Ideal for large groups, the menu features seasonal, global-inspired tavern fare, extensive craft beer offerings and original handcrafted cocktails.
Early and late happy hours keep guests glued to their seats as they get caught up on the latest sports games airing all around the restaurant, and the daily food and drink specials keep locals and visitors alike coming back again and again.
And have you heard the talk about brunch? Those donuts though.

Food always on point, means good, and i'm very pleased with the bubbles for every bite. Keep it up
Time: 7:50 - 8:75 (~57 mins wait time)
The waiter that assigns customer seating was extremely rude and unprofessional. She rolled her eyes when I asked her a question about a "wait time" estimation. She proceeded to seat everyone else except for the minority folks. We waited for 57 minutes after making a reservation at 8:00 PM. We left sad and disappointed.
I understand it was a holiday and you were busy but I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for 15 years now and worked thanksgivings and Christmases and we NEVER got so backed up that people who made reservations weeks before has to wait a minimum of one hour for their table. From my experiences all the food is made that morning or the day before and reheat on thanksgiving and everything is held hot. I get how it got so backed up. Because it was only two of us we ended up eating at the bar, which was very uncomfortable and people kept coming up so close to us to order drinks. It felt like we had no privacy cause the next thing you know there would be someone in your face trying to get the bartenders attention.
The food was mediocre. The greens tasted like nothing, the stuffing was dry, mash potatoes were super lumpy, cranberry sauce tasted like lemon juice. The turkey was a little dry but they dredge it in gravy. I also hoped they would give you a slightly more even portion of light and dark meat. And the sweet yams were just roasted yams. Nothing on it to give it flavor.
It was hard for me to pay for that meal considering the food wasn’t good and the experience overall was even worse.
We were seated over an hour after our reservation and our steaks were the worst we have ever had in our life.
We came in for our thanksgiving reservations only to find a room full of waiting people and no idea on when we might get our table. Not sure if they severely over booked or if diners lingered but with a young kid in tow we could not wait the 45min-1hr past our reservation time.
Went to Brix for our Thanksgiving dinner. It was FANTASTIC! Great meal and lots of options. Had the Mushroom Wellington, hubs had the Prime Rib. Recommend it!!
Servers were great making the best of poorly organized plan by management. Having to wait over an hour to be seated when you have a reservation is unacceptable, just poor execution. Men's restroom was a mess. Again, just poor planning or lack of it. Manager, open your eyes. Don't just run in circles. Walk around your restaurant, look for problems and solve them!
Had a great thanksgiving and would definitely do it again next year!
Thansgiving meal was good, but the place was too crowded. Had to wait to sit down even with reservations. Not relaxing at all.
Went for Thanksgiving dinner. Great meal and great service. Our server Christopher made the experience even better.
Came for Thanksgiving dinner and loved everything! It was my first time visiting Portland and I felt very at home with my sister when we couldn’t be home. Would love to come back!
Service was lovely, the menu was very nice for the Thanksgiving meal. The prime rib was good, my husband's was perfect but mine was mostly fat. The appetizer platter was very tasty, the salad was good, but the sides came out somewhat predictably a little dry and lukewarm (mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans -dried out). The dessert was great, a very nice pecan pie, and the cocktails were excellent. $100 for two, including two drinks. Our server was bubbly and charming.
The food was great and our waiter Chris made our pregame experience very enjoyable.
Service was good
Food was not good. Poached eggs were cold. My friends also were not impressed with their eggs, and chicken fried steak was bland. The ambience was good, and the setup itself is good at the restaurant.
Boozy brunch is totally worth $9.50 for the bubbles, just please don't try to take advantage. I'd hate for them to have to stop offering it because people can't be responsible adults. Food is great, service is great - this is always one of my go-tos for brunch downtown!
Happy hour food items list is extensive and a great value. Timely and enthusiastic service. Very satisfying food and reasonably good selections for vegetarians.
I've been to Brix several times now. Great happy hour menu and great dinner menu. Love the space. Food is very good.
This was an incredible brunch experience! Our server was very attentive and the food was wonderful. We will be booking again very soon and my boyfriend even requested to get reservations for his next birthday brunch... in March!!! Excellent establishment.
Had a large group in PDX for the weekend and was looking for a brunch that offered reservations. Brix was a fantastic fit. Our server was terribly kind and accommodating; just the right amount of attentive. Had a hard time selecting from the menu as everything sounded creative and tasty. And our food was fantastic! And for a group of 7, came out promptly. The shrimp and grits was delightful with perfectly done eggs. Benedicts were creative and flavorful. The thyme maple syrup for the chicken and waffles is wonderful. Will be back for sure next time we are in town
We always enjoy Brix Tavern. Friendly neighborhood vibe.
Good food at reasonable prices.
Fun atmosphere, live music
Pleasant evening out
The food was amazing. I will definitely be going back for their great breakfast foods.
Never been served cold poached eggs before. The veggie Benedict should be avoided. And perhaps all avocados if out of season. The place was loud And boozy like a sports bar. A bad choice for taking grandma.
The building is beautiful but food was meh. Biscuits and gravy was underwhelming and bland.
Had to wait 15 minutes despite reservation. But once we were sat, service came surprising quickly given how busy they were for brunch. Food and drinks were great! Complimentary donuts were much appreciated!
We were seated in a back corner at a round table which was absolutely perfect for our party of 8. The brunch hours are bustling at Brix but our server, Ellie, was always on top of refilling our beverages and was very kind and courteous. A memorable surprise 50th bday party for my friend. ❤️
Lovely brunch. Love the free donuts too!
Brix is always fantastic!
Flip Night victory always leads to a raving review 😌
Fun and relaxing
Great place if you need to make reservations for Saturday brunch. Very loud. Not many vegetarian/vegan options and be specific about not having bacon in your Bloody Mary. Best truffle mac & cheese I’ve ever had.
I love coming to Brix, but yesterday felt like they were under staffed or way too. One item brought to the table was not ours, someone’s toast never made it, water refills were not as timely as would have been preferred. But it’s all good we still had a great time
Everything was great! Food, cocktails and service
I had a reservation for 11:45am. I arrived about 5 minutes early. The place was busy and there were 4 people waiting to be sat. I checked in and was told it would be a few minutes. After 10 minutes, and then sitting the 4 walk-ins, I asked about my table and reservation. The guy said “I’m trying”. Meanwhile, there were numerous empty tables in the back of the restaurant. I told him I can’t wait much longer as we had a 1pm cooking class. They finally sat us after the noon hour, you guessed it...in one of the many empty tables in the back of the restaurant! Why couldn’t you just sit us there 20 minutes ago?! The managing host needs to be prepared and look out for reservations. This one was not. I could have walked in off the street and been seated faster.
Everything else was consistent as usual and service was good.
Nice ambiance, good food, good service. It wasn't mind blowing, or worth a 90 minute wait.... but it was tasty and a good experience! :)
We had 30 people for brunch and the restaurant was incredible. They gave us a separate room for our family. The waitress was amazing. The food was awesome and the endless mamosas we amazing. My family was really impressed with everything. Cudos to them
Lively spacious spot in a great neighborhood. We lucked into the happy hour menu before an event: lots of great choices very reasonable. Fun craft cocktails, shared plates, small bites. Attentive and friendly server let us all have separate checks. Will definitely return!
Great food and drink, excellent staff. Bartender was kind enough to fashion me a splint from a finger injury earlier in the day and also chatted video games with us. One of my favorite spots in Portland.
