Clams, garlic, olive oil and hot pepper.
Mild tomato sauce.
Consistently good food, welcoming atmosphere, wonderful staff. Will do what they can to fulfill special requests regarding food.
Server sat us delivered water then forgot about us. Took another 20 mins or so to get bread (only after our orders were takeN and asking for it). Soup came and I asked for parm cheese. Waiter did not return to table until I was half finished with it (didn’t want it to get cold) then brought it as I reminded him. 2 of 4 meals were delivered. Then 5 mins later the 3rd meal then another 5 mins before the 4th meal (there were 4 of us). As a result of waiting until all meals were delivered, the First two were lukewarm once we began eating. My husband and I both had chicken which was tough (overcooked). 3rd guest said shrimp in his dish were small and not so tasty. We’ve been several times before and thoroughly enjoyed our meals so this was a disappointment.
I’m in Love with Brunello. Husband and Wife team from Italy. The Chef is The Owner and does all the Cooking. Great Homemade Italian food and wine. I feel at home here. ❤️❤️❤️
DineLA goodness! Yum’
Good food and service. Busy but friendly.
The glowing reviews for Brunello Trattorie encouraged me to book at table. The food was good, but the server was really mediocre - unfortunately, wait staff can make or break an experience. The people serving bread and refilling water were great. it was just the waitress who lacked any kind of warmth. Signs of bad service: never asking if it was our first time at the restaurant; not suggesting some great starters or best dishes; not asking if others wanted coffee when one person ordered it; and literally picking up our settled credit card receipt off the table, before we left, and then looking at the check - perhaps assessing the tip - as she walked away. The tip, by the way, would make it appear that we had a good experience. Instead, it was really disappointing. Would we try again? Likely not, with all of the other options in Los Angeles.
DineLA dinner. Service, ambience, and food were excellent. Tremendous value. Will visit again
I have been going there and recommend to anyone . they are the best Italian restaurant i have been to in all of LA
Excellent neighborhood Italian. I've been going periodically for almost 10 years and the food is consistently good.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in LA -- classic trattoria, simple but with tablecloths and prompt, excellent service. The food is simple, but very very good -- wonderful calzones and entrees which come with terrific vegetables/side dishes. It's also in a less crowded part of Culver City, so parking is generally easy to find.
As I arrived early to prepare for our party I was immediately greeted with an aroma of homemade Italian food! And wonderful smiling Hostess Valerie. She knew exactly who I was as she had called to verify our reservation and to make sure my special request was going to be fulfilled. The place was buzzing with helpful friendly staff!
We made a reservation for 14 people for my Dad's 89th Birthday we were very pleased!! We had the pleasure of a private dining room. It was just perfect the right size beautiful old fashion Italy feel.
As our party started arriving our server was on point, I ordered appetizers for all to share they came on time. All the appetizers were amazing! Well-seasoned, marinated nice size portions Bruschetta al Pomodoro Homemade bread was fresh, Portobello e Pepperoni Baked Portobello mushrooms with roasted bell peppers and fresh burrata cheese, Antipasto Della Casa an assortment of marinated vegetables Their fresh bake bread is amazing! Our Entrees did not disappoint! Because it is LA Restaurant Week, we had the please of a Prix Fixe Menu that included appetizer entrée and dessert. The Chicken Marsala cooked just right not to much wine had to be the best I’ve ever had. Others had Chicken Piccata nice lemony caper delight, some had Spaghetti, Fish or Mussel entrees all were delicious!! This is a wonderful gem in our neighborhood! I will return again and again! Authentic Italian fare! I met Bruno (Owner) as I was hosting this party, I complimented him on his staff, food, ambiance what a great restaurant I highly recommend!
Wonderful experience, fantastic service and we reserved a specific table a head of time which was saved for us, it was a perfect evening
Great place for a business meeting
Nice discovery - loved it
We love this restaurant!
We enjoyed eating here when it was just my husband and myself, but because of the noise level, didn’t enjoy it as much on our latest visit with a party of 6. Service was excellent and menu extensive with many specials. The salad and pasta dishes we ordered were good and nicely presented, but somewhat lacking in flavor. We will definitely go back again just the two of us and hope that what we will have a better experience.
Every time we come from Massachusetts we take our family to Brunellos. It's a wonderful place to gather the ambience is very comfortable and we are always warmly greeted. We look forward to many more visits.
EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT! I had Theatre tix and only an hour to eat and make BUT I love this place so much I had to make it work! They don't open until 5pm so I called ahead around 4:30 and gave them my order so it would be ready soon after I arrived at 5! They were SO accommodating! And if course my fettuccini bolognese did NOT DISAPPOINT!! It was INCREDIBLE!
My favorite place!
Brunello Trattoria is an excellent neighborhood restaurant with great food and service.
Very busy place. Excellent food. Service was a little bit slow but that didn't really detract from the evening. Reasonable corkage fee.
This a great neighborhood Italian place. We used to come here all of the time. It was great to come back.
A casual, friendly restaurant on the east end of Culver City, away from the downtown crowds. Specials each day, take out-menu, street parking, and a place you will want to frequent for lunch or dinner.
This is a great neighborhood restaurant. The bread is the best in the city! The food is excellent--I believe that the pasta is made fresh there. I have had different daily risotto specials and they are all fantastic. The wine list is quite satisfactory. The service is friendly and wonderful. They gave me a free tiramisu on my birthday and it was substantial and great tasting.
Delicious food, friendly service.....
Food was ok. Service was good.
I’m always excited to try new restaurants especially when they’re held in such high regard. The food and ambience were a bit of a let down seeing as they lacked flavor and warmth. It’s not the restaurant’s fault when patrons or staff second-guess and/or stare at patrons, but this behavior only happens when an environment that overlooks or condones that behavior is created and maintained. As a foodie, journalist and lifelong resident of LA, I consider it my duty to leave truthful reviews so that people who are considering spending their money at an establishment can get a good idea of what it would be like to dine there. I would say that the food was edible and the overall experience was about the same.
This is my go to spot for yummy authentic southern Italian food in a lovely and comfy setting. My favorite dish is the rigatoni with chunks of lobster in a red sauce with a splash of cream. Their small round bread loaves are warm and fresh and they have a great dessert menu. My only complaint is that street parking can be challenging - wish they had valet on the weekends.
I love this intimate Trattoria run by the wonderful Chef Bruno. I feel like I have been welcomed into the family and the food is perfecto!
Brunello never disappoints. We've been going there for several years and the quality of the food and service has always been wonderful. The staff turnover is minimal as we're told that the staff is treated like family and stays forever.
