The atmosphere is great and the decor is beautiful. We went there for brunch and were there for over an hour and we got one drink. Our waitress brought our food and one drink and never came back again to check on us. The only time she came back was to bring the check.

She never even came over to see if our waters needed refilling, which they did, since we never got any other drinks.

I was really disappointed in the experience, but I will try it again one more time. I’m hoping it was just an off day for them.

Yes, the popcorn is delicious and habit forming. We also enjoyed the cornbread with honey and Victoria's pizza. Definitely recommend and will return.

The food was excellent as usual but the service was the worst that we had experienced at the restaurant. The meals arrived after long after we had ordered and my mom’s meal was incorrect two different times. Our guest’s meal was incorrect also. There was no apology or acknowledgement from the server. Not a dealbreaker for future visits but definitely a bummer.

Wonderful place to go! We had a great cocktail to start with and shared lots of small plates bc we could decide what to choose from. Everything is so good. The service was great and we met the owner who is absolutely charming. We’ll be back very soon!

Usually our absolute favorite place in the neighborhood, but last night was a “miss” overall.

Took forever for our server to come by to take our drink order, then forever to get those drinks. He seemed overwhelmed and a bit flustered all evening.... something was off.

Then our meal just wasn’t up to par. We have had some really terrific food here but not last night. The Special was salmon - altho’ not very special - not very inspiring and the sides weren’t good. The All Kale Caesar salad was tasty but that silly tiny bowl has GOT to go — it’s ridiculous to serve a big salad in that manner - half fell on the table! Our guest was very frustrated with it. My Duck and Date salad was delish as always....no problems there.

With the noise, a wobbly table and stressed service, we skipped dessert and another drink in favor of another spot... too bad. We’ll be back again soon, and hope it was a fluke!

We went for dinner during Restaurant Week, and our service was great. We ordered off the Restaurant Week menu, getting bue carpaccio and Vietnamese meatballs for the first course. They were outstanding. The carpaccio was gluten free. For the main course, we had the chicken breast (gluten free) and lamb with couscous (not gluten free), and they were both better than the first course. I am usually a slow eater, but I took my time because I wanted to savor the food for as long as I could. For dessert, we had the gluten free carrot cake and the pumpkin cheesecake. The dessert was the perfect size after a filling meal. We also ordered a cocktail, but I cannot remember the name. I do, however, remember the taste; it was delicious and wintery.

We came to get together with old friends to catch up. It is a very friendly environment., liked the urban decoration, good ambiance. We were a little concerned about the noise if it will interfere with our conversations, but I am pleased to say that it wasn't. Our server was fast, considerate and very good communicator, the manager walked around and show true care about their customers.

We dine at Brooklyn Girl frequently, this time was for my daughters 21st birthday. There was six of us and we needed a place that had something for everyone. The service was great, food was delicious and the the noise level inside was perfect, we caould all talk and hear each other. Great night, within walking distance of our house!

An early New Year's Eve dinner. One of the few places without a pre fix menu. Drinks here are always excellent. My husband ordered Braised short run and I had Salmon stuff with crab. Both excellent. We also ordered their corn bread with a honey comb in top. So delicious! No room for dessert so we got carrot cake to go. Great experience.

We were there for brunch. I got the chicken and biscuits. You could barely cut the chicken. It tasted old - like it has been fried hours before then reheated in a microwave. However, the dish was cold when it was served. The biscuits were also dry and hard. One of my friends got the scramble and substituted the fruit plate for the smashed potatoes. $6 to substitute fruit is ridiculous! There is only a $3 difference on your sides menu, so why is that doubled to substitute it on an entree? Overall, very disappointed.

I found the menu options quite creative and eclectic from free popcorn to Viet Nam meatballs to crab salad that looks like a gigantic sushi roll. And it was all delicious. We also had their Brooklyn chocolate cake that was perfect - not gooey sweet, moist cake and pudding and I am not a pudding eater and it was just delicious.

This was our second visit here. I think the food is good and we will come back to try something else. The service is so so, I've had better. I think when we come for Sunday brunch we always seem to have the server that seems to have had a long night the night before. I don't think that speaks for all servers there from what I could see, just the ones we get. This time I ordered one of the daily specials which they were out of by Sunday at 11:45. So I got smoked salmon Benedict, which was good. Our son got the chicken and biscuits, which he loves, and my fiancee got the feta omelet, which was a little dry and the feta was over powering. I think the smashed potatoes are the best! I love the crispy outside and buttery flavor on the inside. I like how bright the restaurant is and the different kind of decor. I look forward to trying the lamb shank for dinner next time.

Good, solid restaurant in a nice neighborhood. It can be kinda loud at peak times, but that is overcome by a varied menu, excellent food, and an extensive wine list.

drove all the way from north county and was not impressed, my friend ordered her scrambled without potatoes and her scramble came with potatoes, waiter seemed new, we were told that there was an $6 uncharge for fruit instead of potatoes because of the hurricane??? we live in California the fruit was typical fruit you can get anywhere nothing exotic. i ordered traditional benedicts that were just mediocre, drinks were ok, definitely not worth the drive, not sure if they are more of a lunch/dinner place but they have major room for improvement for breakfast.
