Visited for Sunday jazz brunch, I went in expecting to enjoy jazz music while I ate however that was not the case. After being seated I waited for 20 minutes before being acknowledged by the waiter, as I waited my assigned waiter stood around as if he didn’t have a single care. He finally decided to come over only after debating with another waiter who should come over and take our drink order. The food was mediocre at best.
Great food, great service. The noise level makes you want to leave soon.
Another wonderful dining experience at Broussard's. We had wonderful service at the bar and also in the dining room ... I recommend Broussard's to everyone that is looking for a "true New Orleans food experience." Our waiter this time was William. William was so courteous, polite and knowledge about the Broussard's menu. He was a joy to have as a waiter .. I teased him, as I told him that two weeks ago, we had Gene as our waiter, so I told him, Gene raised the bar pretty high. and he must out-perform Gene's service to us. William's service to us was equally as good. Both waiters are jewels for the restaurant .. Broussard's has a wonderful staff working for them. Please commend William on the excellent service he provided to our group on Saturday night.
Broussard’s was amazing! We went for the jazz brunch on Saturday morning. The band was great and the service was better. No complaints of anything. The chicken and waffles were to die for. Will definitely return the next time I am in New Orleans!
Overall positive experience. Seafood trio appetizer was very good, duck breast entree was good and Pim’s cup cocktail was ok according to my taste. Wait staff was prompt, pleasant and attentive. Lovely restaurant. Very traditional New Orleans/Southern.
Everything was superb. Among the dishes we had (and thoroughly enjoyed): duck and alligator gumbo; crawfish bisque; Gulf Fish Amandine; Bronzed Redfish; Pompano Ponchartrain; Barbequed Shrimp. Staff was attentive, but not overbearing. You MUST go to Broussard's.
A great place to celebrate our tenth anniversary. They had a great deal because of restaurant week, which we are happy to take advantage of. The staff was fabulous and very attentive, but not too overbearing. The food was great and served beautifully. If in New Orleans again, I would dine there
The ingredients and seafood were fresh. Crab cakes were delicious. It was nothing but crabs for a very decent price. Well worth it! Service was exceptional!! Everyone greeted us with a smile on their face and all were happy to have us there. The managers and servers went above and beyond so that we can enjoy our meal. They even offered to hold my baby for me so that I can eat my entree so that it won't get cold! Highly recommended and we will definitely return again.
Booked the jazz brunch for my mom’s birthday. Was seated in back dining room (green room). It was SO LOUD we couldn’t hear the LIVE JAZZ music at all. We thought they left. It was so loud we were yelling at each other to talk since we weren’t listening to jazz.
The service was terrible. Team of two guys who seemed like they were asleep at the wheel. Took 15 minutes to get bottled water to the table and asked multiple times.
Food was ‘meh’...
Pretty disappointing after all the amazing meals and terrific atmosphere of every other place we ate in town.
Not happy with my experience. We had a reservation but had to wait, and then service was awful. Slow, not attentive, and I had to ask for the same thing multiple times because the server kept forgetting.
Excellent, one of my favorite restaurants
We were in NOLA for one dinner. Meeting an old friend. We chose Broussard’s due to a great correspondence with Rebecca prior to our arrival. The hospitality was amazing the service good and the meal outstanding. Made for a great evening.
Delicious food served with professional attentive waitstaff. Excellent value
Wonderful,attentive wait staff especially Lugene
Food was superb
Overall experience fantastic
Our first dinner in town this trip. The food was exquisite. The service was very good, and the hostess/FOH manager was keeping an eye on the staff. I think this may have been a training run for a few of them. I would certainly visit again.
Excellent service, exceptional food, above average cocktails.
The summer 1920 deals can’t be beat
I have eaten at Broussards many times over the years. This was not good. I was very embarrassed that I recommended it for brunch. The soup was cold, oysters were overcooked. The best part was the jazz.
I expected more. I was underwhelmed. My waitr was unenthusiastic. Waitress much better.
The food was awesome. I took home half of the pork tenderloin (Coolinary menu) and it was even better the next day. Service was prompt and friendly. And lastly, price was dirt-cheap. The anniversary special was a deal and a half. With or without specials, I would HIGHLY recommend Broussard's!
On Saturday 8/31/19, we started in the bar for Happy Hour! The gentleman and lady behind the bar were wonderful. So hospitable and a a true delight as bartenders! Enjoyed the conversation, we had with both. Next, we moved on to our table for dinner. We were seated in the small room, next to the larger dinning room ... A first for dinning in this room. We were greeting by a female waitress and then by our waiter, Gene, who oversaw our dining experience the entire evening. What a delight Gene was ... I knew we were in good hands, as he presented himself as a knowledgeable and a "full of personality" individual. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience, which was made possible by the exceptional staff, (bartenders and Gene our waiter). By the way, the food was delicious ... love, love the 1920 menu. Please commend both the bartenders and our waiter Gene on the wonderful service they rendered to us.
BTW, we are locals, so we know where to go for dining and where not to go! Love Broussards!
Overall the experience was good, I mean how can a drag brunch with bottomless mimosas during Decadence be bad? Keep in mind we are locals. The biggest complaint would be we had to switch tables not once but twice... We had a party of 11 people. When we arrived we were seated in a room off of the main dining/drag performance space. Immediately after sitting we were asked if we wanted to move to the main room. Excitedly we said yes! We sashayed our way through the main room to the new table right in front of all the action. After sitting we were then told we couldn’t sit there by the hostess because it was reserved for a “regular.” Embarrassed and disappointed we sashayed back to our original table. Our servers did keep the bubbly flowing throughout brunch and the drag performances were fun. The food was mediocre but served eloquently. As the queens performed the final number... guess what table still had no guests seated at it?! Then the staff had the nerve to offer the table to us again after the brunch was basically over! No indeed hunty! They could’ve made us “regulars” but instead chose to let a table sit empty while my friends and I danced and entertained the guests in our room. My advice, stick to brunch at the Country Club. “Big mistake, huge...”
Drag Brunch was great! Food was delicious!
Wonderful time at the Drag Queen Brunch!
We had a very less than mediocre experience during “coolinary month”. Maybe it was just bc it was a fixed menu, but it definitely did not make me want to go back.
Had a wonderful time . Staff is great, food delicious and beverages always a pleasure. Will return
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner Sunday evening. The turtle soup is the best I've had in a restaurant. And my husband was really pleased with the creme brulee. We'll definitely be back.
From the time we walked in to the time we left the experience was amazing. The staff was so friendly, attentive and helpful. The food was a huge hit with our 6 person group. I bring people every time I’m in town and it NEVER disappoints. 5 stars all the way around!
This was hands down the best dining experience we had during our trip to New Orleans. Extremely friendly and attentive staff, a wonderful ambiance with live experience, and exceptional food. We highly recommend adding this brunch spot to your list of to-do's!
Great atmosphere and location to Bourbon street. Nice variety of menu items, highly recommend the brunch on weekends. Amazing live jazz band.
The food and service was good, the ambience was a bit disappointing. It was my husband's 61st birthday and they didn't do anything to make the evening special.
Great time. Excellent service and delicious food!
Made our visit thank you
Everything was great with the exception of the replacement of water and the tuff, dry pork.
We had a great meal and super service at Broussard's. I highly recommend dinner here.
Amazing atmosphere. Amazing staff. Great food. I’d recommend anyone go here for any occasion.
Eating at the bar in Broussard’s is the best kept secret in New Orleans!
I just love returning to the place every time I come to New Orleans! If you have never tried it PLEASE book a table now. Rebeca and staff are first class! When I say the Sunday brunch is a must do, I'm not kidding. Music and patio dining, when the weather permits, make it an authentic experience. Anything you order off their menu is simply divine! Keep going back to try it all, I know I have!! Trying to get back there to try there $19.20 menu!! Spectacular!
Horrible service. Not trained and very slow.
