My wife and I were in New Orleans for a conference and wanted to eat at a nice restaurant and not spend a fortune. I don’t eat seafood, but my wife loves it. I wanted a few options for myself, and was very pleased with the non-seafood selection. My filet was excellent. My wife also enjoyed the barbecued shrimp and grits. The staff was friendly and attentive. My only minor complaint was that it too a little too long to receive our food, even though it was not crowded at the time we were there.
Food was cold and took a Long time.... $12 bottomless mimosas were great
Fantastic Sunday Jazz brunch with bottomless mimosas/rosé and a live jazz band.
Wonderful experience beginning with a beautiful hostess greeting us and showing us our table immediately despite our arrival 30 minutes early. Our servers Megan and Ann (?) were charming and attentive. The strolling musicians were in no way over bearing and took requests willingly.
We loved everything about the place and have told a dozen friends and family already.
What a treat! Fabulous brunch. Outstanding service. Loved the milk brandy punch!
Food quality was very good but not great.
A bit over priced for what was presented.
The same bottle of wine purchased the night before at another French Quarter restaurants was priced 20% higher here
Excellent, very tasty food and wonderful attentive service by fantastic servers, topped by the ceremony of making their signature dessert in front of the guests at the table. A no-brainer, you should not miss Broussard's when in New Orleans and interested in great food in a classy atmosphere!
We were there on Friday before St. Patrick’s Day and all of the French Quarter was crazy. The patio had a private party so we were in the main dining area, and it was very noisy with a couple of large groups. The hostess apologized and it did quiet down as the meal progressed. Service was excellent and food was very good. We had local fish and finished with Bananas Foster prepared table side. Pleased with the meal and the prices were reasonable.
The food and service was outstanding but it was TOO loud in the restaurant
It was amazing.
Excellent service. We will be back the next time we visit New Orleans.
I guess my expectations of what I thought was a four star restaurant may have been to high...
My husband and I dined at Broussard's on March 14,2018, to celebrate my birthday. First, the wait staff were exception, especially Arianna and Cortney. Courtney did a splendid job with the Banana's Foster and specialty coffee drink, and Arianna was very helpful in recommending dishes. The mushroom-truffle soup was amazing, and both the Bronze Fish and the Fish Almondine were wonderful. Both fish dishes were cooked perfectly. Broussard's is a beautiful place to dine. There is a wisteria bush that hangs over the courtyard that is over 120 years old. Even though we arrived earlier than our reservations, we were promptly seated. I would recommend Broussard's for any meal while visiting New Orleans. We plan to go back to Broussard's when we return to New Orleans.
The food was not up to New Orleans standards. I've eaten at multiple other restaurants that were much better. The dining room was too crowded (wedding event too close to dining room). Will not come back.
The wedding reception in the courtyard altered the ambience and noise level. I’m sure it’s usually more sedate and quiet.
The best jazz brunch in New Orleans! Made for a great special occasion meal and the service was outstanding. Highly Recommend!
Service was hands down one of the best!
Had to wait over a half hour to be seated with a reservation. They booked a wedding in the main room which is beautiful. Disappointed. The food was very good but the delays spoiled it
Food was delicious. I would highly recommend. We will be back if we ever visit New Orleans again. Service was fantastic!
Great meal though service was slow and the serving team seemed disorganized.
the waiter was the big problem. He was pushy the entire meal.
Started with 'his favorite choices from the menu'.....we hadn't even
had time to read it.
He then spent the entire meal constantly asking if everything was good
and if we needed anything else.....I came very close to telling him to back off and stay away
until I needed him. Ruined a nice meal.
I think he needs training on 'How to be a excellent waiter.'
Great food and service -- pork chop and crab gratinne were both fabulous. Bummed they ran out of bananas so did not get to try the bananas foster.
As always, Broussard's never disappoints!! This is my favorite New Orleans gem. The people who have worked there for years treat us like family. The food is delicious and reasonable. The endless bubbly on Sunday was perfect to sip while sitting under the blooming aged wisteria and listening to the smooth jazz band walk about the restaurant. I always recommend this place to everyone I meet. Don't waste your time any where else, make your reservation, sit back and enjoy.
We were there celebrating my birthday. I could tell that our meals had been sitting under the heat lamps by the film on my shrimp & grits bbq sauce. It had a great flavor, but was not served as hot as it should have been. My mother was not served the correct entree, but they fixed what she had ordered quickly and also comped that meal. The jazz band was great!
Also, I’m not sure if you all have a dress code, but there was a young lady dressed in a sports bra and work out leggings. I do not mind the leggings, but asking her to put a shirt on would have been nice. I wanted to address it while there with a manager, but did not see one walk around our table once he entire time. Our meal was overall good, but there were just a few issues that could have been avoided.
Great service by the staff and my wife and I both enjoyed our dinner. Finished with a great Banana Foster. Wish people would dress a bit nicer for such an elegant restaurant - or at least take off their hat.
Great ambiance! The live music is very nice. We dined here for brunch & the bottomless mimosas are just what we were in the mood for. Food was very good too & had a nice variety for brunch. The only negative was that we weren’t able to be seated in the outside courtyard because apparently this needs to be requested when the reservation is made, which we didn’t know. So be sure to reserve courtyard seating at the time of your booking if you’d like to enjoy the beautiful courtyard.
Service was great. The dishes could have had a
stronger spice hand
Took over 2 hours for brunch for four people. The food was good. We were looking for traditional jazz brunch but there were only three guys who wandered around the place, we couldn't hear them most of the time. Would not recommend this place.
Highly recommend the brunch by a hard to please foody. Great service, great flavors, comfortable and elegant setting. Live jazz trio added to the ambiance. Try the table side desserts.... very well done.
Brunch before Sunday matinee theater. Everything was top notch - service, quality, friendliness of staff, atmosphere, valet parking, flavors and presentation. What more can you ask? Jazz brunch is always a little loud, but live music was measured with frequent breaks, so the best of both music and conversation. Thank you for a lovely brunch!
Had a great time. The crab gratin was truly outstanding.
Food was great. Wine was great. Service was a little slow. They were out of two different wines we wanted. Overall, great place.
Attended Sunday Jaxz Brunch with several friends. Ambience, food and service excellent. Music all right, could have been a bit better. Am not a big fan of “tableside music”. Overall though well worth it. Not unreasonably priced.
The service was very good, but the food (aside from the shrimp and grits appetizer, which was amazing) was nothing to write home about, especially for the price.
Great team service from the hostess, servers and drink service. Unique and delicious cocktails. The Pompano was a classic expression of creole fish. Perfectly cooked and spice. Bananas foster is a show. Special place.
Loved the oysters, steak and Bananas Foster! Wonderful experience!
Our experience was a very good one. The food was excellent and we always dine with others who participate in allowing taste sampling of all the dishes ordered to enrich the experience, and we were not disappointed! Would dine here again on future visits.
Muy rica comida francesa en Nueva Orleans. La atención siempre muy amable y dispuesta. El lugar decorado muy bien, las sillas muy comodas. Definitivamente un lugar para recomendar...
Food was good. But the service was very spotty. Took a while for waiter to come over to table.
Sunday brunch in the courtyard was delicious! The chicken biscuit and French toast was what I had. They also had a charming bluegrass/jazz trio that was fantastic. I only wish we could have tried everything on the menu!
