The Staff was AMAZING .. the food was great!!
Awful service. Server’s attitude is terrible.
Petite steak was excellent and so was the service.
Ate here the Saturday before Mardi Gras. Restaurant was not particularly busy, but the staff still had a hard time keeping up. Seemed very inexperienced. Our server had difficultly projecting, so we had difficulty hearing her.
The staff missed lots of little minor details - none of them terrible on their own, but a surprising number given the reputation (and the price) of the restaurant. Things like not fully clearing the extra place-setting and not clearing the table promptly. Taking 10+ minutes to serve a drink. Not providing steak knives until after the entrees were served.
We all left a little disappointed. When you're talking $75-$100 per person before alcohol I expect a lot more attention to detail and service. We stopped to speak with the manager on the way out (to share our experience; we had already paid our bill), she was busy listening to another table's complaints.
The wait staff was not extremely knowledgeable about the menu and how things are prepared. She seemed lackadaisical.
Great Mardi Gras experience!!
Beautiful dining room, Excellent food and Friendly employees .
This is my go to place to take guests for brunch and happy hour. Great food.
Broussard’s was recommended by a friend and didn’t disappoint. The duck was wonderful and they had a great wine list. We had a really fun evening.
The staff was very attentive and welcoming. Also, the food was amazing. The crab cake appetizer is a must as well as the alligator and duck gumbo. Watching the banana's foster being flambeed was very aromatic and breathtaking. This was a perfect way to end our vacation. We will definitely make Broussard's, a staple on future visits to the Big Easy!!!
Broussard’s was lovely old world atmosphere. The only glitch was very slow service. It was obvious there were not enough waitstaff. My food was delicious but could have been warmer, again it was obvious it sat in the back awhile. I would go back but there are SO many restaurants in the Quarter I will probably chose another before I do. Hope they help their overworked waitstaff out soon!
Food great in beautiful space. Our waitress Took our order and then forgot about us it seemed. After an hour we inquired where our food was and they brought it out cold. When I pointed it out they did replace it with a new one. They also forgot to bring a second drink that we asked for. They were very courteous when they did come by but they just seemed spread very thin. A separate lady did our bananas foster and she was fantastic and very knowledgeable.
Beautiful place, great food, great cocktails (you have to try The Busy Bee and friendly service.
We were celebrating a birthday for Sunday brunch. The food and service was excellent. I can’t think of a better place to have brunch in the French Quarter. We had a awesome time Our servers Nyke and Isaiah were so attentive. Also, the manager Alisha helped to make the meal a memorable experience. We can’t wait to go back again. If you are visiting New Orleans this is definitely a place that you want to dine at while in town
Sunday jazz brunch was delicious. The service was impeccable, but not fussy. The jazz trio brought the New Orleans party inside with fun tunes. You are sure to love it!
Visited Broussard's more than 6 times in the last 20 years or so. It was always the epitome of NOLA elegance, ambiance, and haut cuisine. I understand it recently changed ownership. The entree's were carelessly assembled and even a signature dish, i.e. Shrimp Remoulade, was seeming arranged on a plate without much thought toward ingredients or presentation. Mediocre food quality and a real disappointment from that which was once my favorite New Orleans restaurant.
Our food was AMAZING. Our service was OUTSTANDING. I am defiantly going back here on my next visit to New Orleans.
What an awesome time!!! Galentines at Broussards! Food was awesome! Service rocked! We have it on our calendar for next year!
Visiting the city with a bit of business. Loved our experience very much. All GREAT!
the grits are top notch. what more do you need to know?!
Service was amazing and we were treated like royalty on our special day. Very great place
The musicians and waiting staff were incredible. The bottomless mimosas were definitely worth it!
Best Jazz Brunch in town! Celebrated for my mother’s birthday and the staff and jazz players were amazing if you don’t go here then you are missing out!!!
Great brunch and service. Recommend to tourist and locals
Let me start that we were there at 7pm and the restaurant was not busy. We had 2 couples visiting from out of State and wanted to take them to an "Old Style" NOLA restaurant. Broussard's, should have fit that requirement. Although the inside is lovely, the service was horrible. Starting with the drink orders, when the server ( the 1st of 3 that served our table) didn't know what a Negroni was. As this is a very popular drink now, that was surprising, but not upsetting. Then the waitress, 2nd server, came to take our food order. Didn't smile, didn't look at us, appeared sullen. 2 of us ordered the tasting menu, 1 with the wine pairing. None of the food came out with the pairing and he had to ask for the wine each time. Each time he had finished eating before the wine showed up. 2 of us split a Caesar salad, they only brought one and the dressing was tasteless. Main courses were not all served at the same time and 2 different fish preparations were less than flavorful. But what put it over the top for us was when the waitress came to the table and laid the check down without asking if we wanted dessert or coffee, as the 2 tasting desserts were served. At that point we called over the manager and told her what was going on. She was very apologetic, arranged for coffee and Bananas Foster for the table. A server that brought the coffee was well trained and friendly, as was the server that made the Bananas Foster. She did not charge us for either of those things. although we appreciated that, it did not make up for the unpleasantness during dinner. We will not go back.
I came here a year ago and had a better experience. There was a very large and loud party that made it difficult for our table to talk. Also, the food this time round wasn’t as nice. It may have just been an off day.
From the moment we entered our experience was outstanding. The staff was friendly prompt and informative. The red fish was an outstanding flavorful dish. Our meal was completed with bananas foster expertly prepared table side.
If we get back to New Orleans we will definitely be dining here.
The food qand atmosphere were excellent, however the service was poor at best. We were left alone on several occasions, needing additional drinks or refills. Our appetizer order was preceded by our salads and sent back. After we finished our appetizers, our salads were brought back, but apparently were sitting out because they were warm.
Beautiful place in French Quarter. Service was slow, we waited for drinks, drinks ran out, with no coming to see us - certainly no one there in a hurry to take care of us. Multiple people filling waters, but waiter was a ghost. The pork chop was a major mistake, and two of us unfortunately ordered it. Very dry, not tasty at all. Wish the selection was better with no steaks on the menu at all.
Everything was wonderful. The food was excellent and the service was great. The only issue that we had was the soap dispenser was broken in the bathroom.
We had a large group with a reservation during lunchtime, it took them a several minutes to acknowledge us, and close to 20 minutes to get us seated. We then ordered as quickly as we could as we’d surveyed the menu while editing. The food was delicious, once we were seated service was warm but a little slow. I would recommend coming here when you have enough time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and not have somewhere to be by a certain time.
We had a good time celebrating the retirement of an old friend. The food was good. The service was slow and the staff appeared inexperienced.
Wonderful food, beautiful place. The service was ok, good but not great.
Beautiful location, excellent service, wonderful menu.
Excellent food selection and quality! We will be back!
First time ding there. My wife and I fell in love with place. Will go back
Delicious food. Great service. French Quarter ambiance.
The food was incredible and the ambiance was really nice. The service was pretty slow, but maybe that is just "New Orleans" style. We will definitely be back next time we're in town.
Our service was very dull with the exception of the waiter who made our Cafe Brulot. Our actual waitress barely communicated with us and seemed "out of it". The Ceaser salad and French onion soup were both very disappointing. The salad tasted as though it had simply been squeezed with lemon juice and the soup was very weak when it should have a deep and robust flavor. The main dishes were sufficient however the brocolini was extremely overly salted. We paid full price for everything and I tipped the customary 20% as I don't believe in under tipping unless egregious things occur. However, I would absolutely not recommend this establishment. It felt as if they didn't care whether we truly liked the food or not and because they are 100 years old and located on Conti in the French Quarter, they don't really need to care because they will always have foot traffic and tourist business. This is truly a shame because I expected to have an old school New Orleans experience like I do at Commanders, Galatoires, and Arnauds.
