We pride ourselves on providing excellent food with locally sourced ingredients. Whether you take a table in the restaurant, book our private dining room, have a snack at the bar or if you fancy pub food in the back bar, our chef William Pottinger is sure to delight you with our seasonal menus. Due to the availability of fresh produce please be aware that this is an example menu and we can not guarentee it will be on the menu for your visit. Wine is another passion. We believe in working hard to source well priced delicious wine, and are on hand to recommend a bottle that will best complement your meal. Our relationship with Find Wine, an innovative young wine company, ensures a cellar that is both wide ranging and of the ultimate quality. Please have a look at our wine list.     This attractive hotel is well managed and run, some refurbishment is needed though in the lounge bar. Food was very nice, staff are great.

    Had a family meal here during the festive period. The meal was absolutely amazing. My partner had a steak and said it was the best cooked steak he has had in a long time. Everything was very fresh and full of flavour. The staff were absolutely lovely and made our fur babies feel at home. Would highly recommend.

    Absolutely delicious food and very friendly service. Thanks for a lovely evening. The only negative was that the children's meal was very expensive at £12. We didn't realise you were going to charge for each course individually else we wouldn't have ordered 3 courses. Everywhere else we've been has a deal for kids meals.

    As a hotel ticks all my boxes - authentic, genuinely welcoming, smart room with character and a clear "we love our locals and our visitors" ethos. Big plus was was properly dog-friendly not just dog tolerant. Menu covers all the bases. I had venison from the gourmet end of the spectrum which, with mushrooms, an intense reduction, cauliflower & fondant potato was exceptional. All the better for being cooked very pink it was Scotland in autumn on a plate. Had I stayed another night I suspect I'm have been very happy with steaks & burgers too. Concise wine list very fairly priced & selection by the glass works well. Good to see local beers and spirits prominently part of the offer. Would (and will) return.

    The Buccleuch & Queendberry Arms Hotel provided good food with friendly and timely service. The portions were of a reasonable size although it was felt that the portion of venison was smaller than expected. Overall this was good value for money.

    Good choice on Dinner Menu , portions good and enough and well presented, staff super friendly and gave the place a good feeling and nothing a bother for them , and another thing I did like the proper linen napkins nice touch
