Buccan (pronounced boo-cahn) is a restaurant, bar and lounge in the heart of Palm Beach. The concept, conceived by acclaimed Miami Chef Clay Conley, is primarily a high-end bistro, featuring progressive American cuisine, in a casually sophisticated setting. The predominant characteristic of buccan's menu is a changing array of small plates - highlighting the use of superior ingredients and preparation - offering an adventurous and memorable dining experience.

We come to Buccan every time we visit Palm Beach and it gets better every time. The food choices are so variable and Everthing we order is always so good we can’t decide what to order next. Wine choices are plenty and prices very reasonable. And best of all everybody seems to be having a great time. You go in not knowing anyone and before you leave all tables around you are “ one group” comparing dishes and wines!

Disappointed to say the least came hungry left upset because food was ok. Fresh is the only good adjective I can use sorry. Celebrity chef should have higher standards. Definitely won’t be coming back nor will I be recommending to anyone. STAY AWAY!
We have enjoyed this restaurant in the past but this time was a miss! We ordered first the Brussels sprouts and they were extremely over spiced. We usually love Brussels sprouts everywhere we go but these were over the top. Next came the squid ink orrechiette and again, same story, over spiced, over salted. We said we could take it home, cook up another half pound of pasta and mix it together and then it would come out right. Then we waited and waited and waited for our main fish course. It was delicious but the wait was really long!! We did receive a complimentary delicious dessert for our troubles and a then long wait for our check. I guess it was an off night but we think we will pass on this spot from now on. I must say our server was a delight and very efficient but it just didn’t make up for the food and wait time.
Buccan is always a restaurant I am happy to return to… The food is delicious, the service is lovely and attentive. It is lively and usually booked but somehow the noise is quite manageable. My sister had a yogurt chicken special which surprisingly was oversalted. We both have the kale salad to start which was refreshing and scrumptious… Possibly the only edible Kale I've ever had. My Bay scallop entrée was perfect 😊
We arrived at 8:30 for an 8:45 reservation. We were told that our table would be ready soon, they were "just finishing dessert". I got the same answer every 15 minutes as I checked on our table. At 9:30 the receptionist still had no answer on when a table would really be available. We left without eating. Worse. When I looked on open table for an alternate restaurant. Buccan listed a table available at 9:45.
Everything here is perfect. The food is amazing, the service attentive without being overbearing, the wine list superb. Our server was very helpful in guiding us through the menu, and did not try to urge us to order more. We'll go back soon to try more dishes on the imaginative, but not outrageous, menu.
Buccan was highly recommended. We had a nice stroll from the Breakers hotel to the restaurant. Lovely ambiance. My spouse and I shared a nicely done brussel sprout "salad" -- a tad rich and a skooch salty, but pretty tasty. Our ahi appetizer didn't show up, so we canceled it as the entrees were being delivered. My spouse ordered a lovely pasta dish. My snapper was average plus, but not outstanding. Bread accompaniment was ok -- the "crackerish" option being a bit too salty as an offset to the entrees. We'd definitely go back, should we visit Palm Beach again.
I had a party of 6 out for a business dinner and while the food was beyond great, the service was not. Our waiter was quite rude to me at one point, pretentious and seemed annoyed to "deal" with my questions. I'd go again but would definitely not want that waiter.
My daughter and I were staying at the Beakers in West Palm. It is a beautiful hotel with excellent restaurants. However they are very expensive. We decided that take an Uber less than two mikes away to eat and Buccan. Great idea. The service was excellent. The food was unique and delicious. Dishes we would not make at home. Monday is wine down 1/2 price bottles. We had 2 appetizers a main corse a bottle of wine and a dessert for $100.
Despite having a reservation we waited 30 minutes for a table for 2. The steak tartare and the tuna crisps were very good the rest of the food was average (short rib empanadas are over-rated, the sweet corn agnolotti is good but not great like people rave).
