B.S. might be the casual brother to Broken Spanish, but it is every bit as fantastic.
Had a great time with family, food was delicious second time there.
the best guacamole ever ! The tres leches cake was just so so
Tacos were decent
Great space to complement the flavorful dishes.
Great dinner with out of town guests that wanted Tacos. Happy we chose to bring them to BS Taqueria!!!!
Great experience. My date and I had dinner at the bar. Our bartender made our date such an amazing experience.
I was in town on business and wanted a good local spot to dine solo. B S Taqueria served this up with delicious ceviche and tacos. My only complaint was the overly heavy garlic that haunted this garlic-lover all night.
Mole fries were amazing. Tacos all had great flavor and were delicious. Churros hit the spot to end the meal. I could easily come back here over and over again.
Our favorite dishes were the Corn and Churros. This place is a tight squeeze, but the makeshift patio in the back was charming. Our server was good at providing us recommendations and checking up on us. However, our food orders didn’t come out on a timely manner. We had to remind our server that we’re still waiting on this or that...but she was very responsive and was able to address those issues promptly. Other than that our experience was good.
Great ambiance! The blue masa used for the tacos was very thick, too thick. It really distracted from the flavor of the taco fillings. The guacamole was amazing & the street corn is a must order! Overall a solid 4 out of 5.
As the sister to Broken Spanish, expectations were high going in. Loved the serving style of tacos coming out family style. This was my first time visiting LA so hispanic food was high on my list and B.S. Taqueria didn't disappoint.
Food was delicious! We had dinner there recently. I had the Squash Enchiladas (fantastic!) and my friend had two tacos. The margaritas were very good -- classic and well balanced. We shared the churros for dessert (big enough for 2-4 depending on your portion) and they were melt-in-your-mouth delicious, served with a little pot of chocolate. It's a bit noisy and not fancy, but fun. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely go again.
Delicious tacos, elote, and especially the mole fries. Absolutely delicious, everything is made with lots of thought.
really great stuff here for you to eat and enjoy if you like tacos
One of the worst restaurants i have ever eaten at. The food was terrible. Tried a salad and that was really bad. I am not sure why this restaurants gets 4 stars. I will never ever go back. It is apparent that the people who have rated this restaurant so high does not require much from a restaurant.
Great beer list and appetizers. Had the guacamole to die for with chips. It is a busy place, so you have to make sure you get the waiter’s attention when you are ordering additional beverages. The food was fresh and tasty. Our out-of -state friend was particularly impressed with the menu and choices and he is not new to travel in this area. My husband had the carnitas and fish tacos. My friend had the chorizo burger, and I had the ceviche. We shared the grilled corn and the beans and rice. Even the sides were really good. Going back to eat more...
Great food, great service!
They didn’t honor my reservation, stating that the restaurant closed at 10:50, while Open Table allowed me to do an 11pm reservation.
Tacos are outstanding, just great fresh flavors. Guacamole and chips also solid.
Rice and Beans very different but good.
The food is outstanding. Easy, casual. I highly recommend. I am a pickey eater and the chef accommodated my request.
Had friends in from out of country. They were looking for something very LA, and I couldn’t think of anything more LA than B.S. Taqueria. They have the best tacos, the best drinks, and THE BEST CHURROS, hands down.
Horrible service, very hot temperature I was sweating
Happy hour is a good deal. Trout was excellent. Cauliflower too spicy, corn nothing special.
Everything was fantastic, though the chorizo tacos were the stars of the show!
Food was great, but expect to feel the heat!
These were some of the best tacos our group has ever had! We got every single one on the menu! There is some kick in just about everything so be careful if you are not into spicy food. We cannot wait to come back and eat more tacos and guacamole! We also loved their mole fries and bean dip.
Delicious but SPICY - be forewarned. Almost everything on the menu has some degree of spice, so if you don't like spicy food, don't go (this is the only reason why I don't give 5 stars for the food). Food was organic and creative. Maybe if you ask they can lessen the level of "hot"...
Good fish and shrimp tacos, but Carne asada arrived cold. Amazing churros!
This place is the best. Seriously. Even if it were just for this reason: they use heirloom corn for their tortillas. Don't know what that means? Go find out. It makes a huge difference. Trust me.
I was in LA to see Phila Eagles play the LA Rams. Went to the restaurant because conveniently located near my hotel and the prices were very decent for the food we got. Arrived in time for Happy Hour and shared a picher of Margaritas with my son. They were very good and fairly priced at $24. The tacos were also good but all you got was one small taco (just $2) so you're going to need to eat quite a few depending on how hungry you are. Also had a Chorizo Cheeseburger and it was very tasty but a bit greasy (for my taste) but very faitly priced at $8 on the Happy hour menu. Overall a very good value for the price.
Love this place, but very upset they took the clam & lardon tacos off the menu. They were amazing. Please bring them back. Otherwise, the food is exceptional.
Really wanted to love this place but everything was SO SPICY. Let me preface that I LOVE spicy food and have a high tolerance for heat. Everything, even the beans and rice was way way too hot. And the flavors uniform. There could have been such yummy food but my mom didn't go numb. Everyone at our table had the same reaction and we left with numb tongues. Maybe the line cook was a little heavy handed with the cayenne the other night. Will be back to see if its a fluke.
The food was great. Will go back when I am in the area again!
Best chorizo and papas tacos EVER!!! The churros were soft and freshly made! Decadent!!!
Third visit to BS Taqueria, and I absolutely love it! I was able to book a same day reservation thru open table. I would highly recommend this LA gem!
Great food! Really quick service and very friendly.
Food not good, overpriced. Menu items on OpenTable were not on restaurant menu anymore. Asada plate meat was so tough and hard to chew. Regrettable visit.
The food was good but meal was not paced well. Apps, entrees and sides all came at the same time or in the wrong order so the table was crowded with a million plates. It felt like they were rushing us out.
My new favorite restaurant for the food. Mexican food lovers paradise. Pricey but worth it. Needs more servers.
Had a very nice time here. Arrived in time for the Happy Hour pitchers of margaritas and dove right in to Guacamole, Bean Dip and Ceviche Tostada, all of which were excellent.
Split the Chorizo Cheeseburger (thumbs up) and the Carne Asada (thumbs down, bland at best) main plates. Our colleagues split the trout and said it was excellent. For dessert, the Churros were OK, but the Tres Leches was GREAT.
Would have gotten 5 stars except for the Carne Asada and the "too loud" atmosphere. We were a party of 7 and I could only converse with the people next to and across from me. So we spent the dinner divided into parties of 4 and 3 for conversation. We were in the back room, so perhaps the front room would have been better for conversation.
Again, would definitely recommend for some good tapas and drinks, but if you are look to have a nice conversation with your party, eat quick and find a quieter spot.
I've been hearing about BS Taqueria for some time and tried it before a game this week. It was okay but nothing special. The tacos are good and actually quite similar to those available their stand at Staples Center. Guacamole and roasted corn are also very good while beans and rice and salad were okay. For a quick bite it's fine but not a place to linger.
