Broginos Italian Restaurant
Food was tasty and a lot ... Drinks well made!
Service was slow at best ... don't expect to be greeted or acknowledged at the door.
They seem to be understaffed.
Their water glasses had dishwasher residue... not a good presentation for a restaurant.
Although the food was good, it's not a 2-hour type of meal.
My second visit but this time the food wasn’t as good as it was the first time. We arrived early and ordered soon after. The food lacked flavor, asparagus under cooked ( woody part still in take), and we were overall disappointed. I’m willing to try again only because our first visit it was fabulous
This is one of the gems in the South Bay. Our food service technician, Omar, is absolutely one of the best. Attentive, but doesn’t hover. Great personality. Everyone there seems to love their job. It makes it a much better dining experience. If your Italian grandmother was still making dinner for you, this is what it would taste like.
Decor is stuck in the, well, unexplainable era. But, it is exactly what you would expect. Just try it.
OMG!!! Love! Love! This place!!! Is like walking in Nona’s kitchen.. food delicious 😋 service outstanding!! You have to visit this place .. it’s unbelievable....
Went for the first time for a midweek casual meal based on word of mouth and social media ratings. Enjoyed the food and service. It's got a very old school dive bar meets mom and pop Italian pasta place. It had a quirky appeal. Food was solid. I was surprised, but not in a bad way, that the soup and salad courses were served family style and you plate yourself. Service was a little confusing with two or three guys serving our table. There was a couple duplicate servings. Overall, a nice new place for a casual meal.
Great neighborhood Italian restaurant with a surprisingly wide variety and well-prepared menu selections. If you have been there before, Michael and his friendly wait staff greet you by name and always make you feel comfortable.
Nice little resturant but Food lacked flavor. We tried the Shrimp Scampi, and Fettuccini Alfredo.
BROGINO'S NEVER FAILS TO MEET ALL EXPECTATIONS!!
As always, my experience at Brogino's this past Friday evening was outstanding!
The staff was its usual: friendly, attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, and just wonderful in every way! And the food, supercalifragilisticexpealidotious!!
Amazing food and great energy in the room. It is bustling but fun! All dishes are huge. You might want to share them.
The food was amazing and Michael always makes us feel so welcome. He does make a “Killer Martini”!
Make a reservation on a Saturday night. The line was out the door at 7pm on Saturday. Thankfully, I had made a reservation. We were taken to a table that was "cozy" near the rear of the restaurant. The servers/service is good when you can get them. It seems to me that they need one more bus person. We didn't receive water or the terrific garlic bread for about 10 minutes into the visit.
The Chicken Piccata was excellent and the side of spaghetti was more than one can eat. Though the soup that night was a little salty, it made it very tasty. Others in my party had the parmigania (sp?) scallops that were very good. The waiter, Omar, was happy to help and suggested a scallop scampi. If you order that, as for extra sauce.
The cherry dessert was just for everyone to grab a spoon or two.
Quite a varied menu with food well prepared. Difficult to get a table unless you have a reservation since it is a very popular place-
Only negative is tables are pretty small for 4. Food and service is great.
Perfect romantic date dinner. Easy reservations. Great food and good service. Great ambiance, especially at night. I would recommend this restaurant for a date night.
Fun atmosphere for this old school restaurant. The food and drinks were very good.
Thanks Omar for your personalized service! Love Brogino’s
Great pasta and martinis
Asked for a table and waitress sat a party of 6 that just walked in at the last table instead of saving for our reservation so we walked out it was my moms birthday very upsetting
The food needed to be hotter! It was served cool
Such a great restaurant. Definitely try it!
We’ve been there before often and it’s usually good. Last night the food and service were subpar.
Our waitress acted as if we were inconveniencing her throughout our meal, probably our fault - we were utterly thoughtless and asked for refills when our drinks were empty. The food was fine, decent - not good, not bad. My piccata was bathed in oil and tasted more of salt than anything else. The mozzarella appetizer was $13 dollars for three averaged sized sticks. We’ve walked past this restaurant dozens of times and we truly thought it would just be a cute homey neighborhood place where we could eat some good Italian food. We’ll unfortunately not be back.
Love these guys. Not enough adjectives to describe how terrific this restaurant is. Just go, you won't be sorry you did.
Can't pass up the martini's - or the lasagna. Bring a big appetite if you are ordering the "full meal"!
Started coming here in 1999, still the same awesome food and Chianti !!
The reservation didn’t matter. We arrived for our 7:15 reservation and were not seated until 7:50.
Food was good but it took over an hour to get our entrees.
The food was delicious! Got to try the the lasagna, spaghetti with meat sauce and the chicken scallopini, excellent choice, a lot of food. Will totally come back
Such a cozy family dining experience .
Good food and a lovely waiter.
One of my favorites! I eat here at least two to three times a month! Drinks are great too. If you like tequila, try the hot tini!
As always great food and service. Took my father there and had a great meal.
Tony, Michael and crew continue to maintain good value neighborhood presence with consistency and good service.
Excellent cocktails- extensive menu with personal touches.
Eggplant, cacciatore, full dinner with soup and salad.
Some things to improve
- atmosphere and facility- uodate from the ‘50s - old plastic graphs - bathrooms in need of refurb.
Just like an old comfortable eatery in need of a refresh.
Keep the family scene - clean it up
Been visiting Brogino's for years and always enjoy it. Dropped 1 star for service this time, but in all fairness it was really busy and everyone was working hard. Still the best martinis in town!
Always enjoy our dinner at Brogino’s. I wonderful place to get have a pleasant meal, nice service without the chaos of a chain. Enjoyed their dinner menu, which includes their house salad (greens with kidney beans and garbanzos), minestrone soup and entree’s. Entrees ordered were peppers and sausage, served with voice of pasta and manicotti. Both were superb!
Really like the service from the moment we walked in the door. Everyone there was very attentive to our needs as well as the other customers who were seated around us. Wish I would have found this place earlier. Great portions on the food and it was excellent.
Food excellent, ambiance excellent, Service excellent —we were in So California for a wedding and enjoyed our dinner at Brogino’s
Always outstanding food & service!! We love Brogino's and their staff!
Brogino’s did an exterior upgrade a few months ago and the mural looks great. Improvements have carried into the restaurant and the food preparation. The menu is the same, and seems prepared with far more attention and love. We always order full meal, which is served with minestrone soup and house salad. The soup was filled with more of everything. The salad has wonderful red beans and chick peas, set off by their distinctive (and delicious) house dressing. Entrees of manicotti and sausages & peppers were deliciously satisfying, fully drenched in meat sauce. Love the attention to everything. Enjoy.
