Buckhead Diner - PRIORITY SEATING
I felt the pastrami Reuben was too strongly coated with mustard. It was not good.
I was entertaining out-of-town friends. We were immediately seated, promptly greeted by our waiter and the entire meal was perfect!
Best grilled cheese ever
Always a great resturant
Outstanding fried chicken ... only available Sunday and Wednesday.
Always a great experience. Reservation makes the process much faster as Lunch is a very busy time for them. Seated immediately and our server brought water and took drink order why explaining specials.
Once ordered food came quickly and was excellent.
Service was great, pricing reasonable, we were in and out timely and very satisfied.
Everything was fresh and delicious! The menu has myriad choices to satisfy differing tastes. Server was knowledgeable and friendly. Great experience!
Having once lived in Atlanta and frequented the Buckhead Diner, I never miss the opportunity to revisit my favorite restaurant when in town. Our waiter Brian, a fixture at the diner for many years, remains superb. I always order the veal/wild mushroom meatloaf, but at his recommendation, I tried the flank steak. Absolutely superb! And to make my meal even more special, hn brought me a slice of the meatloaf as well. Our group ordered the homemade potatoe chips w/blue cheese -- this remains as delicious as it was when I first tasted it over 20 years ago. Also superb was the white chocolate banana cream pie. For quality, value and service, you can't beat the Buckhead Diner. If you're tired of upscale, chain steak houses that look and taste the same across the USA, try the diner's unique, gourmet versions of diner classics in true retro décor. You won't be disappointed! And you'll keep coming back for more.
Buckhead Diner is always a good choice. Sunday brunch is good, but go early to avoid the crowds and the noise.
Even after over 30 years the Buckhead Diner remains our top spot for a casual dinner, not to mention a great lunch spot. Fun menu with something for everyone and great service.
A bit disappointed. No breakfast
Menu on Saturday? Food was good but not great. Place had a strange smell. Wouldn’t go back.
Great for business lunch
Had a delicious salad and order of crab cake. Food was exactly how I like it. I would prefer a tablecloth on my table so that was my only complaint.
The bathrooms were dirty. There was a fruit fly that kept flying around us. The server got my son's milk shake wrong, and his burger arrived incorrect twice. Not worth over $122.00
We dine here frequently. We always enjoy the restaurant.
We arrived at 4:30 PM, an hour earlier than expected. Our service was fantastic, but our food was a bit above average. We had been there a prior day (a few months ago) and it was an amazing experience. We specifically commented on the difference in our desserts. My coworker got the chocolate cake and it wasn't as moist. We're not sure if it's because we still came in under the lunch staff versus a dinner staff last time or not. Suffice to say, a restaurant we were excited to go to will now be passed over for another choice the next we're in town.
One of my favorite places to dine when I am in Atlanta.
Buckhead Diner is always great! Laid back diner atmosphere with an affordable Buckhead Life menu
The setting and service were very nice but the food wasn't up to par and certainly not worth the cost
Great food, good value and we love sitting in Michael's area- he's a fabulous waiter!
Our service and food were excellent. Can't wait to go back.
Attentive service and delicious food.
We were on our way to a special activity at 2 St. Pius School.
We both enjoyed our food, seating, and the staff was great/attentive to us.
Thanks for a great time with my 14 yr old granddaughter.
Great evening and wonderful. Loved our dinner and will return! Thank you.
I would recommend Buckhead Diner with an asterisk. If you are in a hurry and don't mind higher volume, this is fine. Food was really good but we felt very rushed and it was not "special" enough for the price tag. I was never able to finish one course before the next one arrived. We waited longer for our table at 6:30 (even though tables were open when we arrived) than I did to get my first two courses. My wife and I don't get out often and wanted to go for our first time in 22 years in Atlanta. If you're looking for quieter, medium-longer paced and special, try somewhere else (including some of their other Buckhead Dining Group).
Service and food were awesome as usual. A shout out to the gentleman who helped with bread and water service. Very attentive and friendly.
Food is very good. It's "upscale" diner fare, but it is pricey. Great parmesan encrusted grilled cheese sandwich with homemade tomato soup. I loved it. I loved the ambiance. But we went for lunch and while it was comfortably busy, and the service was excellent, it was really noisy. The music was way too loud.
Family of 8 adults and one baby. Waitress handled decently but got final check messed up three times. Food as okay. Two of us ha the hanger steak and frites. My steak was lukewarm and fries slightly overdone and nothing to write home about. One person had the filet which was superb. Another person enjoyed the Cuban sandwich,. One teen was was pleased with her tacos. Another adult has the ahupi tuna and they loved that. Kids loved their milkshakes. Cosmo and wine super good. Ordered two, orders of the Maytag blue cheese potato chips which are more like kettle chips. Much better years ago when they were sliced thin. The calamari appetizer did not taste fresh. It had a fishy taste. So overall it was a hot and miss.
We enjoyed a leisurely paced reunion luncheon
The server was gracious, efficient and we never felt
pressed to finish. Loved the traditional setting and it lent a sense of the Atlanta I have enjoyed for decades.
I did miss the chips with blue cheese recently taken off the menu.
The hostesses where discombobulated and not very effective.
Love the lively ambiance at Bulkhead Diner. Our waiter was a trip and kept us entertained while taking care of us. The food was very good too! We did find the dining room to smell of fish that was being cooked in the open kitchen which was a bit unpleasant but other than that we had a great evening!
A very pleasant Sunday brunch. Food was very good and service was excellent.
We returned just for the sticky toffee pudding. I’m just saying. Wow.
We were early and then received email that we did not show... service was slow our poor waiter was sooooo busy.
Great Food is great and we had a really nice time
Great place to grab a casual bite. Good service and fast. Recommend priority seating if you get there after 6:00 PM. Valet parking is a must. All around good experience.
One of the most dependable restaurants in Atlanta.
Great first time experience!!!
Wow. This place was an amazing surprise. Great food and incredible service. Everyone enjoyed their food. The salmon was out of this world. Really!!! The waiter was a jack of all trades, which made for a wonderful customer experience. Will definitely return.
Was excited to see sauteed Bay Scallops on the menu. They came on a bed of risotto, but were overly salty, and I like salt! When I asked for some bread, the waitress said she had to check, since they were running low that evening. She eventually brought it.
My first less than excellent experience at Buckhead Diner. I'll give it another try.
