We were received warmly and given the option of waiting at the bar till our table was ready( we were early). The waitress was attentive without being intrusive. We liked that she knew exactly when to check if we needed anything in a very professional manner. She knew the menu and made good recommendations for both food and wine. The pasta was perfectly done and the octopus literally melted in our mouths. Our friends had pizza and sea bass and were equally happy. The tiramisu was delightful. And the gelato was awesome. It was our first time and we would definitely come again

Had a wonderful dining experience on Saturday for a special birthday dinner. Nice menu, excellent food - the highest quality ingredients and nice presentation, great vibe, excellent and attentive service, great wine list. We couldn't have had a better experience. To top it off, the chef sent us home with a fresh pasta and sauce pack as a gift to enjoy the next day! Terrific spot - I will return and highly recommend Buca!

Was there for my friends birthday before heading next door to the Hammam Spa. Staff were excellent and the food, as always, outstanding. The Sous Chef even came out to give my friend, the birthday girl, a take home gift. Love your restaurant.

I first visited this restaurant when it opened a few times for different occasions. I haven’t been back since some changes occurred. I was displeased to smell mould as entered and seated at back....asked to be moved. Servers weren’t overly interested in being attentive. A few nice bites but disappointed with most. Too bad I mentioned this place to friends to treat them and it was nothing like I remembered from the good old days.

The SPAGHETTI AL NERO DI MAIALE was one of the best dishes this city has to offer. The pizza however, is over priced and not the greatest (there are definitely way better in the city), and the dessert was adequate.

Was unfortunately very disappointed in the this restaurant. The service was sub par, our server barely came over to check on us. Also disappointing to see what looked like a manger check on the table next to us every 5 minutes and not even ask how our meal was. He even noticed our empty glasses and didn't come over. For a high end restaurant I should not be filling up my water glass and my wine glass during my meal. The food was extremely salty that you couldn't taste what you were eating. Overall very disappointing for a restaurant that had high expectations in my mind.

Had a lovely dinner for my husband's birthday. Food, service, and wine were excellent. House kindly sent us home with a sample of pasta which we enjoyed the next evening - a very nice touch!

Very disappointed with relatively high price for unacceptable quality of food. For example, for $30 an appetizer of fresh scallop, it only has one scallop raw with some other sauce mixed in. The side vegetable which is $16 extra charge to go along with the fish is very hard to chew and with no taste to it whatsoever. For the total cost of over $160 for two, I received zero value for it.

As always, the food was out of this world. The Bigoli pasta is unlike any other pasta dish in Toronto. The Spaghetti Nero was also super interesting and exploding with flavor (beware, it's got some heat to it). Nodini is a classic simple dish to start with and the beef tartare was also really good...I will say that the lambs brain is a must-try if its your first time! The service was a little slower than I've come to expect at the Buca restaurants which was really the only downside to the meal, I would say. Favourite part of the meal was when the server offered to individually serve my girlfriend and I are respective portions of each of the pasta dishes we ordered. Dividing up food is really just an irritation of mine so I was pleasantly surprised that they did it for us. Overall great meal, just maybe not quite to the level that I have come to expect from them!

The wait staff we had was quite nice, however difficult to understand, and so there was miscommunication about our order. When our meal came, we indicated that it was not what we thought we had ordered- and she apologized, but did not get the meal we had wanted. We could have insisted, but did not want to ruin the mood of the occasion. Would have been nice and professional for the right meal to just come out afterwards, on them. The salad we did order was a disappointment as it just looked like pieces of raddicio cut nicely on a plate. It was quite good, but definitely not a meal, which we thought it could be. We would have appreciated the wait staff to let us know a bit more what to expect with this.

Fabulous food, impeccable service with informed wine advise. We both really enjoyed ourselves, were not rushed despite it being absolutely full (on a Tuesday evening), and found the atmosphere exactly what we were looking for. I was a little expensive for a mid-week date but it is a great indulgence. I will definitely be back.

The management and staff were absolutely second to none. The bar program was small but very carefully selected, gorgeous and very much designed around supporting the menu. The food was out of this world, both complex and simple, and we were guided through the entire experinece by the very deft and attentive Rachel, who very much made our night. This is a very special place, deserving of its reputation.

Our experience at Buca was overall really great. The only thing i would have changed: our waitress brought out a beautiful steak and told us all about how it was aged for 45 days in wagu fat. She had our mouths watering and did a great job selling it. I just wish she told us the price. After ordering it and eating it, it was exceptional, but no one likes being surprised when they get the bill. Maybe it is just a suggestion, but i think the customer should be informed of the price of specials wether they asked or not. Other than that everything was top notch.

We had an early reservation at 6pm. So it was really quiet in the beginning, but it got busier and louder as the evening progressed. Even then, somehow I wasn’t a huge fan of the ambience. It was a bit dark.

The appetizers were delicious!! So was the dessert, which came with 2 candles, since I had mentioned we were both celebrating our birthdays when reserving. But there were very less options for main course outside of a pasta or pizza dish. The steaks were REALLY expensive!! $220 market price for a 32oz steak. The 7oz was $90. We have dined at many upscale restaurants. Nowhere has it been this expensive. No bread served at the table. For these two reasons (and ambience), I wouldn’t recommend the place.

Service and hospitality was amazing!! They sent us home with 2 boxes of freshly made pasta and associated ingredients to make the dish at home. Lovely surprise birthday gifts; really grateful!!

Several outstanding dishes, the Trota cruda was spectacular. Ended on a tagliatelle ragu that was cooked “broken” dente, as opposed to el, so much so it wouldn’t sauce properly. That woulda been the only disappointment for the night until the check came, when we found out the glasses of vin were 30 CAD each, ouch.
