   The view is breathtaking! The food and drinks were great, definitely recommend the G&T cocktail and the lobster bisque & venison to eat. Our server Radim was very accommodating and friendly!

   Service was outstanding. Summer was a fabulous waitperson. The lamb chops, Ono, Risotto, and Shrimp were all good entrees. Enjoyed the lobster bisque starter. Of course, the views are wonderful.

   We always have a wonderful time at Brown’s Beach House. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is classic Hawaiian outdoor dining with great service and live music. We always come here when we are in Hawaii.

   Excellent service! Our waiter went above and beyond. All the appetizers were delicious but the clams were our favorite. The entrees were outstanding, the seafood coconut lemon grass boil was the dish that you MUST try. Dessert was also amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

   One of the appetizers contained a poached egg which was virtually raw & disgusting The desert a crème brûlée was almost inedible obviously out of a box & NOT a true custard this chef is third rate & yet in charge of the Fairmont’s signature restaurant and can in no way do justice to this resort I can’t quit thinking about the revolting food I was served & left uneaten on the table to great expense My husband was somewhat more pleased & will eat anything without complaint.

    This was a superb dining experience. My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. All of the staff made certain that this was a memorable occasion from the beginning to the end. Even the chef came out to greet us after the meal. We were extremely pleased with every aspect of our dining experience. We highly recommend Brown's Beach House and will definitely return whenever we come to the Big Island.

    The best meal I've had all year. Amazing view, unimpeded sunset view, a conch blowing as tiki torches were lit, soft acoustic music for amazing ambience. Our server Kua was pleasant and informative and "guided" us through our experience. Chef Rob came out and we chatted about his preparation on the amuse bouche. I think he just came to see the amazing sunset ;)z Quite the treat either way. We had miso clams that were just perfect. The beet salad w macadamia nut "cheese" was amazing. Glazed pork belly was delightful. Then the duck breast came out cooked perfectly w citrus and sweetness. My vegetarian date had the kabocha and raved about it. We barely had room for the ridiculously delightful peanut butter and white chocolate pyramid. I haven't been to Browns for years and I definitely won't wait years to come back.

    We had a double celebration. My husband’s birthday and our anniversary. Our appetizers, lobster bisque and miso sake clams were delicious. We decided to both have the night special of seared Ono, and were not disappointed. Our server Janice was the best. She was very attentive and did her best to make our night special. During our dinner we were happy to listen to vocals provided by Brandon. Of course, we finished our meal with a shared dessert of Kona coffee mud pie. The ambiance and setting is outstanding.     The ambience and location of the restaurant is unmatched. Our server was excellent and provided all our needs. I have eaten here many times in past years and this time found the food was fair at best. The prices were much higher even given inflation. The menu was much more limited than I remember and I suggest the menu be reviewed before you go.

    The location was a perfect. The live music is very good. The service was good. The food was nice to see but ill prepared - For the price it was not worthy of the location or the expense. But very lovely place to be and watch the sun set.

    We’ve been coming here for years. The quality of food and service has dropped off dramatically. We have the restaurant an opportunity to make it right, but I’m not sure they are managed properly enough, at this time, to cater to guests in a satisfactory manor. I would skip Brown’s and look to Beach Tree or Merrimans.

    We didn’t love this place. For $60 per dish, you’d expect to have not only elaborate dishes (and they were) but also delicious - and they definitely were not. The atmosphere is not too romantic either - no candlelight’s on the table, nothing else special at all. I don’t recommend this place.

    This is our favorite special dinner place when on the Big Island. We always check sunset times and make a reservation for about an hour prior, enjoying the live HI music and tiki torch lighting along with the sunset. The entire staff is friendly and caring and the food is always excellent. We’ll be back!!

    Food and service were amazing! I am gluten free and they brought me gf bread which always delights me. Tons of gluten free options on the menu. The coconut curry lobster bisque was incredible, as was the Kampachi over coconut rice. Atmosphere looking out at the ocean is unbeatable.

    Beautiful setting, excellent hostess (graciously accommodated us changing time 2x), and friendly waiter. Drinks and dessert were delicious, but the poke appetizer and entrees (special Ono and Kampachi) were not good at all. Overly cooked, dried out, and lacking flavor. On a 1-10 scale, the poke was a 4 and the entrees were a 2.

    Came for our anniversary. It was a beautiful place but definitely give yourself enough time to get to the beach. Come early to get the best views. Live music was great and our server and host was very nice and professional. The food was disappointing in that it felt not so exciting. We tried some vegan dishes that were not inspired. Our drink got knocked over and we asked for another and they charged for two drinks and forgot to apply kamaaina. Not sure if we’d be back, but it was a lovely evening.

    annual visit, never fails to meet expectations for beach side dining, live entertainment, courteous service and excellent food. The Chef 3 course menu is good value for the price. Mai tai and kona prawns are a good start.
