Bru Grill and Market Ratings and Reviews
Maya- our hostess was simply exceptional- she went out of her way to clean a table for us bc their waiting staff was really busy and we had been waiting a while. Our waiter Ryan (at the bar) was funny, friendly and willing to get us extra things we asked. Bru is blessed to have good staffing!
We only tried the Happy Hour appetizers, but found them fairly tasty. We appreciated the reserved hightop table, large enough for our group. Comfy bar stools with backs.
I enjoy the atmosphere here, quiet enough to hold a conversation, but noisey enough to not be overheard.
We went to the Bru Grille to try their beer as we are home brewers. We were not disappointed. The beer selection (as well as the beer) was really good. We were pleasantly surprised that there is also a decent wine list. Next time, we are going to try the wine. The service was exceptional, and the food was tasty.
As always, the food and atmosphere at Bru was wonderful! We went there for New Year's Day brunch with our kids and had a great time. The food was delicious and our waiter was kind an responsive. Every time I have eaten at Bru, it has been exceptional. We will definitely be returning!
Always great menu and served hot and delicious. Just a bit loud, could use taller booths or sound diffussers in some format. Great local restaurant for guests visiting and sometimes everyday grub. Probably could have been seated outside but was not offered. Good feedback only, not complaining great spot.
My wife and I have been here a few times and love it every time! Most recently we went there for Christmas Eve. The food was fabulous! I had the Prime Rib, my wife had Scallops. Both of us were very pleased with the freshness, quality, perfect preparation, presentation and taste! Service was fast, professional, and our server was very knowledgeable about all the beers available at Bru. We would highly recommend Bru Grill to anyone who wants a fantastic meal at a reasonable price!
The food was fantastic, and the location is nice. The service was some of the worst I've ever had in a restaurant. Our orders were wrong, and our server disappeared for nearly 30 minutes. We asked other servers for various items; none of them helped us or went to find our server. For the incredibly high prices charged here, customers should be able to rely on friendly and prompt service. We won't be back.
It wasn't a good night, unfortunately. Just the perfect storm of understaffed wait crew and novice experience level. Manager did a good job of owning accountability for the slow service, wrong food items, etc. It might just have been an off night. The cocktails and dessert were very good.
We were an older group, so we found the atmosphere noisy for conversation. The food was good, but a little uneven. Our host did recognize our ages and offered to seat us in the quietest part of the restaurant. This probably won't be my first choice in the future, but I would recommend it to younger family and friends.
Seating will depend on what you're looking for. The bar area is VERY noisy and the restaurant tables near the bar share the noise. If you sit in the back, off to the left it can be downright quiet. Go at 1 for lunch and you might have the whole place almost to yourself. Food is good, service is usually great, value is good. Will definitely go back and would recommend to friends.
We were a bit disappointed with this visit. We moved and hadn't been for two years. Went out of our way and the food was somewhat lackluster. The mac & cheese side we ordered reminded us more of shells with Velveta, and the French Onion soup did not have Gruyere as advertised. Otherwise, the service was excellent, the fig and arugula flatbread was great as was we hoped. Not sure if we'd be returning or recommending to our friends anymore. Will probably give the benefit of the doubt and try again in a few months.
Although we had an incident at the restaurant, the manager on the premise was very accommodating and made it an enjoyable night.
Food: The Deep Fried meatloaf, Sweet Thai-Chili Chicken, and Diver Scallops were fabulous, however the Ceviche needed more lime and “heat” to enhance the flavor.
Drinks: My husband and a friend loved the Old Fashion cocktails and a couple of other cocktails that they thoroughly enjoyed.
Desserts: O.M.G...the vanilla bread pudding was so yummy. A totally must try if you like this type of dessert.
Service: We had a guy in training (Jason) who appeared quite nervous. He and his trainer waiter were very attentive and personable.
We will certainly be back for another get together with friends and/or to check out their HH menu.
I have been here many times with family and friends and the experience has always been enjoyable and the food is always great and sometimes unusual. This is why I felt very comfortable and confident to take a business associate here and it turned out to the perfect place and was a hit with my guest. When we arrived the the bar was very lively. The host placed us in a perfect location, so we could see the game but we could hear each other. (It was a business dinner after all). I ordered the ribeye, which I always love, but my guest surprised me as he went for the deep fried meatloaf because he never heard of that dish and wanted to try it and he loved it. I had never tried it either so he gave me a small slice and he was right it was delicious. I had never had it as I just did not understand the dish, but now I do so anyone who likes meatloaf, you would love this. My ribeye was delicious as usual and I shared some with him and he loved that also. Our waitress was new and needed some help with some of our questions, but made up for it with her excellent service and big smile. I think she will fit in nicely with the Bru family.
Thank you Bru! Now I know that this is the type of place I can take anyone.
We had to wait 15 minutes for our reserved table, I thought this is not a good sign.
However, once we were seated we had a wonderful meal.
Service was a little stretched, and water glasses were not readily refilled, bar service was slow, but the food was worth the wait.
I would return.
