My favorite place!
Brunello Trattoria is an excellent neighborhood restaurant with great food and service.
Very busy place. Excellent food. Service was a little bit slow but that didn't really detract from the evening. Reasonable corkage fee.
This a great neighborhood Italian place. We used to come here all of the time. It was great to come back.
A casual, friendly restaurant on the east end of Culver City, away from the downtown crowds. Specials each day, take out-menu, street parking, and a place you will want to frequent for lunch or dinner.
This is a great neighborhood restaurant. The bread is the best in the city! The food is excellent--I believe that the pasta is made fresh there. I have had different daily risotto specials and they are all fantastic. The wine list is quite satisfactory. The service is friendly and wonderful. They gave me a free tiramisu on my birthday and it was substantial and great tasting.
Delicious food, friendly service.....
Food was ok. Service was good.
I’m always excited to try new restaurants especially when they’re held in such high regard. The food and ambience were a bit of a let down seeing as they lacked flavor and warmth. It’s not the restaurant’s fault when patrons or staff second-guess and/or stare at patrons, but this behavior only happens when an environment that overlooks or condones that behavior is created and maintained. As a foodie, journalist and lifelong resident of LA, I consider it my duty to leave truthful reviews so that people who are considering spending their money at an establishment can get a good idea of what it would be like to dine there. I would say that the food was edible and the overall experience was about the same.
This is my go to spot for yummy authentic southern Italian food in a lovely and comfy setting. My favorite dish is the rigatoni with chunks of lobster in a red sauce with a splash of cream. Their small round bread loaves are warm and fresh and they have a great dessert menu. My only complaint is that street parking can be challenging - wish they had valet on the weekends.
I love this intimate Trattoria run by the wonderful Chef Bruno. I feel like I have been welcomed into the family and the food is perfecto!
Brunello never disappoints. We've been going there for several years and the quality of the food and service has always been wonderful. The staff turnover is minimal as we're told that the staff is treated like family and stays forever.
Best! Love the food and service! Mikey is greatest waitress!
My kids ordered chicken parm, I'm pretty sure you can get a better chicken parm at Denny's. My wife's dish, salmon pasta w/asparagus was extremely under seasoned, I think they forgot to salt the pasta water. I ordered the veal special, it was kinda tuff, the side of spaghetti was also something that would taste better at a Denny's type of restaurant. Thank god for good bread!
Great neighborhood restaurant that's reasonable, well-prepared dishes, varied menu, bread you can't stop eating, and one you want to return to.
Delicious homemade pasta. Very fresh ingredients. Great salads and bread. Nice wine list. I had the pasta with salmon. Super delicious and sauce nice and creamy and not too rich. Had a little “kick!” Husband had the special-swordfish in pasta. Loved it.
Finally a great Italian restaurant in Culver City. Great, creative menu, delicious food, wonderful service. We will be back.
This is our go to place! My whole family loves this whole family’s establishment. Never gets old!
As usual, really good service and food.
Great mellow location for a quiet lunch. The food was wonderful!
Great find. Lived in MDR until 2016 and never heard of this place. Friend that lives by Culver City wanted to go. Great service and food was very good!
I didn't know I could love pasta so much. Went here for dineLA and their food was so tasty! I ordered the Estate Salad to start, and the Shrimp artichoke lemon fettuccine for my main course. The dessert, a pick of any of the items on their dessert menu was a perfect ending. My favorite was the bottle of Sangiovese that my dinner companion and I shared while enjoying our meal. I hope to come back!
The espresso gelato we had for dessert sounded simple, but contained a delicious surprise. I won’t blow it - just order it. It’s that good!
A great neighborhood restaurant with excellent food. Service was just fair. Half the party had their food on time and the others received their food when the first half had already finished. Made the dining experience less than desirable.
Best thing about this place was honestly the complimentary bread, which is moist and piping hot. Everything we ordered was pretty mediocre and lacked real depth of flavor.
Brunello Trattoria is a neighborhood favorite of ours. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. They have the BEST bread in the city! Their wine list provides an excellent variety of wines for all price points. The menu is varied and the food is wonderful. Eating at Brunello is what dining should be.
Able to take advantage of Dine-in LA. Great options and good flavors. Will return again to explore the menu.
This place was a bit out of the way for us, but the DineLA menu looked really interesting, and we always like to try new Italian places. We're very glad we did, as this place was quite a surprise. Bronwynn was our server, and she was very nice, helpful and attentive. The place filled up quite a lot while we were there, and the noise level did get rather loud, and the place got somewhat warm in the summer air, but otherwise it was a nice place to enjoy a weekday lunch (clearly favored by a lot of the business folk in the neighborhood, which is a good recommendation for it by itself). The bruschetta was very, very good, and the eggplant pizza was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The desserts were not satisfactory - the cookies and cream gelato was so frozen we couldn't get pieces off of it, and whatever they call a profiterole is not what the rest of the world calls a profiterole - but the appetizers, entree and the wine list were all fantastic, and the lunch as a whole was very, very good. It was amazing how much food we got for the price, and it looks like the regular menu is a pretty good deal also. Whenever we're in the area again, we'll definitely be stopping by for that wonderful, wonderful pizza. A really wonderful time.
Delicious food and friendly, good service. Too bad the restaurant has no parking. Street parking is hard to find especially on street cleaning days.
You never go wrong visiting Brunello Trattoria. From the time you enter the front door you are family.
WE sat in the back room so it was quiet back there but the front didn't seem too bad either. Excellent food, service, wine -- no complaints!
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the service, and the ambiance. Been looking for a really good neighborhood Italian, and I think we've found it.
It took a while to get seated despite the reservation. Also getting orders took a while. Very loud restaurant.
I don't usually give negative reviews. I just don't return to a restaurant that I've had a bad experience with. However this I couldn't pass up.
All my party was seated at 6:20 pm. Our order was taken shortly thereafter. At 7:20 pm a member flagged down the waiter and asked for the main course. We had to leave for an event at 8:00 pm and we wanted to enjoy our meal and dessert as well. At 7:30 pm I went over to the manager and asked where our main course was. He said you're at table 71 and left me standing there as he went into the kitchen and made some of the dishes himself. 7:40 pm the entrees arrived and 2 out of the 5 were over or under cooked. Then the waiter gave us some other table's receipt and credit card. When I asked for the dessert to go, they were tossed on the table with the check without any interaction or apology.
This staff has no idea how to run a restaurant. Food was average at best and the operation is flawed. Stay clear!
Additional special menu for Dine LA was very nice, as was the three-course dinner for $29.
Really good food. If you are craving Italian food, forget the chain restaurants (Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, etc). This place is so good!
We love the food and the service was excellent.
The food was excellent. The tomato sauce like my grandmother’s. The server (the owner’s daughter) was extremely polite and helpful. The meal was served in a timely fashion. This is a family run restaurant , husband and wife are the cooks. I highly recommend going there.
