Everything was phenomenal. The food, the service! My party was late- they were very accommodating! Major shout out to the hosts who accommodating our every need as well as our rockstar servers Andrea and Aline.
Valentines Dinner - excellent food and paired wines.
Communal tables take a bit of getting used to.
One of the best restaurants I’ve tried in Toronto. Everything is on point- the service, ambiance, and interior design. Food is great.
Too many carbs
Amazing service and absolutely delicious dishes!! Will be back!
I enjoyed the food at Buca. My husband enjoyed his pasta so much that he ordered another full portion of the same dish. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I celebrated my birthday late, and when leaving was surprised with a take away pasta. My husband cooked it the next day and it was delicious. We both thought that was a nice touch.
The kitchen was very loud. The stools were extremely uncomfortable. We eat out a lot and really feel that the prices are too high. At least add some veggies to the Branzino. Then I might feel like it's worth the price.
Evening on weekdays too many business men and women. Food is good but service was okay. Felt we were kind of forgotten about because of the larger groups but recommendations and timing was on point.
As always, the food, atmosphere and service were excellent! Thanks!
I’ve been coming here for years and always come in for a meal when I’m in town. Highly recommended and always a fresh menu.
I heard many good things about this restaurant but I was a bit disappointed. The service was excellent which is rarely find in the city. And I may go back for another try because fo that.
We ordered a few plates which is the cheese as a starter, sea-bass, pasta and pizza for main, tiramisu as dessert.
The Cheese were great as it is very hard to go wrong on cheese. But for the main, we have waited for so long even the staff realised that and serve us some snack and apologise which is very nice touch. The sea-bass was overcook and also under seasoned. The pasta was ok. But the pizza came so late and there was so issue with the pizza and they need to make a new one for us. So wee decided to cancel it. Thee tiramisu was great since i love sweet. Strongly recommend for this dish if you go there.
The food is outstanding - truly inspired Italian dishes, perfectly cooked and spiced. Service is very good, knowledgeable and attentive with only minor hiccups (we had to remind the waiter to bring our salad before the mains were done). Lovely room on a cold winter night. We'll be back for sure.
Wonderful service. We went with our 5 year old and they offered 2 dishes that would be child-friendly. Fortunately my daughter eats what we eat but the offer shows the top level service available at Buca
Amazing food and service
Buca is just one of the best in Toronto!
The ingredients, attention to detail, and great service!
We had the sea bass, radicchio salad and the Cicoria and finished it off with tiramisu.
Nothing but perfect!
Food was fine, I feel you can get better high-end Italian for a lower cost many places in Toronto. Service was great. Lighting placement does not make sense. Too dim to read and low yellow light creates a foggy fee to the space.
Great place to have pasta. Friendly staffs.
Food is perfect. Got very nice recommendation too.
I'm absolutely in love with this place. Our server offered the best service I've ever had, and the food itself was delectable. The cocktails were some of the best I've had in the city, especially the Odi et Amo. Couldn't recommend this spot enough.
Excellent service and delicious food!
Was unimpressed by the food. Stuffed olives were very salty and the tortellini soup dish was lacking flavour. Ambiance was great. Servers were very knowledgeable, but there were long gaps of time where we were ignored.
Everything was amazing. The food and wine selection are outstanding. And also and more important great service and for a very reasonable price
Everything about our meal was phenomenal!
Every flavour every taste… From appetizer of cured meats pasta to steak Florentine !
Wow so many incredible rich flavours. Amazing service !
Our experience was suburb from the atmosphere, customer service, servers, food and drinks. I can't wait to come back to Canada to visit again.
Overall salty and oily, the Yorkville has better standard when comes to food. I am not a big fan of this location.
Our server refused to answer my question about portion size after he said it was a tasting menu. I gestured with my hands, "will this dish be small like this, or big like this?" He mockingly said he hadn't weighed it. He was rude and acted shocked anytime we asked a question. We only asked 3 and they were standard, like the above. For the money we paid, it was unacceptable.
The food was great - fresh ingredients and great cooking techniques shown. Freshly out of oven almond cookies for customers to take him was a sweet touch. The waiter served us he pretty good knowledge of the wine pairing but seemed a bit impatient. Overall a good dining experience.
Outstanding as always! Thank you!
Exceptional food and customer service!
Absolutely fantastic experience. This restaurant has very mixed reviews depending on the person visiting. I thought it was incredible, going in under the impression that it would be an expensive meal. 2 apps, 1 alcoholic beverage and a shared pizza, with 2 desserts, and we came out just over $100 with a tip! Going to the keg can be more expensive! Of course if you're going to order the most expensive of each category, and have $100-500 bottles of wine it's a different story. But there is definitely an option for everyone at this restaurant no matter how bougie or cost conscious you are!
Everything was great. The wait staff was knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. The food was incredible! It was my wife's birthday and as we were about to leave the Chef came out and asked us how our meal was. He then proceeded to give my wife a take out container with an uncooked meal for 2 that included the recipe and all the ingredients. Definitely worth the visit!
Very Good meals, but small portions for what you pay
Buca King Street continues to be a favorite spot for us in Toronto. The staff is always terrific - warm, welcoming and spot on with recommendations across the board. The charcuterie is always excellent. The Duck Ragu with Venetian spices is always excellent. We are never disappointed at Buca!
Just a perfect evening! The menu is astounding, unique ingredients and pairings.
The decor and ambiance are comforting and warm.
The service...above and beyond. We ordered some dishes to 'get outside our comfort zone' and expand our palates. I would recommend going for the dishes that you normally wouldn't as you will be pleasantly surprised. We ordered one dish that we didn't enjoy (personal preference), nothing to do with the food or preparation and the server kindly removed it from the bill.
All in all - 10/10 - seems perfect for a date or anniversary.
This was our first time to Buca and it was amazing. Our server Daniel was amazing, provided recommendation and information about the whole menu, everything he recommended was amazing. If this is your first time to this restaurant, you should ask for Daniel.
The service is really good and we love the prizza and pasta! Definitely try its pizza with wine. However the appetizers(fried pig ears, fried olives) are salty and hard to chew.
We enjoyed our anniversary dinner very much
The attention was excellent and the food was delicious!
The food is creative and authentic Italian. Not your traditional Italian restaurant. The scialatiegli pasta and pizza were delicious. Love the underground ambiance. Drinks are pricey.
First time back since the renovation and was thrilled to see the place hadn’t lost that sexy look and feel of the exposed and distressed brick and iron.
The food and service was incredible as always... and while I knew what to expect, I loved watching my three guests discover and fall in love with Buca, much like I did all those years ago, bite by bite.
Phenomenal food but mediocre service
Consistently high quality food prepared and served expertly. That has been and happily continues to be my experience at Buca.
Bigoli was cold and not as good as it usually is - server took it off the bill
