Making the reservation actually works at this place. They see you pretty much right when you make your reservation. The server was excellent. We never had to wait and he was always very attentive. The appetizer we had was the tuna tartare and it was incredible. My date had the scallops and they were amazing. My porkchop was way over cooked. It was really dry and really flavorless. Other than that I would recommend this place.

If you are reserving a table there is no happy hour prices applicable. I dont understand that logic. Its very unfortunate to know that and people of large groups will definitely try to find another place for this feature alone.

Easter Brunch - I made the Open Table reservation about two days ago and was uncertain of whether to book here because their were still time slots available for such a busy day (considering all other places i wanted to go were fully booked). I decided to book here and left disappointed. Although we were seated right away, they put us in the furthest booth in the back closest to the bathroom and prep area. Not only was it dark, noisy an unappealing, but when I went up to ask the hostess if we could be moved to a better table, she outright said “No!” I mentioned that this was our first time there and there was a booth right next to ours open and asked if we could move there if she couldn’t move us to another part of the restaurant. She said all the tables were spoken for and if she moved us it would cause a “domino” affect throughout the rest of the restaurant. Nobody was waiting at this point at the entrance to be seated and there were open tables and the one open booth next to ours. It took some time for our waiter to come to our dark, little table in the corner, but when he did, we asked him if we could move to the booth next to us and he said he would go ask. Upon returning, he said the hostess did not give him an answer so go ahead and move. There were only 3 of us and although the restaurant was busy, the fact that the hosted replied so quickly and rudely, made me think she really wasn’t happy to be working today. She didn’t even try to accommodate my request. That was rude. The waiter was very good and our meal was average. Nothing special enough to make us want to return unfortunately.

Sat by the hostess and the server never came to greet us. We ended up walking out after over ten minutes of waiting. Was really excited to try this place for our anniversary and was extremely disappointed.

I've eaten at Bru on several occasions now. Food is relatively consistent, though this trip my hot wings were a little on the dry side. Sauce was delicious as always.

My date had the lobster mac n' cheese. He loved it, but I find the sauce to be awfully runny. It was my first time trying the margarita flatbread which was very lackluster. I also had a petite filet for the first time. I would not order steak from here again. It was stringy and not cooked to temperature all the way through. I ordered medium rare and it was rare in the center. I ate around the rawness. Mashed potatoes and brocollini were good though.

While items I ordered this visit were hit or miss, my usual favorites are: the hot wings, the arugula and fit flatbread, the burger and the meatloaf.

Service was great! Cocktails, beer and wine are usually top-notch too.

Service and ambiance were great. Food was good for the price but falls short of great flavors at higher end restaurants in the area. Could stand to use better ingredients and better kitchen staff to bring what is a strong menu to a higher level to better compete in this South OC market.

We had a great time at brunch! 5 of us had bottomless mimosas and 1 chose to have a few beers from their list. We all enjoyed our entrees, except the two in our party who ordered the biscuits and gravy. They said they were below average, with very little flavor. However, the service was great, we all enjoyed ourselves, and will definitely be back!

We were at Bru this weekend for restaurant week. The menu & food did not disappoint! We had filet mignon topped with grilled shrimp & it was excellent. The creme brûlée was awesome. Cool vibe, delicious food and excellent service! We’ll be back soon.

This restaurant had such inviting appetizers, dinner salads and a great wine selection that we never got around to the main course. So, we came back the next night and enjoyed several different Pris Fixe menu's. Everyone went away satisfied with the quality and value. We will definitely visit again when we are in town.

Friends had spoken highly of Bru Grill so I recently took a friend from San Diego there for dinner and we had such a great experience that I then took an out-of-state relative there for dinner. The food and service were both wonderful. On my first visit, the manager was very attentive and friendly. On my second visit, the owner stopped by to introduce himself, chatted with us and continued to enhance our experience throughout the evening. We also noticed he was very active checking orders for accuracy before they were delivered and saw him stop and chat with a number of other patrons. It couldn't have been a nicer experience both times. I will be back soon as we have a girls' happy hour planned after work. Thank you Bru Grill for giving my guests a memorable experience!

Great food, excellent service and overall great experience. So many restaurants are loud these days, and this was a refreshing experience as the noise level was extremely low. Great for being able to conduct business or carry a casual conversation. The pork tacos were the best I have ever had!

A huge let down as always. The only reason I went was for ny daughter who wanted to try the brunch. She said the food was good but it would have even nice if the waiter didn’t forget 1/2 of it. You dude never fail to find a way to suck. McDonalds gets it right more than you do. Think about that.

It never fails for a delightful and tasty lunch! The menu is always interesting. You can find great salads and add a protein which is what I did. I ordered the Beet Salad with Salmon. It was amazing! My guests ordered salads as well and they each looked fresh and individually made with care. I highly recommend this place as my clients and friends love it too!

This was our first visit and we loved every minute of our experience. The ambiance, the service and the food was fantastic. The presentation of the food was beautiful. I recommend making a reservation. We did on line and it worked out perfectly. We can’t wait to come back‼️

Matt has done a wonderful job in making BRU a special restaurant and one of the best in Orange County. We delight in the fact that it is always busy. The atmosphere is beautiful and the food is delicious. I tried the ahi the other night and I plan to order it again and again. Matt also does an exceptional job of circulating and making everyone feel welcome.
