The family introduced their latest addition, an elegant two-story Brodard Chateau restaurant in 2006. You"ll ease right into this comfortable and stylish blend of Vietnamese and Art Deco ambiance with its inviting full bar frequented by a scene-savvy crowd. The kitchen offers daily specials of authentic refined Vietnamese cuisine as well as delectable Asian fusion dishes just perfect for this vibrant and ultra-cozy restaurant.
My 1st time to this delicious Vietnamese cuisine. What a great place. We ate a lot. Way to much but it was so good. Will definitely be back.
Their pork spring roll is a bomb. It's always perfect.
We wanted to try something new, not knowing too much about Vietnamese cuisine. We enjoyed trying new things, and would like to go again.
This place has great Vietnamese food at reasonable prices. Great replacement for me for S Vietnamese, which closed a couple of years ago.
The Ahi salad had a wonderful light, but very tasty dressing and the shrimp spring rolls were delicious. We also added Vietnamese Udon soup and had a wonderful meal for 2 people.
Service was very attentive, but not overbearing.
Highly recommend it and my friend and I will both be back soon.
Quick efficient and tasty
One of my favorite places to dine in OC. A meeting of East and West... both in terms of the food and the ambience. Extensive drink and food menu. Always has good buzz and energy.
Great place for a family Christmas dinner! Everything we ordered was delicious and even though the restaurant was packed, service was friendly and efficient.
Yummy! Food was great.
Outstanding food and service. Prices are so reasonable. We love bringing family here.
Incredible food. Great service. Can’t wait to go back many times to try all of the dishes.
The spring rolls are AMAZING!
Service and food were spectacular. The pork spring rolls are a must!
Appreciation and Christmas celebration for our ladies bible study group.
I chose Brodard Chateau by recommendation from the LA Times best restaurant list.
I was visiting from Seattle and was looking for excellent Vietnamese food; I found it at Brodard Chateau.
We had a nice time. The Shaken beef and duck salad was good. Pork spring rolls were a bit too chewy and garlic chicken with noodles needed vegetables. Other than that we will continue to go to the one on Brookhurst. That is our fAvorite but the noise level is higher and wait time often long.
Fast expedited appointment.
Great waiter kept vigilant in our needs. Ample parking. Clean restroom
My friend’s and I went this place for a friend’s birthday party. I wrote in the notes on Open Table that it was for a milestone birthday, however, no mention of a congratulations from the front hostess nor the severs. Some restaurants offer a free dessert or complimentary drink, however, this place must not offer those things. This was disappointing since the question was asked on the reservation if there was a special occasion. The food and service were very good but when we mentioned to the waiter that this was for a birthday, they did not bring out even a candle on the dessert that we asked for. Small details make a big difference in service and perception.
Great food, great drinks server was spot on with recommendations
A little disappointed with the dishes i got of the family meal menu. Bo luc lac was no where near the one you got from Vietnam. And i grew up from there until i was a teenager, so I definitely knkw what vietnamese food supposed to tasted like It was way too sweet. We also got thit kho and ca kho, they were well season but a bit more salty than it supposed to be. Got ong choy and it was sweet more than other flavor. We got nem cuon and duck cuon, they were okay. Overall i wasnt super happy with the food for the price I have to spend. First time in Socal and keep hearing so much about Brodard. Maybe I should go try the OG Brodard and give them another chance there!
Food was great! Servers were very helpful. Only real issue was the parking.
Excellent service, seated immediately, truly remarkable food - the duck spring rolls and shaken beef were wonderful. A+++ Will go again soon - this was our first visit.
Always enjoy Chateau Brodard... great good and drinks. We always let our server surprise us with one of their favorite dishes and we are never disappointed!
The service & appetizers were very good.
First course was excellent. Main course was terrible. Grizzly meat and way too much fat
The food is still good, but the ambience is more like regular Brodard"s during the lunch rush. Staff was rushed, no one checked back after bringing the food, we had to wait for the check,
Conversation wasn't even a possibility. We've eaten there several times before and always been very happy with our experience. This time was not great.
I’ve been dining here for years. Food and service always excellent. Everyone that I’ve ever brought here also enjoys it!
What a disappointment. Food was bland, oily and seafood scare in the seafood dishes. Vegetables didn't fast fresh and were haphazardly prepared. Service was attentive and the restrooms were clean, but beyond that I cannot think of any positives.
Wow. The food was fantastic--especially loved the vegetable rolls we had at the beginning. The staff were amazing and professional. I very much appreciated that our server was willing to turn down the music after we ate as I recorded a podcast interview with my lunch guest. The only reason I marked "moderate" for noise was because, when the kitchen door opens, you have a piece of equipment that roars pretty loudly--but that probably can't be helped! The ambience was great, thought the statuary was beautiful and loved the warm feel of both the bar and the restaurant. I will come back and bring my husband! And oh, those pistachio macarons! (Keep me away from those or I'll gain twenty pounds!)
Delicious, fresh, great service, local patrons. So. So. Good.
The food is amazing but we were distracted the whole meal bc sitting next to us was a family whose children were watching a movie on an ipad . The sound was on full blast so we couldn't carry on a conversation. We asked the waiter to ask them to use ear buds but we never saw him approach the table. It ruined our meal .
Always great food and wonderful service. Best place for parties.
Amazing food, drinks and staff!! Victoria the bartender was incredible.
Wow! We frequent pho in Little Saigon but this menu knocked our socks off. The shaken beef was delicious- our waiter suggested it and it was incredible as was the wonton soup,Hanoi pork and garlic chicken noodles. It’s a cool rustic space with lots of large tables and was perfect for our group of 8. I can’t wait to go back again.
Food is always delicious. Service is always on point. Atmosphere is perfect. My favorite place to eat for any occasion!
Food and service was great
food was great. service in the end needed some improvement. No details will be provided, as the evening was on a Saturday.
The quality of foods were not the same as once were. Minimal herb was used in the chicken salad; Vietnamese coriander is must for this disk. Will not come back again.
Great experience. Highly recommend
Excellent food and service. Went at lunch time and there were many families with children. Noise level was reflective the numbers of children in the restaurant. Very good overall experience.
Made a reservation here for my Wedding rehearsal dinner for 20 guests. It was nice because you could place your order ahead of time and they can give you an estimate of how much food to order. However, we were told we would get seated upstairs and it would be more private but when we got there, they just straight up said no and we were sat in a room with a long table setting with other diners. Also, we were charged and served an extra dish we didn’t order. And I’m not sure what happened, maybe they cooked in large batches, but we had 5 plates of the fried calamari and one of the plates had maybe 10 pieces on it at most. It was significantly less than all the other ones. I would have let them know but I did not find out until someone showed me a picture afterwards. The ambiance was still nice for an Asian restaurant and the food was pretty good too.
