Fridays just got a whole lot better. We're now celebrating the end of the workweek with a Build-Your-Own-Margarita Bar. For just $9, customize your marg just the way you like it: Start with Casamigos Blanco tequila and choose frozen or on-the-rocks, then the rest is up to you. Pick from salt rims like lime, smoke and spicy salts, then decide on a mixer—classic lime, grapefruit, coconut, cucumber, spicy strawberry or pineapple. As the bartender mixes away, choose from a variety of garnishes, including herbs, fruit, vegetable spears, blackened shrimp and more. Added bonus: There may just be some salty snacks (think pork rinds, chips and guacamole) and an ice-cold beer waiting for you at the end of the line. To reserve a table, please visit bubcitychicago.com or call 312-610-4200.

My wife and I tried this place for the first time and were very impressed. We made a reservation luckily, otherwise there is no way we were getting a seat. This place was PACKED! from the very moment we got there until the time we left it was shoulder to shoulder with a line out the door. Must be good right?! IT WAS! We only ordered appetizers but they were both amazing!! We shared the buffalo bites and loaded fires and they were both ate in their entirety. I tried a delicious whiskey at the recommendation of a man name Brad who I will get back to shortly. We didn't stay long enough to see the band but we weren't in a very ideal seating location for that either way. We were seated in a very high traffic spot so we were constantly being bumped or talked over by other patrons. That aside we had a wonderful time here and will absolutely return to try more of their delicious food and whiskey. Ok back to Brad, I presume he was a manager of sorts. He was so unbelievably helpful, and welcoming. He more or less acted as our server too, ours was mostly non-existant. He spoke to us in length about the menu and gave me an incredible bourbon recommendation. He touched our table several times throughout our visit and before we could leave he left us with several gift cards so that we would return. He apologized for our seating location and thanked us for coming. This really stood out to us. We did not complain once, even to each other, about a single thing. We were really enjoying ourselves and those things were just background noise to us. So thank you Brad G for your incredible hospitality. We will without a doubt return and I intend to suggest Bub City to all of my friends.

We ordered a full rack of baby back ribs, a pulled pork entree, and sides of Brussels sprouts, spoonbread, and sweet potatoes with marshmallow for two of us plus 2 young kids. We all agreed the food was delicious, every dish, but I feel the value is a bit lacking for 2 reasons. First, the sides were undersized for the prices. I'd say they each serve 1-2 people. Second, a thirty dollar entree (ribs) comes with nothing except a slice of white bread (WHY does every BBQ place insist on this, and call it Texas toast to make it sound interesting) and a miniscule baby portion of cole slaw? That's really not cool, or standard among the many BBQ places we've eaten. You normally get to choose 1 or 2 sides as part of the entree. There is also no kids' menu, so the restaurant is family friendly overall but the pricing is not. Finally, our server was very friendly but there were many moments we would have liked to flag her, or anyone, down but there was literally no employee on the entire floor to wave at. We had a good experience overall but the value and service could be improved.

Didn't love our experience. It was loud, the menu has nothing helpful of any kind. The minimum calories was 2000 for anything - most were more. Hate that.

Terrible wine choices. This is Chicago. There should be more than "white" or "red."

The luncheon menu Pick your meat and three sides, is a great value. The fried pickle appetizer was excellent, as was the brisket sandwich.

We visited to eat, drink and watch the Super Bowl. The food was not bad, but was not great either. For average taste, I'd say a bit overpriced. Drinks were also on the expensive side - though they were good. Service was also average. Overall, nothing really horrible to mention, but nothing great either. The evening was meh - but the bill was definitely more than meh. I would not recommend. In Chicago, there are many more options that would leave you more satisfied.

We enjoy a lot our visit to Bub City. Everyone were very kind and friendly. The only thing I do not like is that tha restrooms were located in the darkest spot of the place and you have to pass through the kitchen.

We went to Bub City for Restaurant Week. We were so happy we made a reservation. The portions were bigger than most restaurants during Restaurant Week. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. (We had the ribs and salmon.) The pie for dessert was not a hit with us though.
