received last year. We laughed and ordered conceals. I chose a salmon entree and kale salad. After the entrees arrived for my guest and I, I inquired about the salad. I was told the salad was the quinoa and kale on which the salmon sat. OK< I was not clear with my order. We did not see the server again for quite a while. She came back to whisk away our plated and offer dessert menu. We perused the menu and made selections-also ordering coffee. Coffer was delivered not at all hot. Then desert was brought. I asked the young man who delivered desert for hot coffee. We had tried unsuccessfully to get the attention of our server. At the conclusion of the meal, my guest had to attract the attention of a manager to get refills on coffee. At which point I requested a check. We had not seen our server. She briskly dropped off the check and kept on moving. I was dining with one of the monthly dine around cards with a $25 credit. I presented this along with a credit card for payment. Cards returned with no itemized bill of fare. I wanted to be certain the credit had been applied. I tried to again get her attention to request the itemization. Again requested the assistance of a manager and it was provided. I worked in the Peasant restaurants, as a server many years ago. I know waiting tables is a tough job. I usually am most generous with my comments regarding servers. I can tell you that this individual was not cut out for personal service. I will think twice before returning the Buckhead Diner. I must compliment the chef as my entree was excellent.
Great service, excellent food
Great experience. Food was incredible. Service was perfect. Minor imperfections but overall, a lovely treat for some out of town guests.
Love this place...this time I had the S’mores bar for dessert. OMG! Delicious!
Had dinner at the bar. Huge crowd waiting for tables. Great service, exceptional burgers, great banana cream pie. Who could ask for anything more?
Never was seated. Even with so-called “call ahead seating” through OpenTable, we waited over 30 minutes after checking in at reception desk, only to be told we were not on their list after our wait. Staff was quite rude about the mix up and showed no interest in seating us. Never even apologized. We left and will not return.
We made an open table priority seating reservation, but apparently 10 other groups had done so for the same time. We came at seven and were seated at 7:35. We generally skip restaurants that don’t take reservations. After 3 requests we asked the hostess to get us bread. The food we ordered was very well prepared and remainder of the service much better.
Go if you don’t value your time.
Waitress was careless. Didn’t make any effort to make us feel welcome. At the end she threw the bills in the table and walked off. Rude
Even with “priority sitting reservation we Gad to wait 20-26 minutes because the were overbooked.
Not very happy with the customer service at all
For some reason, every time we dine here it always smells like bleach. I’ve been here 4 times over the course of the past year and it always smells the same. It kinda ruins your experience. Other than that the food it’s good. This last time we went will be our last though. We always order water because we don’t drink or like soda, but the server we had this last time kept asking us if we wanted to order drinks. When we sat down, after he brought bread. And After we both ordered our steak and frites and he puts the order in, he comes back and asks if we would like a glass of Cabernet to accompany the entree. And when we said no, he walked away disappointed. Between that service and the smell, we will most likely not come back.
Bianca was a wonderful young woman who was especially helpful. We had a super time.
Our waiter Michael makes a great dining experience even better
Food was particularly good. There were 6 of us and each of us was very happy with the quality of the food.
Great food and service! Not much free parking mostly Valet. Nice place take guest in Buckhead area. Not a chain dinner but upscale dinner.
We had fried chicken and meatloaf. Not exotic but food and service was very good plus dine around card helped with cost.
