Brooks' Bar & Deck at Edgewood Tahoe
Brooks was recently selected by the editors of Golf Digest as one of the “Best Golf Pubs,” joining an additional 10 other pubs worldwide in famous golfing locations including Pebble Beach, California; St. Andrews, Scotland; and Doonbeg, Ireland. Offering great food and an amazing atmosphere to enjoy with friends, Brooks' has become one of South Lake Tahoe's best restaurants that everyone can enjoy.
Perfect place for casual dining with a view. Free valet parking makes it easy to stop in for a quick bite.
I had a salad with salmon added. Usually, the salmon is in a small fillet and very good. This time, it was three "fish sticks" of tasteless, dry, salmon that was awful. My wife's hamburger was good. But there are no added seasonings so one must add everything onto the burger that one wants. When we came into the restaurant, it was basically empty at 1:00 on a Sunday. ? The server was great, but the ambience was very strange. Tomb like.
Brooks is consistently good. But this time I was disappointed that they had no sparkling mineral water available. Fairly basic I would have thought
Food was good and service was great. We arrived at 7 and they were sold out of the surf and turf, but didn't notify us until well after placing our order. Other than that, we were pleased.
Nice atmosphere and wait staff. Good food but limited dinner menu. One time we had to sit outside and there were no heaters and it was a very cold evening.
Try the oxtail tater tots!!
I hit Brooks once a month or so...usually a burger and beer stop. Yesterday, now actually the last 3 times I’ve been there, burger meat is sub-par; spitting out those hard spheres of fat you’ll find in low-end ground beef. For the price and intended experience, Brooks shouldn’t cut corners on ingredients.
I gave Brooks such a low rating because of the parking situation, which is terrible.
Wonderful everything, but I’d like to see more basic good food, rather than fancy different. Love the whole edgewood ambiance though, phenomenal.
What a gem! This place is 5m from the Village (where we were staying) , so beautiful inside , great food. Quiet. We actually went back two nights in a row.
As always, great food and great service!!
Best steak salad ever - large chunks of delicious steak, highly recommended!
Brooks Bar offered a very nice Thanksgiving option of the entire bar menu in addition to the classic turkey dinner. Turkey dinner included a big pile of white meat, green beans, stuffing, gravy. No Taters or roll. We asked for some kind of roll and our kind waitress snuck some from the fancy schmancy buffet dinner next door at the Edgewood Restaurant
An additional 8 bucks got you a festive dessert.
We were lucky enough to get reservations for Thanksgiving last minute. So happy we did! The food was exceptional. We had Lindsay as our server. She was great! She was even kind enough to take a couple of photos for us. The view of the water as well as the golf course, is quite scenic. It was absolutely fabulous. It was raining during our visit. so we appreciated the valet parking as well. Highly recommend this place for an afternoon bite or quiet and laid back dinner!
First time to this place and it was fabulous! I have been coming to Lake Tahoe for years and although I knew of Edgewood golf course I had no idea the clubhouse dining was this darn good. This is definitely one of my new "go to" places when I am in the area. The chicken sandwich and sweet potato tots were without a doubt the best I ever had. I never thought I would get excited about a chicken sandwich! My wife had the Mahi Mahi tacos and they were equally fantastic. Great ambiance and a nice lake view with very good and friendly service.
Our server was well informed and was very helpful with our wine selection.
I had the harvest salad and my date had the house salad. Both salad dressing had so much vinegar that we about choked. Very disappointed in the quality of the harvest salad that was skimpy with anything other than iceberg lettuce. I have always enjoyed Brook's and this was the first time I can say I had a bad meal .
We are repeat patrons.. locals and this and the Sage Room are our favorite restaurants!
Great service, good food
The only thing I wish they would put on the the menu was there jerk salmon dish... it was awesome. Menu needs a pick me up.
This was my third experience at Edgewood. All I can say is that the service and food is consistently poor. The only redeeming quality here is the location and view (which is world class).
I went to Brooks for Sunday brunch. It was a very stale and common brunch buffet. Service was incredibly poor, as drinks were served after we had asked for the check to depart the restaurant after we had finished our meal.
Great view of the lake. If it is too cool in the evening, sit by the fire outside.
More than just an awe-inspiring view of Lake Tahoe. The food is actually good and the prices reasonable.
This visit to Brooks was for a group of 6 that was celebrating a birthday. We had REALLY hoped to sit out on the patio...but it was just too cool and breezy... Darn! We ate inside, which was fine, but kinda noisy. Great food as always, and LOVED the Brussel Sprout appetizer!
Amazing location, great view, delicious food, friend staff. Can’t go wrong here!
We had a 2PM lunch and it was great. Not crowed at all, waiter was great, along with the food. After lunch we spent some time at the beach enjoying the view and the Lake. Thank you...
Eddie our server was very helpful and accommodating and the food was very good.
Always a favorite place to bring friends and enjoy the ambiance!
Great ambiance on the patio and food/drinks were nicely prepared
Poor service! Mediocre NY steak.
This was my first timing dining at the restaurant as I was staying as a guest at the Edgewater Resort.
In short, my service was horrible! It took the wait staff over an hour to bring my mom & I our food. This was even after having to get the manager involved. The waitress was really nice but unfortunately, the cooking staff failed to meet our expectations and once the food arrived it was subpar to say the least.
Yes, the ambiance is wonderful, but for a restaurant to be on the property of a 5-star resort, I expected to receive outstanding service from all-parties involved. Given our reservations were at 7 pm and the food didn’t arrive until after 8:30 pm finding another restaurant wasn’t ideal so I stayed and made my frustrations known to the manager.
As far as the explanation for the delay, I was told they were really busy which clearly wasn’t the case given larger parties were served following my mom & I placing our orders. Noting all we ordered were a burger & fries and the salmon fish & chips, so our meals were fairly simple to prepare.
I will not be dining at this restaurant for the remainder of my 3 day stay. Diner beware!!!
my husband and I were disappointed in the steak. it was our anniversary and looked forward to the gorgeous sunset which we saw but food was not great. we had better steak at a dive bar down the street the night before. drinks were great though and servers were nice. gorgeous location
Service was amazing, crowded holiday weekend and felt very attended to. Wonderful birthday lunch with my mother, perfect place for older parents (late 70s) and daughter who is six. No crayons so bring things to keep little ones busy ;)
We sat outside- view was fantastic. Service was superb, food was on par with a chain restaurant. Had steak- wasn’t a great cut of meat. Lacked flavor and tenderness.
Went for an early lunch. Warm friendly welcome from Lily, great service from Lindsie. Wonderful cocktails and food - we had the Brussels sprouts appetizer, the mahi tacos and sirloin burger. All excellent. Wonderful outdoor patio area (worth booking to request the table you want) with beautiful views of Lake Tahoe and the manicured golf course. My only ‘niggle’ was the somewhat annoying grackles (birds) that kept landing by us....perhaps they could install one of those owl deterrents?
Excellent as always. The service and the food is impeccable.
We have always loved Brooks Bar & Grill, but we haven't been for several years. The food is just as good as ever, and the location/view are wonderful as always. We quit going because new management alienated the small local community by treating employees and customers very badly. Edgewood used to support our schools and community and we in turn supported them. That era ended sadly. However, if you are from out of town that may not be relevant.
Very nice 75 year old mother loved it. Sunset was awesome. Putting competition entertained her immensely. Prices very reasonable.
We were on our yearly Summer vacation from the Bay Area and wanted to see the Edgewood Resort and decided to ditch the family and have a little date night--and we're so happy we did. The ladies behind the bar were great and make an exceptional martini. We were then seated outside on the patio by a lovely fire feature and were greeted by our server who was charming, professional, and helped us with our dinner choices. The pastrami sandwich was delish, as were the street tacos. The resort is lovely to walk around, and is right on the Lake. Would highly recommend for a date night, lunch or a casual dinner. This is one of our new favorite places and will definitely be back.
Our first time to Edgewood Tahoe enjoyed it very much. Just a wonderful day overall the weather the club the food the service.
