Jennifer was outstanding waitress.
It took 1.5 hours to get our food, and they still forgot our salads. The waiter thought it was a joke that everything so long. It was a terrible experience.
Good Italian food with a quiet atmosphere but perhaps a bit expensive for everyday dining (we had a coupon)
We ate there.
Food was fine and plentiful. Wine selection was limited then there were several that were not stocked or chilled (we ordered a white). Seemed oddly unprepared on a Thursday night. Probably would not recommend given other options in the area.
First time back to this chain in many years and expected better. More than enough food, service was fine, but the food just wasn't as good as I expected. Very much felt like a chain restaurant. Not bad for a large family dinner, but it doesn't compare to more authentic Italian restaurants I frequent.
We were a large party but it took over 1.5 hours to get our food delivered. It was also not all delivered at the same time with thirty five min. between the first delivery of food to the last person receiving their food. Very frustrating and inconsistent. The manager didn't even show up to discuss the problems but server did the best she could without the support.
We had a fairly large table, 10 or so. The restaurant wasn't really busy and they were expecting us so we were sat right away. The waiter did a great job greeting us and starting our drink orders and then taking food orders. Only one real mess up was forgetting one of the side dishes. The food took an extra long time (almost 40 min) to come. The food was on point, tasted and looked great. Server didn't have an issue splitting he checks and everyone was happy. Just took a while to get the food after ordering.
We had a large group for my daughters birthday. I was about 16 folks, all family members. Here was the problem. We did not get the dish that we ordered. The waitress said that she gets them messed up....sorry I can get you something else. Well everyone else was eating so my daughter decided to just have what she brought. We ordered a chicken pasta and ended up with beef and sausage. My parents ordered the shrimp and pasta. It had a total of "SIX" (6) shrimp in the whole bowl. Then half way through supper we had to go and find the tea and water pitchers to fill our own drinks. While my niece was up filling drinks our waitress came by with the table behind ours food (party of 2). She did not even acknowledge that we were getting our own drinks and had to walk around my niece pouring the glasses full.
Lastly, when trying to pay, everyone at our table had a discount coupon. Well, only one ticket was able to use a coupon due to some silly policy. If you are going to issue coupons then you need to honor them. We could have all ordered under the same ticket and then used the coupon...it would have been the same thing since we all had the bucca 20% off offer sent for being enrolled in the club.
Overall I was very disappointed, especially since it was my daughter's 17th birthday and she had been craving the chicken all week and ended up with beef.
If you have a large family and like to share this may be the place for you. It is pricey , but considering if your paying for 2 or 4 people depends on how you break down your totals. My family of 4 with 2 entree and a salad bowl with two soft drinks total of $80.00 . There are coupons that you can use if you sign up for there emails before you go and take the print out. The food taste good I don't think its Authentic Italian sure puts you close enough to it.
Went to celebrate a special occasion. The staff was very attentive, prompt, and fun! The food was delicious! We got the Lasagne and Cesar salad with the mini meatballs appetizer. Very very very very very very tasty. Had a very good experience. We will go back again!
We enjoy the salad , bread ,and family size portions. With a large family it makes it easy to feed everyone and have a good time.
A friend and I decided to try and experience a new place to eat in Augusta. We were looking for a slightly nice restaurant, but nothing too fancy. Instead, the restaurant was literally just a mall shop. The food wasn't very good, the service was mediocre, and the ambiance was alright. For the cost of going there, I would have rather had spent the night making a nice meal and eating in. The restaurant also claimed I did not honor my reservation, and I had to get in contact with Opentable and include a copy of my receipt. Will not return.
Hostess seemed frazzled when we arrived with res. Chicken rigatoni inedibly spicy...told server and manager. Manager said entire dish only had 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes, but had at least 4 times that much. Did not offer to comp. Server left dishes on table which made dessert difficult. Wanted to like this-
We had the lasagna special. The large portion was more than enough for 4. We were well pleased with the service that we received.
Our server John was excellent, even though he manned the bar and waited on us as well, very prompt and checked on us regularly and that was a busy night
Our experience was very enjoyable. We came for our 10th Anniversary and had a great time. We loved looking at all the pictures on the walls and even noticed a picture with our last name! The food came and to our surprise, was such a large portion that we ended up getting a box at the end. The food was delicious. We had the chicken carbonara which is my husbands favorite dish. Emily was our server, and she was very sweet and attentive. We enjoyed everything about our visit and will be returning again.
I went here with my wife for the first time for my birthday had a coupon for 20$ off. The olive oil that they put balsamic vinegar in has no taste (low quality) should add roasted garlic. The bread that comes with nice and fresh and was good. We got the veal parmigiana for two 26$ first it is 3 small pieces of veal and it was not tender at all, don't know if it was poor quality or over cooked or not prepared correctly. we also got the pasta marinara which is pasta noodle with tomato sauce which was not bad; but lacked flavor for the price of 15$ no garlic or herbs in the sauce basil or oregano. I would recommend going to Giuseppe's or Garlic clove or Macaroni grill before coming here maybe the other pasta dishes are better but the prices seem too high to retry. Quality needs great improvement for price to be justified.
Food was delicious. Room was extremely cold. Felt good to get back outside in the heat! We were told the room we were in had a thermostat by itself. Asked the waitress to make it warmer twice. Both times the air stopped for a short time then came back on.
The restaurant was not busy. We were seated at our reservation time. After about 10 minutes, I finally went to the hostess to inform her that we had yet to be greeted by a server. Finally, someone came, a frazzled, surprised-to-be-reassigned, lady greeted us. We ordered drinks and waited again. My mother requested SweetnLow for her tea and waited again, even after asking 3 times to remind her. A couple of gentlemen were seated next to us and encountered the same problem (I was a little miffed when i overheard their waittress treat them to a free appetizer bc of their wait). Our food was not that great. Took a horribly long time to receive. The pasta was dry but the prosciutto chicken was very tasty. I spent $65 and had the quality of mcdonalds. Not happy at all.
We celebrated Mother's day a day early at Bucca. The food was great and the service was fantastic.
I have eaten at this chain many times and this locations food was the same. It is in the mall which messes with ambiance but otherwise good.
This recent experience at your restruant was not our best. The reservation online process was nice, and very convenient. Even though details did not make it to the restruants associates. I had asked for a quiet corner due to a special accassion and we ended up in the middle of the restruants floor. The menu was a little confusing and was not explained to us. We ended up with a piece of chicken and salad that we had to ask for. we have been to your restaurant on a couple of other occasions and had better experiences both times. Not sure, maybe you changed your menu? My husband asked for a quiet table and we eneded up by the kitchen with lots of traffic. I would go there again but not for any kind of special occasion. Chicken parmason with no pasta, is like a sandwich with no bread. We were not coached by the watress who should of new the menu well enough to do the coaching.
The meals are served family style and the waiter did an excellent job of explaining the portion sizes and recommending selections for our table. The pasta with meatballs and red sauce is the best tasting I have every had. The mussels appetizer was tender and delicious. Overall a great experience.
On-line reservations worked like a charm. We were happily seated in a quiet area outside the noise zone of a large party. We knew we would enjoy the Spagetthi and huge meatballs as always but we discovered something new with this visit. The Chicken Saltimbocca will have us coming back for more! A great place to take out of town guests as the décor is so entertaining.
Buca di Beppo is our "go to" venue for our family gatherings. It really is the perfect restaurant for small parties or large banquets. The key is for three to five members in the group to agree on the same entrees.
Great Italian food. Best enjoyed with a group since they serve family style. It was our first visit and we plan on going back.
The food was horrible. I had the driest and hardest noodles ever. Went for Valentines dinner they advertised. There wasn't one!!
I took my wife here for Valentine's because she was wanting Italian and I wanted somewhere that accepted reservations. Even though we arrived a little early they were eager to accommodate and had us seated immediately. The food was good (large portions for sharing), the service was prompt, and the atmosphere was what I would expect an authentic Italian restaurant. This would be a great place for a family for lunch or dinner, is reasonably priced, and we plan on returning.
Love Buca, found in Indy, then tried the one in Orlando before trying Augusta. Each have been a little different, but Augusta's was the most different. We weren't offered a tour of the kitchen and restaurant that we were at the other two. This restaurant was much smaller than the other two. Server could have been a little more aware of who was at our table, such as sitting 5 stacked plates next to a one year old child. Other than those little things the food was as great as ever. I still love Buca and will visit again!!!
