Brother Jimmy's BBQ Ratings and Reviews
The place was perfectly situated across from MSG. We were able to eat meal and appetizers within an hour to make it to the game on time. Very kid friendly. Meals were free with adult entree. Meat platters were FILLING!!! We had an appetizer but it was not needed. Sides were delicious!
We made a reservation to make an event at MSG. While we were seated immediately, we waited about 25 minutes for a server to take our order. We didn’t raise the alarm because they were really busy. When a server saw we had not been taken care of yet, she took over graciously and made our experience end well. Food was better than when I ate there last year.
Reservation highly recommended on event night at MSG. Line for waiting and we we're seated right away due to our reservation. Definitely not an upscale ambiance, but it's not supposed to be. Food was excellent, waitress was awesome and helped push our order through because we told her we were headed to MSG for an event (hint, hint). Infrequent visitor to NYC, but will definitely be back anytime I go to MSG. Wife (Sloppy Jimmy sandwich) and son ( grilled Mac and cheese) also loved their meals.
I would definetly recommend Brother Jimmys BBQ to a friend. It was our first ranger game so we were so excited and the staff was so friendly and nice. it was the greatest time of my life in the city. I usually don't go to the city because of the places to eat are always so crowded but I can't wait to go there again!
Service was fine, but prices? Way over-priced for one order of spinach-artichoke dip (very small portion) and the nacho platter which was decent size. $80+ later, we thought there was an error on the bill, but it was correct! They really slam u with outrageous drink prices and we had only 2 drinks each.
The food was excellent. The ribs were fall off the bone tasty, the beans were very flavorful, the mac and cheese perfect. The tater tots were store-bought frozen variety, but not a big deal with so much else to enjoy. Only criticism was the place was literally the noisiest restaurant I've ever been inside. You couldn't hear someone yelling six inches away from you. Turn off the music and it'll be a more enjoyable place. Other than the noise, the food was really excellent.
