Brother Jimmy's BBQ
We serve down home cooking with southern hospitality. We also serve as the home away from home for all ACC alumni.
We have been going to Brother Jimmy's for years, especially the one in the UWS that no longer is there so we go to the one on 34th Street after church. Great good, great fun place and my tween son loves it also. Great place to go with the family or with have adult time with your friends.
There were 10 people in the restaurant on a Thursday night at 8pm. The music was so loud we couldn’t talk. We asked to move to a table that wasn’t directly under a speaker were told they were for tables of 3 or more. There were 10 people on 2 floors? Really? We left! I don’t care how the food is. I don’t enjoy torture while I try and eat.
Good food but the place gets packed when there is a Rangers game.
Ranger Game—fun Nashville Country Bar type of atmosphere. Drinks were a little overpriced but the food was delicious and all the people that work there are really nice. It was a fun 2 hr pre-game dinner!
Good food, great location and friendly service at a reasonable price!
We had dinner before the PBR at MSG. It was awesome! We will definitely be back🤩
Was very much looking forward to some great BBQ prior to the PBR event at the Garden. Loved that OpenTable had the ability to make the reservation. Reservation was for 5pm, event at 645. We ordered apps, drinks and entree's all at once for quicker service. Waited over an hour for our food and finally came to have 10 min to eat. Not acceptable. Wont go back.
Apps, meals and drinks were all fantastic. Prices were great. Located right across from MSG!
This location is great for Garden events. Just across the street from entrance on 8th ave.
Went for lunch. The brisket was amazing! Kids eat free but be aware that the kids meal burger is literally one small slider and some fries. Both our kids asked for another slider. Service was great and overall great experience.
Good food, good service but music way too high to make a conversation
We were very early for our reservation and they accommodated us very easily. The food was good and service was pretty quick.
We were pleasantly surprised to find out the kids meals were free.
Our waitress was great but kitchen was slow. A real plus- kids under 10 eat FREE!
This was our first time at this restaurant so I didn't know what to expect. We had a reservation & were seated upstairs. Decor very rustic. Food was delicious. We had pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket and all were tasty. Will go back.
This dinner was disappointing compared to previous times. The apps came late and the BBQ Tips were on the dry side. Mains came within 5 mins of Apps. But the Brisket was tasty as always.
I truly enjoyed my first visit to Brother Jimmies. A very good place to visit after a venue at MSG. The upstairs is nice and much quieter than downstairs.
Fun place to grab a drink n dinner before MSG show - very convenient
Food and service was great!! Will be coming back!
This was a good choice before the Ranger game. 4 of us and only $145 total. 2 appetizers, 3 plates and 6 drinks. Not bad. The wings were good and the ribs were delicious. The popcorn shrimp wasnt deveined and the brisket was a little dry but overall I would go back
While the food I had was tasty (bbq chicken sandwich) the bun was a bore. My hubs got the peach bourbon bbq wings and pulled pork loaded fries, they were fantastic. Swamp water is amazing!!
The food was great and the service was even better. The only thing I would recommend is having the heat on because I was freezing where I was sitting. Overall, great experience
The food was delicious, especially the chicken wings. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly, welcoming, and charming.
I thought Brother Jimmy's was a little tight and crowded but the food was very good the prices were a little high but that's normal for New York City. Other than that it is across the street from the garden and there are people everywhere I give the restaurant at 3 out of five because improvements can be made if necessary
Make sure you have a reservation, 30-45 minute wait for table on nights when MSG has something going on.
First ever Knicks game
Overall experience was great . Food was excellent and staff were very friendly
Food was good and value great. They are under construction now but look forward to seeing new look.
Great place to watch Sunday nfl. Whether you’re a local or killing time before your Amtrak
I loved the food, the employees, and the service. However It was a mistake to meet friends there. The music was so loud that we had to leave. We could not hear anything but the music and we didn't go there for the music.
Service was great. The food was served quickly and hot.
Starting with great service, followed by great appetizers! The frickles were amazing and we are still dreaming about eating them! Main cource of southern fried chicken were moist inside and spicy and crispy on the outside - and SO MUCH of it! The coleslaw was one of the best I’ve had! Overall fantastic!
Fantastic atmosphere and great service.
Food good , service could be better . Not bad overall
I had made a reservation two weeks before for lunch time meal. I still had to wait for a table more then 15 mins, My server was amazing
The area upstairs is under construction. I can’t wait to see what it looks like when it’s finished.
It’s a good place to take kids. There are TVs to entertain them. The food is simple and tasty. It arrived rather quickly. It’s a good option if you are in the area.
The first time I went here I Loved the food, service and atmosphere. Great place!! I'll always come here
My husband, grandchildren and I had an outstanding lunch. Highly recommend.
The staff was very attentive and courteous. The food and beverages were awesome.
