About Buckeye Hall of Fame Grill
The Buckeye Grill is a sports bar and grill that is an homage to the Ohio State Buckeyes football team. The Buckeye Grill is a sports haven through and through. Here there are dozens of TVs lining the walls, as well as all sorts of Ohio State University paraphernalia acting exclusively as the decor. Outside of college football season, the TVs will be showing whatever sporting events are popular, but if OSU football is on, you can bet every screen in the house will be locked in to the game.
As for the menu, it is certainly bar food, but done exceptionally well. Not so at the Buckeye Grill. Guests should go for the Big Daddy Burger with two 10 oz patties, the pulled pork sandwich or the Philly cheese steak.

Buckeye Hall of Fame Grill Ratings and Reviews
Probably a great place to watch the game. My kids had fun looking at all of the Buckeye memorabilia. As for dinner, it took an unusually long time to get our food and then the food was cold. The boys says their hamburgers were good. My chicken sandwich and my wife's salad was just okay. Not in line with the decor and work/money put into the place.
The strangest part came when it was time for free ice cream for the four kids. The waitress said she put the order in and 30 minutes later it came. Keeping kids still for 30 minutes after dinner is not easy. It was blamed on the kitchen.
I will not be going back with my family. Maybe with the guys to watch a game.
Atmosphere was great, server was awesome. Food was nothing to brag about. Very disappointed with appetizers. Hard pretzels. Quesadilla (very little chicken ). My husband has never not finished a hamburger so that speaks volumes. Anyway long story short, none of our party would return for food. Showing someone decor would be the only recommendation.
Our party of six women all ordered different lunches. One woman sent back the fish tacos which were too spicy for her and ordered the fish and chips. Everyone enjoyed their choices. The wait staff was attentive and we enjoyed the interaction of the "costumed" wait staff with the little boy at the next table.
My wife and I came in last Friday night. They were doing an Ohio State TV Show taping in the front of the bar, which was a cool experience. There were plenty of Ohio State fans to match all of the Ohio State memorabilia.
Our server Brittany was outstanding. She was attentive to our order, and made sure our cups never emptied. She appeared to be extremely busy with many tables, but always found time to stop by and check on us, and even make some small talk to make us feel comfortable.
The food was outstanding. My wife had Chicken parmesan, which I sampled. Both of us agreed it was fantastic. Much better than chain Italian restaurants. I had the 12 gauge, which was phenomenal. The sandwich was huge, I had to take off half the bun and use a fork and knife, which I'm not proud of... Haha.
After dinner, we stepped out to the patio and enjoyed the Fire pit they have built. Our server Brittany still made sure to come outside and check on our drinks, multiple times throughout the night. We remained outside for a few hours, enjoying the scene and our drinks. Very impressed that as we went outside we weren't "forgotten about".
Overall, a fantastic experience. Brittany really set the experience apart from other places we visit.
We came out for my boyfriends birthday. He is a huge Buckeye fan, we had a fabulous night. The food was spectacular, and we had a large group. We did make a reservation ahead of time, which was super easy. We loved all the memorabilia. It is worth taking a stroll thru the whole restaurant just to see it all. Overall, I would highly recommend. The patio was gorgeous. We will be returning.
I had a chicken quesadilla off the app menu and it was supposed to have caramelized onions and the onions were put on almost raw. Not a big deal if that was the way the menu ready but as a chef...that is a big difference in taste. The salad was fine but nothing to write home about either. I will not be back unless I hear of a change in the menu.
We were in town because my son was competing in the state Special Olympics track & field events. My other son is a huge Buckeyes fan, so I knew he would enjoy all of the memorabilia (I've been here before). My son had medaled in the team relay (silver) earlier in the afternoon and still had on his team shirt and medal. The waitress asked him all about it (to which he did not hesitate to tell her about his accomplishments) :) The waitress said she was going to make sure the manager knew they had a "star" in the house and they treated both of my sons to chocolate sundaes! The service was great and being a special needs mom I sincerely appreciated the extra attention :) We will for sure be back!
Had booked through opentable.com. Had no issues. Requested and received special accommodations and got exactly what was requested. Food was good. Wide selection of menu options. Staff was very friendly and our waitress was awesome. We had a large group so she was busy but took great care of us all. Great service. Very rare theses days!!!!
I will be back. Both to the Buckeye Hall of Fame and booking reservations through opentable.com.
I work in the same complex as the Grill. Our service started out great. But about 5 min in another server came over to tell us that our original server was leaving for the day. We ordered 2 of the lunch combos, a child's chicken tender meal and a chicken salad sandwich plate. It was a late lunch-around 1:15 or so-the restaurant was not crowded. It took forever - at least 25 min-to get our food. The lunch combos came out first - the clam chowder was not as advertised-it was a clear broth. My sandwich was fine. The chicken tenders came out last. The chicken and the fries were undercooked. I gave my son my fries and he ate only 1 of the chicken pieces. I couldn't quite understand why the service was so slow when they were staffed appropriately and there was hardly a lunch crowd at that time. I have an hr for lunch and made it back just in time. I've eaten here quite a bit with my office and never had this service before. As I said in the title, disappointed.
Had dinner on a Friday night with a group of 10 including two small children. Had reservations and the table was ready for us when we arrived. Had a couple of appetizers which were good and everyone was pleased with their dinner. Beer selection was decent and service was good even with a larger group on a busy Friday night.
Not very impressed, I thought the menu would be Osu themed to the max and it wasn't. The menu is ok but not a lot of great choices. Their specialty Bloody Mary isn't really that good or spicy for that matter. I was expecting a fun environment on a Saturday night and it was just very low key.
I've eaten here many times before but this time was disappointing. The server said we'd receive a free appetizer but it arrived after the main course. I told him we were celebrating a birthday but there was no acknowledgement of that. Two of the dinner orders (hamburger and pulled pork) were very good. The third order, a salad, had half of the lettuce turning brown. Server was very average. While I'd return again, we were disappointed this time.
We met as a group after work. The atmosphere is good for that! Our service was a gem--very nice. I was disappointed in my chicken sandwich as it had way more bread than meat, but I'd just try something different next time. I did find the mixed drinks to be a bit pricey.
Have not been to the new Buckeye Hall of Fame Grill until now. Very enjoyable experience. Made reservation for 10, but as our happy hour group quickly grew, the staff was happy to accommodate extra tables & chairs. Great covered/free parking. Food was delicious, nice variety.
We traveled from Long Island to see our daughter and take in the Home Opener. As such we were a group of seven on this trip and was looking for the right spot to begin our pre game party. The Buckeye Hall of Fame turned out to be just the right spot. The Service and food were both excellent and everyone left happy!
