Very professional staff. It was quite load there but that’s a minor detail. The food was quality and very tasty
A great place for gathering with friends. Good choice for the Edgewater area.
As usual, such a great experience.... We left full and happy!
The bottomless bloody Mary’s weren’t good, service was rushed
Great service. Chuck is fantastic. My friends try and get together once a month for Sunday Brunch and have always had a great experience. Awesome food and not expensive.
The wait staff were fabulous! The food was exceptionally good. Love the bottom less mimosa.
Let me tell you about our waiter. His name was Chuck and the experience was great because of Chuck. Super funny, attentive and he was the added bonus this restaurant needed to make Valentine’s Day extra special. We tried some food that the restaurant normally doesn’t make, surf and turf. I don’t want this review to turn anyone away you should absolutely go here and eat, but I’m not sure I’ll be ordering anything off the speciality menu again. Ill be going back as long as Chucks our waiter.
Overall , everything was fine.
Some one needs to address the lighting in the central section of the restaurant. It was painful— too bright!!!!
1st time at this place. It was really busy so I would suggest reservations, especially for brunch. A bit loud because of the high ceilings but it was a good atmosphere for 2 people or 10 people. Bottomless mimosas are always a draw, only feedback is they pre-mix I to a pitcher so it wasn’t always cold and too much Oj. Looking forward to going back to try the lunch or dinner menu
Love this place! Comfortable and delicious!
As usual, great experience. Delicious food, friendly welcome and service. Great mimosas. I will be back!
Solid casual go to for brunch and dinner great food and a good price.
Our first visit was a very pleasant surprise from start to finish. Nice menu for carnivores and vegetarians. Friendly atmosphere and good service. The wine list struck the perfect balance between offering a range of options without overwhelming. Staff was mindful of our dining time/theater time, helping us to enjoy both parts of the evening out. We are definitely going to return. Highly recommended.
Excellent, wide choice of items. The infusion of items to the main course was just right - not too overpowering, just a subtle hint. As an example, I had the bleu cheese meatloaf. Just the right amount of the bleu cheese. Great portion size - the green beans and mashed potatoes served with the meatloaf were fresh and obviously just made.
We visited for brunch, Excellent service and great food
This was a good value. Had nice drink specials. Food was good. I’d come back here again.
Chips and guacamole were good. Tacos carne asada tough. Enjoyed the cocktails.
We had a terrific business meal, Prix Fix menu was 3 courses for $23 and wine pairings were wonderful. Five hearty scientists left completely satisfied, wonderful place to have a business discussion...can get noisy at times but Wednesdays are awesome.
My all time favorite restaurant for brunch! The staff is amazing, the food is amazing and the mimosas are also on point! I’ve been here many times and today was the one time i had a slight disappointment with the food. My eggs were cold in the benedict i ordered. Other than that everything was top notch per usual👍
Having been going there for several years. It's an excellent neighborhood restaurant where diverse groups of people gather. Their New Yr's Eve special meal was the best meal I've had in years. Their special meals offered, like $5 Hamburgers, or Wine Tasting dinners, are always top notch. The creative, efficient, friendly owners and staff keep us coming back!
My few girlfriends got together here for Sun brunch. Parking was a bit complicated but we all found spaces. We loved the $10 bottomless mimosas though they were mostly orange juice. It was nice that the wait staff walked around with pitchers refilling everyone's glasses. We all enjoyed our meals but our two gluten-free friends didn't have many options. I loved my egg and bbq beef burrito and my other non-gluten-free friend enjoyed her smoked salmon benedict. The place was definitely bustling so it's best to have a reservation (which we did). Oh, and we shared the biscuits and gravy, recommended by the waiter. Delish!
Nice place great $10 bottomless mimosas and good food
Wonderful meal with four friends, quiet and nice for serious conversation and for humorous stories. Warm and welcoming with live Jazz guitar on Tuesdays, their bar is really wonderful for a chill "step up" experience over most neighborhood places. Definitely reminds me of a classic wine bar, with creative cocktails and thoughtful beer selection. Not to be missed in Rogers Park.
By far one of Chicago’s best
This is my second time here. I went to brunch with the family that was in town. The service was really nice, they were all quite nice and the food was great. The portion sizes are large and filling - my sisters and mom had the crab cakes, which they said were more "wet" than they'd like, but everything else was really good. I can't wait to return for brunch with friends!
Great service and delicious food
We were a group of twelve and every single member of our group raved about their experience at Broadway Cellars. Our server handled our group like a pro and everyone enjoyed their meal and cocktails, along with the reasonable pricing. Thank you for making our recommendation to eat here and dining pleasure for all. Happy Holidays!
Mike and Kim Horvath
This was my second visit and just as pleasant as the first. We both had the special, steak and frites. Expertly prepared with a delicious glazed sauce. Cooked medium rare as requested. My sister wanted mashed as a substitute and they were glad to oblige. They were prepared just right with the perfect amount of lumps so you know they’re the real deal. I will definitely return again when I’m in Chicago.
Nice and varied brunch menu. I had the pasta carbonara, which was excellent, and the bottomless mimosa - tasty and an excellent value. Our server was excellent, as always.
The food and service were both very good. The restaurant was fairly busy for a Sunday night but there was no wait and thankfully it was quiet allowing for great conversation.
Unfortunately we were there during a school fundraiser, so it was quite loud, but the food was great and the service was good too
Great Service, Good Food and warm smiles. Reasons why we love Broadway Cellars
Great neighborhood hang out for good drinks and good food.
Have been there numerous times and this visit was disappointing.
casual menu far more friendly than the previous menu. new favorite
Dinner started off great but ended poorly. We met friends for dinner before a production at nearby Rivendell Theatre, arriving 2.25 hours before curtain and notifying the restaurant when making the reservation that we had 8 pm tickets. The restaurant partners with Rivendell and offers a discount to ticket holders, so it should be used to this situation. We were greeted warmly, even given a map to guide us when walking to the restaurant. Our drinks, starters and entrees were nice -- loved the blue cheese meatloaf. We finished these with plenty of time to spare for dessert and coffee, but after waiting 20 minutes for 1 dessert to share, we had to cancel, track down someone to bring us our bill and then pay as we stood by the door ready to dash out. We barely made it in time for the performance.
I got the bottomless mimosas and the breakfast steak and eggs. The food was really great and every time I looked up my glass was filled lol. I would recommend this cute little place for indoor or outdoor dining. Thumbs up!!
Service is informed and accommodating. Food choices are varied and specials also are good. Creative cocktail list, good beer selection. TABLECLOTHS!! YEA, finally, a restaurant that is doing something to reduce noise and enable conversation. I think I will make it a rule to not patronize restaurants whose pics on OpenTable do not show tablecloths.
My favorite neighborhood spot! Owners Tom and Geri not only serve up great food and wine, but are great members of the community. The food is always interesting, but not overly fussy. They also have great wine dinners every month or two with always on-spot pairings.
OLD friends had great relaxed late lunch outside &, as always, the food & welcome were great.
While the side, outdoor dinning is straight forward, we had attentive service & a wonderful visit al fresco.
