Place was packed for Father's day - we had reservations - we were seated within minutes, wait staff was warm, inviting and delightful. Bloody Mary's were excellent, had the feel of a sports bar without the fan yelling and screaming - the food was excellent and high variety. Wonderful time and am going back!!!

We had great service and the food was very good. My only complaint is that there aren't that many gluten free options for breakfast, especially for kids. I would love to see gluten free waffles or pancakes as an option, or at the very least some gluten free bread for toast.

Father’s Day Brunch!

The place was bustling. We got seated at a small high top table which was kind of a bummer. Our server was very attentive and the food arrived quickly. The pre-meal donuts were also a hit.

I’ll be back! Just maybe on a less busy day :)

So we were in the area and looking for a place to eat - in the Pearl District there are several really cool and trendy places to eat but most were already pretty full. I was able to book a reservation at Brix though and must say our overall experience was very good. The food and server we had both were very good. The ribeye I ordered was nice and tender but a little bland. My girlfriend ordered the Halibut and it was superb.

The only reason I am giving it only 4 stars is the experience we had when we first got there. I have always believed that it is key to greet customers quickly when they enter your establishment but we weren't. We waited several minutes before being acknowledged (they had a "please wait to be seated" sign by the way) even though at least three employees saw us. I realize to some this isn't a huge deal but even if you are busy a quick "welcome we'll be right with you" takes virtually no time and makes customers more comfortable. They weren't that busy by the way.

Regardless it was still a good experience and a place I would return too.

This was my second time to Brix Tavern. Both dining experiences (one brunch and one dinner) were pretty fantastic. The service was wonderful and the staff overall were pleasant and seemed to be enjoying themselves. The food for both visits was stellar. Sound in there can get a bit loud, but I think that's a function of the open space and industrial decor - which is well done btw.

Our favorite go to restaurant. Consistently good food and service. Ordered prime rib sandwich and chicken panini. Tomato basil soup is fabulous. Senior date night. Also great for brunch— Bloody Mary with bacon garnish and those “oh so delish” donuts while you wait for your entree.

Food and drink was good as usual but I had to ask for my donuts (that I've always received immediately every other time I've gone there) and the server was not as warm as the other servers I've had there. There was no negative experience but the service was bare bones and there was only 2 of us (1 was visiting from out of town so the service was not as high as I was selling to my friend). I've gone in big groups before and have had wonderful service.

I’ve eaten at Brix before and this time went before heading over to the Timbers game. If this was my first time, I would not return. The food is good (Brix Chips are amazing) but the service was AWFUL. I recognize when it’s dinner and busy because of the game but we waited an exceptionally long time for everything. Also, the tables are so close together different servers were bumping my chair through the whole meal. Everyone was friendly but it took forever. I’d go back for the bar before a game, but dinner was a mess.

I was very surprised to have a very rude server. It's bad customer service to tell customers they have a time limit to hurry and eat their food because of another reservation. Hopefully she was having a bad day but not acceptable.

Good food, fun atmosphere but a bit loud for casual conversation. Mimosas were good for brunch as well.

Bottomless Mimosas are a must for brunch here! Only $9 for a nice strong mimosa. Gave us large portions and we couldn't even finish it. Everything on the menu sounded great and both things we ordered were very yummy.

Service was excellent. Food was good. Roasted brussel sprouts , caprese salad, rotisserie chicken and 14 oz prime rib. I'm over the "smoked" meat thing even though it was done to the perfect temperature. Roasted prime rib would have been perfect

I got the prime rib. The flavor was not good and 60% of my prime rib was tough and dry to where I couldn't eat it! The waitress took our plates but then made us wait 30 mins to pay. She had our credit card in her pocket and started waiting on other tables for 20 mins and I had to eye her down for her to bring us our check. The veggies were not cooked or warm. They were as hard as they would be eaten fresh with a weird lemon on it. Our fondue bread was stale and hard. I wouldn't recommend.

Went for brunch for my wife’s birthday with a 2.5 year old and a 3-month old. Service was fast, and as always, the food was amazing. Love their Brix Chips (order it every time), and their chicken fried chicken was delicious. Everyone left satisfied and in a good mood.

This is always a “must stop” whenever we are in Portland. We always take people with us and no one is ever disappointed in what they order. It’s a crowd favorite. The menu is inventive and the atmosphere is fun. Service is great.
Group faves include: Brix Chips, chicken tacos, fried chicken and mashed potatoes (the mashed potatoes are unreal), wedge salad, all the flavored real lemonades...we could go on and on. (And the cheese fondue with bread is heaven on a dish)

Brix Tavern is the best place to have brunch in Portland. The mimosas are bomb and the price is just right. We went on a Saturday morning at 9:45 and it was relatively quiet. The portions were incredibly good for the price. The shrimp and grits was amazing. I got the Brix waffle which was sooo yummy. I definitely recommend this place! Best place in Portland!

We ordered our food and it came in a good amount of time but we had three different servers. Not one of them came to refill our drinks and I never received a drink I ordered. When we were sat down there was no response from that person about who are server was going to be or when she will see us. I had a baby and they never offered me a booster or a high chair I had to ask for one. I understand it was busy but all tables around us were getting there drinks filled and questions answered. When we did ask for our server it was poor attitudes from them. Like we were in convincing them.
