The ambiance seemed reasonable though the service was marginal. In other words, if the atmosphere was changed to a Denny's I think you wouldn't notice. The food presentation and flavor was so-so. They forgot to pour the wine so we had to remind them 5 times. The bread was dry with no flavor. Certainly poor value for the flavor, service and money.
Broussard's has been a lovely experience each and every time I've visited! My most recent visit was for Sunday jazz brunch for my mother's birthday. It was my family's first time at Broussard's and they were so impressed! All of our food was excellent and the service was extremely attentive. My parents now want to come here for brunch every time they visit me in New Orleans. 10/10 recommend!
Went for brunch on Sunday. Delicious!! 👌🏻
We were greeted promptly by the hostess and seated. It was then 10 minutes before the server arrived to take a drink order. Service was sporadic from there. The food was
OK. We then waited 20 minutes after placing a dessert order before it arrived. We requested but did not receive an itemized receipt to determine if service charge had already been added. Finally we signed the credit card receipt not wanting to prolong our wait. Very disappointing!
Wonderful service and great food! We had our kids with us and they loved it.
Food was excellent but we found the service unfriendly. We had an inexperienced waitress, apparently very young as she did not open/pour our wine. Both seemed hassled and no one smiled. Not very many diners there. Courtyard was virtually empty so we did not sit out there, although it was why we chose this restaurant. Drinks were not very good, no one at the bar either.
Appetizers and entrees were good. Desserts and drinks were awful. The service was inattentive and poorly trained. There are many better options nearby. Pass on this one.
Everything was amazing!! Great service and great food!!
The food was delicious and the customer service exceptional! Our food did take a while to come out, but overall I loved it. Bottomless mimosas were worth it!!
Absolutely the best brunch we have had in New Orleans. Food was excellent, bottomless mimosas were flowing and music was fantastic.
Amazing food! Awesome bottomless mimosas for Sunday brunch! Highly recommend
Our group was in NOLA celebrating my cousin’s upcoming wedding. The food was delicious and the manager made our experience even better. The banana foster was great!
Staff members were all friendly and welcomed us with smiles. The food was delicious: oysters Broussard’s, shrimp linguine, red fish, gumbo soup, garlic parm fries and banana fosters.
Everything was amazing. We sat at the bar before dinner. The bartenders were very informative and helpful. We at outside and had duck and a pork chop, both were delicious! Both waitresses were helpful and welcoming. We considered having dinner here every night during our stay!
love love love this place! first time we had been there. small menu, and we were right at the end of summer before they switched over to the fall menu. but i had gulf shrimp pasta with black truffles and olives that tasted almost like a kalamata but not as briny. service was impeccable. decor very fancy with chandeliers and such. however, many people were wearing shorts and ucky t-shirts. i feel like when you go to a restaurant like this, you should at least put jeans and a nice shirt on. we wore slacks and blouses.
The food was fantastic and the service was excellent as well. We had the cafe brulot diabolique with dessert and it was amazing! They came out with a tray and prepared it at our table, lighting the orange on fire! I would highly recommend this restaurant!!
We dined at Broussard's for Saturday jazz brunch this past weekend. We were a party of eight women in our 30s celebrating a bachelorette weekend. We were seated on the lovely patio where a three piece jazz band was going table to table, which was delightful. At first, our server was friendly and attentive, helping us reconfigure tables and umbrellas to make sure we were all in the shade. After we placed our orders, however, she seemed to completely forget about us, though the two assistant servers came by many times to refill bottomless mimosas and take additional drink orders. When we had been sitting for an hour and 25 minutes and had not even received the bread baskets we had ordered, one of our party finally went into the restaurant to figure out what was going on. We were given an excuse that "coffee cake had just gone into the oven," though it was fairly obvious to all that our ticket had never been submitted, because about 10-15 minutes later, everything was delivered all at once. Our server then resurfaced, asking "how is everything tasting?" as she walked by our table without stopping, and with no apology for, or even acknowledgment of, the significant delay. When the check arrived, no accommodation had been made, although when asked, the manager agreed to take off the two bread baskets that we had no time to enjoy because they were delivered at the same time as our entrees. All in all, we appreciated the ambiance, the strolling jazz trio, the food, and the service of our attentive assistant servers, but the delay coupled with the restaurant's reluctance to take responsibility for it caused our otherwise-enjoyable experience at Broussard's to end on a sour note.
Broussards hit it out of the park tonight! We had a delicious seafood trio appetizer to share. The duck and alligator gumbo was an excellent second course. We split the main, a white fish almondine that was outstanding. Our servers were prompt and attentive. But John Smith was the star, a colorful and authentic character who embodies the nutty greatness of NOLA. The experience really exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend Broussards.
The whole ambiance of this place was amazing! The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal! We attended Jazz brunch, and it was definitely an experience. I can’t wait to go back soon!
The courtyard was beautiful, the food was outstanding and our bottomless mimosas never got below half full. The service was excellent. We had a wonderful time!
Loved it and especially the Ramos Gin Fizz!! ✨💖✨
Out of a weekend of dining with my In-laws, we started off at Broussards and what a disappointment. I have carefully chosen Broussards based on past experiences but will not be coming back. I work in the hospitality industry as a General Manager for hotels in the city, I know how to plan my meal periods around peak times. We arrived at 7:20 for 7:30 reservations on Friday evening for Outside seating. We were seated promptly, in the courtyard with only 3 other tables. Server 1 greeted us and explained that server 2 would be waiting on us together. 20 minutes later, server 1 came back to us with to finally take a drink order, drinks arrived at our table 7 minutes later (not a terrible delivery time). We ended up waiting for another 15 minutes before getting bread or anyone asking about appetizers. Without boring you about our service time for the remaining meal, some other items that were poor; we had to ask for our own napkins and silverware, had to request for additional food items more than once, male restroom was out of paper towels, and female restroom ran out of soap. The restroom items were fixed faster than the service at the table. My In-laws were embarrassed, as was my wife and I, for the meal and service that I treated them to. I would understand if they were busy, but I know that they were not.
Visited for Sunday jazz brunch, I went in expecting to enjoy jazz music while I ate however that was not the case. After being seated I waited for 20 minutes before being acknowledged by the waiter, as I waited my assigned waiter stood around as if he didn’t have a single care. He finally decided to come over only after debating with another waiter who should come over and take our drink order. The food was mediocre at best.
Great food, great service. The noise level makes you want to leave soon.
Another wonderful dining experience at Broussard's. We had wonderful service at the bar and also in the dining room ... I recommend Broussard's to everyone that is looking for a "true New Orleans food experience." Our waiter this time was William. William was so courteous, polite and knowledge about the Broussard's menu. He was a joy to have as a waiter .. I teased him, as I told him that two weeks ago, we had Gene as our waiter, so I told him, Gene raised the bar pretty high. and he must out-perform Gene's service to us. William's service to us was equally as good. Both waiters are jewels for the restaurant .. Broussard's has a wonderful staff working for them. Please commend William on the excellent service he provided to our group on Saturday night.
Broussard’s was amazing! We went for the jazz brunch on Saturday morning. The band was great and the service was better. No complaints of anything. The chicken and waffles were to die for. Will definitely return the next time I am in New Orleans!
Overall positive experience. Seafood trio appetizer was very good, duck breast entree was good and Pim’s cup cocktail was ok according to my taste. Wait staff was prompt, pleasant and attentive. Lovely restaurant. Very traditional New Orleans/Southern.
Everything was superb. Among the dishes we had (and thoroughly enjoyed): duck and alligator gumbo; crawfish bisque; Gulf Fish Amandine; Bronzed Redfish; Pompano Ponchartrain; Barbequed Shrimp. Staff was attentive, but not overbearing. You MUST go to Broussard's.
A great place to celebrate our tenth anniversary. They had a great deal because of restaurant week, which we are happy to take advantage of. The staff was fabulous and very attentive, but not too overbearing. The food was great and served beautifully. If in New Orleans again, I would dine there
The ingredients and seafood were fresh. Crab cakes were delicious. It was nothing but crabs for a very decent price. Well worth it! Service was exceptional!! Everyone greeted us with a smile on their face and all were happy to have us there. The managers and servers went above and beyond so that we can enjoy our meal. They even offered to hold my baby for me so that I can eat my entree so that it won't get cold! Highly recommended and we will definitely return again.
Booked the jazz brunch for my mom’s birthday. Was seated in back dining room (green room). It was SO LOUD we couldn’t hear the LIVE JAZZ music at all. We thought they left. It was so loud we were yelling at each other to talk since we weren’t listening to jazz.
The service was terrible. Team of two guys who seemed like they were asleep at the wheel. Took 15 minutes to get bottled water to the table and asked multiple times.
Food was ‘meh’...
Pretty disappointing after all the amazing meals and terrific atmosphere of every other place we ate in town.
Not happy with my experience. We had a reservation but had to wait, and then service was awful. Slow, not attentive, and I had to ask for the same thing multiple times because the server kept forgetting.
Excellent, one of my favorite restaurants
We were in NOLA for one dinner. Meeting an old friend. We chose Broussard’s due to a great correspondence with Rebecca prior to our arrival. The hospitality was amazing the service good and the meal outstanding. Made for a great evening.
Delicious food served with professional attentive waitstaff. Excellent value
Wonderful,attentive wait staff especially Lugene
Food was superb
Overall experience fantastic
Our first dinner in town this trip. The food was exquisite. The service was very good, and the hostess/FOH manager was keeping an eye on the staff. I think this may have been a training run for a few of them. I would certainly visit again.
Excellent service, exceptional food, above average cocktails.
