Our group had Thai Fresh Rolls, Pik King Pork, Panang Chicken, Pad Thai, and another dish I can't remember. All of us were completely satisfied with our food, both taste and presentation. The ambiance was good, if just a little noisy. This place is somewhat more expensive than the typical Thai restaurant around town. On the restaurant menu the Pik King Pork is $2 more than shown in the online menu. There may be other discrepancies.
The food was not worth the price. Nothing was served hot (it was all room temperature -- which means the food was sitting) and it seemed to not be freshly-prepared. Also, they charge for everything (like double for for adding pineapple and cashews instead of veggies to the veggie fried rice). WOn't be going back.
I wanted to try the sushi but decided not to once I noticed the overall OSHA rating of 80. We should have left and gone elsewhere like we initially thought about doing.
Food was amazing! The service was extremely slow
Neither dish we had today which were both standards for us at Bua..........Pad Thai, and spicy garlic shrimp........., we're good. Unfortunately the flavors weren't there and neither was the heat we wanted despite ordering '4-pepper' hot. Although we'll be back we will be at Ma~Li more often as Bua has slipped for us
Bua never disappoints - great Thai food, pleasant ambiance, fast, friendly and efficient service. Perfect for a casual date.
We love Bua, but we have one complaint. We all got our dinner but one person. Two of us had sushi, so we waited until she got hers. But by then, the other three (who had hot food) were practically finished. This was not the first time this has happened here. It isn't right to give an entire table food and then leave one person eating while the others are practically finished. I will say that after we complained, the one meal was comped. But it should not have happened in the first place. We will continue to go there and recommend it, but this is something the restaurant needs to work on big time.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food and appreciated the service. We'll be back!
I love the food here. The service is always outstanding. Kaw ( maybe misspelled) was our waitress and she offered suggestions and is one of the friendliest people we’ve met in a long time. Service is always good! Great wine selection. I would recommend Bua to anyone.
Outstanding... Great fresh food!
Made reservations for this place on Valentine’s Day got there on time and it was a whole 2 hours before we even got our food!
We went on Valentine’s Day. Service was “okay”. Took awhile for server to get to us. Appetizer came after the meal came. Food was tepid. Server seemed rattled even tho the place was not crowded. We went because of great reviews. Will likely give it another try; but not sure. Don’t go on a holiday.
Bua continues to be a nice choice for a business lunch, we had some sushi as well as another dish we enjoyed. would really enjoy it if they would join Fooda so they're great food could be enjoyed by all of us at the office
In addition we tried the spring rolls which were tasty
I really like the food and the service. Very friendly and food is fresh and well priced. Would definitely go back again!
My wife had Pad Thai and I had Spicy Garlic with Beef and Pork. The food was excellent and the ambiance was just right. I'd go back. I thought the only thing missing was a fusion dish. With both Thai and sushi offerings, I would have thought that a creative chef could have brought together the two cuisines.
Need more than 4 shrimp in the Panang if you're charging $18:00 . Everything else all very good.
One of my favorite places in Atlanta. The food is amazing!!! Sushi is wonderful too!
Good food and good service
Sushi did not look or smell fresh. Very expensive for what you get. Beautiful and clean place to eat.
First time there. Food was awesome, value was excellent. I will be back!
They seemed to have changed their sushi selections so that is nice to have new options. We had four different rolls and they were really good. The fresh rolls (basil and pork) are always a great pic, as is the calamari. Definitely recommend them. I won’t give them a high rating because they charge $$ for Thai food, which is worth it for the taste, but they just don’t provide the level of service commensurate with the price. Our server worked hard, but there wasn’t enough waitstaff to work the place. We had dirty dishes sitting at our table for the majority of the time, no plates brought out when the sushi was brought out, and no wine or water glasses being refilled. I wouldn’t mind, but since we were a party of 6 (and parties of 5 or more are automatically charged a service fee) we paid gratuity despite the lackluster service. Again, our waitress did what she could but there should have been busboys or other waitstaff to help.
Authentic food and great location. Perfect for catching up with friends and sharing bites of really good food. Recommended for groups and dates alike - the food will be something people come to get over!
Food was excellent, beautifully prsented. Service was great. We sat outside which was very nice, got to enjoy town Brookhaven. We had a great time
Service was a bit slow despite being fully staffed. Our waitress "A" was a little rude and talked back to my pregnant sister in law (NEVER argue with a pregnant lady!). Our waters came out a little delayed and no lemons/limes that she requested. When she asked again "can i have some lemon for my water" the waitress said "you have drinks here" basically saying we already have drinks - true but my sister really needed that lemon lol. Also, when my dad asked for his beer extra cold - she should have responded and said "i'll see what i can do, i'll try my best" instead she said "I can't control that, its the bar" something along those lines. Overall not the best service and kind of dampered our meal. On top of that they added 20% tip- no sir! Is that even legal in GA? We had a party of 5 and there was no sign anywhere. Normally we tip over that anyways but not when we hated the service.
Aside from the bad service, the food was good.
Love the outdoor seating at Bua. The service is attentive but not overly so.
Service was INCREDIBLY slow. Food was amazing.
We enjoy Bua for its authentic Thai dishes and its ambiance. We had family visiting from out of town so we wanted to give her a special experience. From the appetizers to our entrees, everything was excellent. The whole fish entree (I forget its name but it is the entire fish with the meat pulled away) and the gingerine beef are outstanding. Of course, they also have an expansive sushi menu. Service was excellent as well.
Service was incredibly slow. We waited for over an hour for our food after waiting for a 1/2 hour to order.
Still really like bua, it does very and sometimes the dishes are not quite the same flavors or execution but overall it's a go to place for everything from casual dining to a business lunch. Really would love to see them in Fooda and hope one day they'll take a look at how that could help their reach to good solid customers
The service at this restaurant was absolutely awful! I would never go back there again. The food wasn't bad, but it was nothing special either. Not enough to keep me coming back. On a more positive note, there green tea was good.
Food was disappointing...it lacked character and flavor. However, our server was excellent and the restaurant ambience is Cali-cool.
I had their Green curry (emerald thai on the menu) and it tasted amazing! Would definitely order it again if I get the chance.
We celebrated our daughter's 12th birthday. Food was fantastic! Portion size could've been bigger specially for the Penang chicken :-) we will be back for sure!
I love this place,it was our first time there.!!! Will be back really soon, craving for more lamb =)
Overall, good food and reasonably priced. Noise is relatively loud and wish management could be more forthcoming the source/s of their food, particularly their main entrees.
Please not if u hav a large party they will not seat u until half of the party has arrived. I called to make a reservation & then the day of my reservation I personally called to confirm. I was not notified of this on either time I called about this policy. Other than that I do recommend this restaurant & I hav been several times the food & cocktails r amazing!
Very high quality sushi; thai food also hit the mark. A bit pricy for lunch. Will return.
We visited BUA for our anniversary and were happy with the service but were highly disappointed in the flavorless food and portion sizes. This we did not expect of Thai food. There was nothing authentic about this place, I've had better from my local hole in the wall Thai restaurant. We ordered Sushi which tasted fresh but I've still had better; I order the combination fried rice and my husband had the Seafood Noodles which had more noodles than actual seafood. Our drinks were very small for $10 per drink. We spent a total of $83 for two people and with in 2 hours we were at Chili's! We visited because of the other reviews but were highly disappointed with our meals. We drove over 30 miles to get to this place and won't be returning.
The food was decent, but the service left a lot to be desired. We spent a lot of time waiting for someone to seat us. After waiting for a little bit, we seated ourselves at the bar. The bartender was nice, and she tried to make sure that we got everything in a reasonable amount of time. But, she was also serving other tables and seating other people, so she seem to have a lot more work to do then I'm a bartender. The food was good however, so that made up for the beginning wait, but I wouldn't go for a quick bite to eat.
Very enjoyable food , well prepared and nice to look at. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Great food and good atmosphere. I will definitely return. Pricing is also good.
