Fridays just got a whole lot better. We're now celebrating the end of the workweek with a Build-Your-Own-Margarita Bar. For just $9, customize your marg just the way you like it: Start with Casamigos Blanco tequila and choose frozen or on-the-rocks, then the rest is up to you. Pick from salt rims like lime, smoke and spicy salts, then decide on a mixer—classic lime, grapefruit, coconut, cucumber, spicy strawberry or pineapple. As the bartender mixes away, choose from a variety of garnishes, including herbs, fruit, vegetable spears, blackened shrimp and more. Added bonus: There may just be some salty snacks (think pork rinds, chips and guacamole) and an ice-cold beer waiting for you at the end of the line. Bub City Ratings and Reviews
I love this place, our server, Lauren, was awesome! She was always smiling, friendly, and attentive even though they had a packed house.
Food was quick and great, we had fried pickles, Mac and cheese and boneless wings.
Recommend if you want a fun night out with friends.
Bub City is a casual, lively restaurant/bar--actually two bars.
The taquitos were delicious, but the advertised fall-off-the-bone ribs were absolutely NOT. The chocolate peanut butter pie was delicious tho.
We missed the live band that were setting up early to play later.
I would go back again to get the delicious-looking nachos and a cocktail from their whiskey bar
We were in town for a day of shopping and was looking forward to sitting down and relaxing with my family. They put us in the corner right under the speaker and the volume was so loud we couldn’t even converse. When I said something to the waitress she just laughed. I ordered the fall off the bone ribs, as stated on the menu and recommended by the waitress, however, they were anything but fall off the bone. The rest of my family enjoyed their sandwiches.
I was promised local barbecue favorite with a country atmosphere. What I got was the loudest, most bs tourist trap I’ve ever seen. The food was just fine, the service was few and far between, the food and drinks were very overpriced, and to top it all off we had to listen to too loud “bro country” the whole time. We would have left if it wasn’t 25 degrees out and we hadn’t walked a mile to get there.
Looks like they’re making money hand over fist, but save yourself the experience and go somewhere else. Take an Uber out of downtown. The money you save will more than make up for it, and you’ll have a much better time.
We were quickly seated when we arrived. Obviously a BBQ restaurant but only had one non meat option which was salmon. They also had two salads, besides that everything was full of dairy and meat! They did not have a kids menu which seemed very odd for a place like this. So they split the macaroni and cheese. The sides were amazing!!! Ordered the spoonbread, tots and my son got the brisket beans. Among the table we ordered Grilled salmon, Chicago ribs, spare ribs, hot wings and macaroni and cheese. Everything was very good. Server was very nice but INCREDIBLY slow!! Would return for the sides alone!!
First time dining at BUB City. Food good had ribs and chicken platter meals. Beer taste and many choices for whiskey. Server prompt, friendly. Management very friendly and delivered us a piece of cake new to menu for desert, very tasty! Will definitely return.
We come here all the time for special occasions brisket is great service is awesome - great time all around.
I have to say th baked beans we not so great - watery n a ton of sugar - Tasted
Like canned beans doctored up. I would not order these again as I was a bit disappointed but maybe it was an off night- oh well everything else was exceptional
I was very impressed with my recent trip to Bub City. My sister and I were meeting for lunch as we both work in the loop and were craving burgers. I absolutely love their BBQ cheeseburger as the patties are not too thick (hockey puck patties are a huge hangup of mine) and the bun is on point. I also forgot they serve waffle fries - bonus! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and at the end of the meal, she even surprised us with adorable FREE cupcakes. They were frosted in pink icing and made to look like a pig's snout! As I have a tree nut allergy, I asked about the cupcakes and the manager personally came over and assured me with absolute certainty there were no nuts. Talk about great service!! Great food and great service - a rare combination nowadays!
I brought some out of town family and friends here on a Saturday afternoon. Even though we arrived about an hour prior to our reservation, the staff was quick to seat us, which was appreciated.
I enjoyed the food, and I love the whiskey selection. I would eat here again.
We had a large group and everyone enjoyed their brunch. The service was very prompt and the Bloody Mary bar was awesome! You really don’t need to order off the menu if you get a Bloody Mary. You can fill your glass with enough for a breakfast/lunch. Don’t forget to grab the mini miller beer that is on the Bloody Mary bar!
This was my 2nd visit, the first time we only indulged in appetizers. This evening we had the BBQ baby back ribs, and they were simply outstanding!
Our server was exceptional, even though she was busy with many tables, we felt very well attended to. The food came out fast and hot, and it was all very very good.
My only negative comment, is that for me, it was a bit loud, and I felt I had to shout to my wife and son across the table. But that is the only negative thing about this place. If you're into a more loud vibe, then this place is for you.
Will definitely be back, the food was just amazing.
Good atmosphere in the Centre of Chicago. Quick and efficient service. Burgers were excellent, trio was good but pricy and the ribs were ok. Interior is clean and trendy. Booked on line and the table was ready when we arrived. Overall great place for a burger with friends.
It was very loud. There was live music in a small space which I didn't expect. Conversation was difficult. I asked for a stand or an upside down high chair to put my baby in car seat. The waitress said they don't have them and just to put the baby (in car seat) on a regular chair. Restaurants are always able to give us something to put the car seat on, so I was surprised.
I was disappointed in my experience, when I arrived and was seated the hostess did not tell me that they were no longer serving dinner. It took the waiter a while to come to our table to take our drink orders, and he did not tell us either that they were no longer serving dinner. We did not know until our drinks came. We tried ordering food from the server and then he told us only then that we couldn't order food, it was a little disappointing because we came there for the meal.
