We were so disappointed as we had a reservation for 9:30am and they didn’t open until 10:00. We waited at Starbucks and walked around but when I mentioned this to the hostess, she said thy had changed the hours but never updated their website! You would think they would’ve compensate d us somehow but never even apologized.
Service was poor and slow. Soup took a long line time to come and have to ask to check on it. Afterwards our entrees also took a long time to arrive. My order of bbq ribs was like 4 pieces of blackened dried out meat smothered with bbq sauce. And my husband’s prime rib was cold. I quessed it must have been sitting at the kitchen counter for a while. We won’t be coming back!
Always dependable with great entertainment. A neighbor favorite.
Pros:
- Reservation available and easy to make
- Parking easy for a Sunday afternoon
- Wait staff pleasant
- LIVE MUSIC
Cons:
- Not informed via website nor reservation app that only brunch was offered and not menu items. Disappointed to find this out only when we walked in the door.
- Cost of brunch not worth quality of food, overall experience, bottomless mimosas (even with value sparkling wine). Bill was almost $400 for 4 people. Rip off.
- Hostess at front not so welcoming
- We were seated at a table w no napkins / utensils. Had to ask for them.
- Atmosphere chaotic.
- Flow of brunch lines confusing and not organized/clear
We weren’t notified that they were serving brunch buffet only. While the food was tasty, it was overpriced, especially the kids’ meals. It didnt even include coffee or any drinks.
Service was even more disappointing but we were charged their standard 20% because we were a big group. The place was not full yet servers were inattentive. We had to keep requesting for water, cuttlery, etc. Also, i went through 7 dirty dinner plates (stacked on the buffet line). I has to ask them to bring out a clean one. Even the extra coffee cup they brought me later on was dirty and i had to request a replacement from a different server.
The upside was the entertainment.
Great live music
My 4th time eating at Broadway Grill. Although the food was excellent as usual, it was freezing!!! Apparently they had been working on the heating system, but it was still really cold in the restaurant. And it wasn't that cold outside! Our server was ok this time, usually waiters here are great. But he wasn't up on the menu (what kind of fish is Basa and where does it come from?). He mentioned he'd been bone for 2 weeks, so not familiar with it. He should have checked with the kitchen! Other than that, we enjoyed the variety of the live music upstairs - good choice of songs and good singing voice. Might turn the speakers down just a tad, though, but had nothing to do with the music! Just would have made it easier to hear the conversation. Will come back, but will make sure they fix the heating system first!
The server was so kind, attentive and let us stay and converse for so long. My sliver of salmon was a bit pricey though!!
Entertainment was way too loud for conversation. Loved the booth.
Very pleasant experience
I returned after a few years (business travel) and was pleased to find the same classic food and ambiance. I enjoyed the live singer a lot...a nice Dean Martin stylist...
While the food was good, the live trio was a real bonus treat.
Such a joykill when you're celebrating & your server neglects your table. Probably because they auto 20% gratuity on large tables. On top of that she doubled the gratuity and tried to correct me when I pointed it out. Too bad cuz the food and entertainment were very good
So disappointed. Came here on a special occasion Saturday night, looking forward to good food and music. The latter was decent. No continuous sets of music though, just when they decided to play. Moving on. We ordered the corn bread and calamari, both good, tasty. Our entrees are a different story. We ordered the ribeye steak and a new york. I truly feel we could've had a better steak at the local pancake house. Dry, tough and 1/3 of the steaks weren't palatable-fat and nerve mostly. The chimichurri sauce saved the meal and made choking down the tasteless, cardboard meat easier. We didn't bother with dessert. Couldn't get out of there fast enough. Do yourself a favor and skip it. You really can get just as good, if not better (and cheaper), somewhere else.
We love going to BG, as we call it .
They sat us at the back booth very close
to the kitchen as there was no other available tables .
Even tho, We had made a RESERVATION.
A TERRIBLE BOOTH.
They have tried to sit us there before.
This booth needs to BE REM0VED.
So noisy, waitstaff almost running into you.
And smells coming from the kitchen.
I saw a messy kitchen with lettuce on the floor.
Thank good our waitress was awesome.
Loved the Petite Filet Minon. Had the prime rib before, excellent. So tender!
We have since moved from Burlingame, but we usually frequent the Broadway Grill when in town. We know we can count on the food and service, and some extra fun on the weekends.
The food was not good, but not great. Big menu. My husband's medium-rare steak was cooked properly, as was my seared ahi tuna. There are three giant screen TVs, which is distracting, unless you are there to watch sports. There was a guy dressed up as Dean Martin, complete with (fake) cigarette and martini, who wandered among the tables lip-synching to recorded music that was a bit too loud. We didn't find him entertaining. I guess if you enjoy that sort of thing, this might be a good place to go. Service was good.
The French Onion soup tasted like the onions were burned. We sent it back. The clam chowder was only warm and relatively tasteless. We could have gotten better from a can. The coconut shrimp appetizer was not good either. It had been overheated to the point where the shrimp meat was breaking down.
The service wasn’t good either. For example, we had to ask for bread and to have the extra silverware removed. The appetizer was served after the soup. The little things do matter.
We’ve had good food there in the past but over the years the quality of the food and service has steadily declined. Rather than the gimmicks of garish, attention getting outside lighting and signage as well as the too loud music inside why not focus on just having great food and great service? I would come back for that but not as things are now.

Reserved this for my parents for Valentine’s Day and they weren’t too happy with the night.
Food: Steak wasn’t cooked as ordered (mentioned to the waiter) and the broccolini was over done and charred (also mentioned). Sent the steak back and got back a significantly smaller piece. The restaurant also ran out of bread and didn’t provide any until the end of service.
Service: The waiter disregarded most requests except for the steak request.
I should have tried the restaurant before booking it for my parents. My mistake. The good part was that they had reservations a day before Valentine’s Day but I guess I know why now. I’m willing to give it a shot myself though.

MANAGEMENT READ THIS
Well, since you asked... I found the management to be over authoritative. I got a heavy-handed call to confirm my reservation, asking for my credit card and a reprimanding tone that if I didn’t comply with their cancellation policy I’d get charged 25 per person if it didn’t show up.
When I did, I wasn’t greeted with friendly hostess, but skeptical unfriendly hostess looking for holes in my story trying to prevent me from being a patron of the establishment. Why?
We brought bottle of wine, and the server was like “so you want glasses for this?” No, we just want to drink from the bottle …
I whiteness a long conversation with a woman and previously mentioned hostess about a reservation and woman eventually stormed out. Obviously frustrated and unable to enjoy her Valentine’s Day. There was room walk ins not every table was filled at 6:30.
What’s the point of trying to make everyone miserable??
The food is good but over priced. The music/entertainment is passé.
Happy Valentine’s Day…
I wish I would’ve known about sitting upstairs, and when I asked to sit upstairs, I was told no because I didn’t request it... maybe next time.. but the food and service was great
The food was great , service great , but I was charged for a more expensive wine that I did not ask for , I specifically remember the wine I asked for , when the bill came it was not that wine and it was $3 more then the one I wanted , also wasn’t aware of the entertainment fee , which was $5 a person
My wife and I went to Broadway Grill for date night and couldn't have been more pleased. Service was superb, the drinks were amazing, the menu is quite varied, and the food was delicious. To top it off, live music started right around 7pm that added a fun and vibrant twist to the evening. My five-star rating across all categories is spot-on! I cannot think of one not so positive thing to say about this restaurant.
We'll be back!
my water glass had lipstick from a previous user. when i questioned the waitress, she said she would get me another glass.
we were bothered by fruit flies during dinner.
We had a very enjoyable meal in which we split the caprese salad and the St. Louis ribs. More than enough food for two. Our server, Ryan, was very attentive and made the meal that much more enjoyable.
Fabulous live Motown music every Monday night and dinner too. Can’t be beat!
Bar could use some help drinks were not great. Food was okay but not outstanding
I had the prime rib they need to know what rare is I asked for rare and got medium rare
The service was great and that is what saved the experience
The garlic rolls and Prime rib were to die for. Cannot say much for anything else. We arrived at 6pm, when the restaurant was not busy at all. Our seating had napkins but no cutlery. We ordered prime rib each. The waiter did not ask if we wanted any soup or salad, so we shrugged our shoulders and let our orders stand. After we ate our prime ribs (but left the baked potato alone, because it was cold), the waiter came back with a platter of yummy garlic rolls. The waiter said, "here are some rolls." That solved our mystery over why bread was not served initially. We lived in Burlingame for over 25 years, and now know why we have never felt comfortable trying this restaurant.
Love everything about Broadway Grill!! Yummy
The food and service was excellent. Great verity of menu options and great wines.
We enjoyed are brunch. I was disappointed that my Omelete had raw ingredients inside, I assumed all omelets have their ingredients sautéed before placing in the cooked egg, wasn’t satisfying.
We actually went to this restaurant by accident...... we were originally going to the one down the street with the similar name. Luckily we were quickly seated and were able to enjoy the live band while water and bread was brought to the table. The bread is fantastic and addicting!!!
I ordered a Martini for my wife (traditional, straight up, extra dirty with (2) olives) and I ordered the same but on the rocks. The Martinis were terrific!!
Soup and salad came out quickly and were delicious. Our order was taken promptly and delivered nice and hot.
My wife ordered the Prime Rib with veggies. The Prime Rib was tender, juicy and not too fatty and had great flavor and feel. The veggies looked good and the baked potato seemed good but a bit lonely with no sour cream nor scallions :-l but overall good and cooked well.
I was torn between two different Salmon dishes and when asked, the waiter recommended the lighter of two dishes. I'm glad he did....... The Salmon Panzanella was delightful!!! The salmon was very fresh and cooked till flaky while is sat on a bed of tomatoes, Mediterranean olives, basil pesto, champagne vinaigrette and edamame & crostinis. I accompanied it with an Oyster Bay New Zealand Chardonnay which complimented it very nicely.
For desert we split a Xangos banana desert with a sweet cream cheese and it was very good and not too sweet. I finished the evening with a double espresso and a bill that was not too bad (wifey picked up the tab :-* ).
Overall we would definitely go back when in the area. Btw..... use Open Table. When we originally called they had nothing open (Saturday night), but Open Table had a table open for us. ;-)
Broadway Grill is an amazing experience, great service and outstanding food. Cajun Rib eye!!!
Motown Monday, live music , Preston and Pure Estacy are exciting!
Owner Nick Bovis, was very welcoming!
A must go for dining.
My wife and I love the Broadway Grill. We have been going for years, The entertainment is great, it's our first choice for out of town guests, and so fun for all celebrations. The food is always delicious, including their desserts, and the service is excellent. We have never been disappointed. Thank you Broadway Grill!
Exceptional dinner and service. A bit noisy but overall very satisfied.
Ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms. Over cooked and salty. Both my wife and I ordered steak. Both over cooked and dry. Best part of the meal was the free bread. We were able to get kid coverage, saved money to go out on an early New Years date and we were completely disappointed and felt like we waisted a great amount of money.
The food and service was very good! The atmosphere was festive and pretty making for the whole experience a very pleasant event.
I went there with my family to celebrate a birthday. We usually have a local joint we go to but decided to try this place for a change. We have had a lot of dining experience with steakhouse restaurants, so I can honestly say that Broadway Grill prices are very reasonable. The food was outstanding, prices were affordable, noise was quiet, seating arrangements very good.
The only thing that I had a difficulty dealing with was the wait staff; they weren’t bad but they weren’t good either. I had to request for refills, and the dessert menu we also had to ask to order it. I understand that our visit was the day after Christmas, so there was a chance that they were understaffed.
Even though the food, prices, ambience and location were great, the wait staff failed to meet my expectations. Since it was my first visit after 2-3 years, i’ll come back for a better experience.
We went for the Christmas decor and the prime rib. We were not disappointed. But the web page needs to reflect that they close between lunch and dinner as we were there a little early due to circumstances and had to go to another store to remain warm. However, worth the wait.
Broadway Grill was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The Christmas Tree must be 30 feet tall with beautiful decorations and shooting stars. Our waiter was so delightful and attentive. The prime rib and the steak were perfectly cooked and so tasty. The baked potato was the only disappointment of the night. It was over-cooked and dry and not very attractive. The taste was bland too, not enough butter, sour cream, bacon bits or cheese.
The entertainment was not the regular band with Preston, so that was a little disappointing. The replacement band was good with good singing voices but none of the enthusiasm and entertaining value that Preston has.
We had a wonderful evening and would definitely go again. The booths are very comfortable. The waiter did not rush us.
