Excellent customer service! Delicious food, and great prices.
I usually love this restaurant but they have no vegetarian or vegan options unless you pay for a salad but don't get the meat. You still have to pay full price. It is not for people on a plant based diet. I had the mushroom soup for $14 which is rather pricey for soup with very little taste. It would be nice if they offered some really interesting vegetarian options.
My trout was beautifully prepared and presented; vegetables were nicely al dente and mashed potatoes very tasty. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. My pet peeve: wait staff wanting to snatch our plates if we even looked close to done with our meals. I thought the standard was to wait until all diners have clearly finished their dinners before removing any tableware. It rarely happens.
The food was excellent. Our server was awesome! And though it was crowded People were not on top of each other. I would highly recommend
Sublime dining experience. Great people giving great service.
We got stuck at the worst table in the restaurant and they would not move us to one of the empty tables. Ruined our dining experience. It was like eating on the side of the highway with all the traffic from the staff and other customers.
Always great food, great service, friendly staff. We stop in whenever we are in the area.
Had a delicious lunch before a day of wine tasting. The food was excellent as always. I had the Stilton burger as fries, my husband had the French dip and our friend had the fried oyster po’boy. Everything was perfect. The service was great too, thank you Junior.
First time but definitely won't be the last. Wonderful food and great service. Large portions, well worth the price!. Calamari and sweet onions the best I ever had eaten!!
Absolutely love the Red Barn, our local gem. Even with an issue on one meal, it was handled beautifully and expertly by Matt, our fabulous waiter. Another great evening at the Red Barn.
Food was phenomenal as usual, took two new guests and they also thought the food was great.
Found this gem as we were passing through the area. The servers were very attentive, the flavors delicious, and the portions were large. Will definitely be back.
A birthday party dinner. The staff was very helpful in serving a special cake we brought to the restaurant
We sat at the bar and had a delicious dinner. Nick, our bartender, was very friendly and provided us with great service.
We look forward to coming back soon.
It was casual, nice.....it was my husband’s birthday & they offered no desert......I was very disappointed.....Not a place to celebrate......it was a surprise going.... food & service was good, but when I called the said the would do something..... like desert with candle......
I love the prime rib at Brothers, but when I ordered it last Sunday they were out of it! Hard to believe that it could all by gone by 7pm...
Although covid restrictions were at their highest, we had a great time. The food was as good as always, and we appreciated the attention we received. One of our most favorite restaurants in the valley!
Never dissapoints. Best calamari appetizer you can get anywhere. My husband loved his salmon and the filet was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend!!
The best service you could imagine with exceptional flavors.
It was top notch food and service
Delicious, the bread basket especially the little mini cheese scones was super yummy. Had local wine by the glass, excellent choices. We ordered the Wedge Salad, excellent. Followed by the sliders, again excellent. And I had the special, the pan seared East Coast scallops... which were super good, but what I was REALLY impressed by was the vegetable medley bed that the scallops were presented on. That was really outstanding. So a great little find in downtown Santa Ynez, it will be mostly the knowledgeable locals in there dining, but everyone is super friendly so enjoy!
A must stop when in the Santa Yanez area. They are the best!!!!
Always a treat! Matt took great care of us. The salmon was on point. We always split it because by the time we eat the bread and a salad, we are too full to eat the full meal!
Birthday dinner for out-of town relative (we are locals). Seeking “best steak in town” for one; superb prime rib for the other. Both delighted! Despite the more “usual” main entrees, both dishes accompanied by creative, inventive and thoughtfully prepared side dishes (and marvelous desserts).
Anything by the “Brothers” can be counted upon to be top-quality and superbly prepared/paired. That this one is located in Santa Ynez Township AND in the Big Red Barn makes it a truly special dining destination in our beautiful SYV.
Always a great time @ Red Barn. Our favorite Valley restaurant. Food, service. They always deliver.
We were visiting Los Olivos and hear great comments about the Brothers Restaurant. The steak and lamb chops were extraordinary. The corn bread was soft, fluffy and very savory. We brought our wine ( no corking fee) My husband got to choose a dessert for his Bday!! Great food and service
The food was delicious! Clam chowder soup, Romaine salad with shaved Parmesan, and salmon. Banana brioche bread pudding for dessert. Pinot red wine. Diane was our server, and she was wonderful. The service was excellent.
Our waitress Diane has been our waitress for several years and she is the absolute best !!!!! We just love her !!
One of the best dinners we’ve had in awhile. The fried oysters were delicious! Excellent prime rib, rack of lamb and ice cold martinis! We will definitely eat here again!
Went for our Anniversary. It was a suggested place & it didn’t disappoint
Too much $$$$$$. I can get excellent service and excellent food for half the cost elsewhere-
Sad to see an old town place that has been here since my Great Grandfather was sheriff, get so
out of reach price wise for the locals to afford (unless you're a transplant from LA). Won't be back-
The best prime rib ever. Service was as wonderful as the food. The environment is unique and a great reflection of the Santa Ynez Valley. Everything was great. Would always appreciate a larger pour of wine.
Fantastic meal! We will definitely be back.
Excellent service and the best prime rib in the Central Coast
It was for our 33rd anniversary. The last time we ate here the food was excellent. This time around, the Prime Rib I ordered was really fatty. I ordered the most expensive Prime Rib cause I thought it would be as good as the last time I ordered it about 2 years ago. The server was great. Just a bit disappointed on the food this time around. Will I dine here again? Most likely when I’m in the area again. I just won’t order the most expensive cut.
We arrived on a very busy night, friendly hostess initially did not see our OT reservation as their computers has temporary issues. But recognizing us as past customers and users of OT, they seated us immediately. Red Barn is consistently among the best restaurant experiences in the SY Valley in every category. Always a major treat to go there.
There aren’t a lot options in Santa Ynez but saw good reviews for this restaurant. The food was delicious, cocktails were spot on and service was excellent. Will defn be back again. Loved my scallops and my husband’s veal chop was cooked perfectly: pink on the inside and slightly charred on the outside.
We had dinner with old friends from out-of -town. The food was top notch and we all enjoyed it. It was a bit noisy ,but I don't know how that could be mitigated. My wife thought it was a little warm, and she is usually cold, but I didn't notice.
We have been to the Red Barn many times over the years and it is great for special dinners. The prices are on the upper level but so is the food. Just be prepared.
This place is a hidden gem. If you are in the area do like us and try something new rather the same old restaurant. We tried this place and Red Barn did not disappoint. The clam chowder was yummy. The burger and French dip was delicious. We need to go back because we didn't have any room for the famous mud pie. We are on a mission next time.
Great meal i asked for low salt and received a perfect custom meal ! Delicious
