Brix Restaurant and Wine Bar
Fantastic experience. Our server (Kayla?) was very polite, knowledgeable, and attentive. The hosting team did a great job handling changes to our reservation. The food was decadent and tasteful, very creative pairings and great bold flavor. Would recommend to anyone in the Flagstaff area.
What a lovely restaurant! The wait staff were so warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The cocktail I had was excellent and the dishes were creative and delicious. We stuck to the small plates, and the kale salad and scallops were especially great. My daughter and I were driving across the country and this restaurant was certainly one of the highlights.
My friend and I were not very hungry when we went in but ended up having the yummy cheese board, pasta, crispy chicken confit and desserts: all small plates recommended by our server who was so helpful. The restaurant was quiet and charming. I’ve eaten there often and have never been disappointed. A favorite.
Amazing cheeseboard, scallops, and duck.
Excellent service from our waiter Daniel. Some of the best we have ever had. Friendly, professional, but not intrusive. Absolutely delightful.
Great experience . Very knowledgeable and personable server, Chelsea. They were very helpful when I had quirky request ( asked to move tables mid - meal ) . Great meal and great experience
Creative and unique food; knowledgeable and customer friendly service; and, while pricey, worth it.
Excellent place to get together with friends.
Arrived about 30-min early and were seated in the perfect 2-top on patio! Shared a kale salad which was perfectly dressed (not too much). Entrees included a pasta and the pork chop both were outstanding although I think we favored the pork chop. Brix is a new Flag fav!!
Sat at the bar. Friendly bartender. Fun to watch cocktails being made. 2 pasta dishes were delish - Bolognese and the cavatelii. The butterscotch pot de creme for dessert- yum. Charcuterie was $$$.
Delicious food and creative delights! Service is top notch and super thoughtful!!
As always Brix does not disappoint! The food is excellent and prepared with an artistic flair. The service is always impeccable and professional. Above all the ambiance is conducive to quiet conservation. That is hard to find these days. I would not hesitate to take any guest from out of town to Brix.
We sat inside the front room and it was comfortable, well-decorated and quiet. The menu had good variety but not an overwhelming selection. The food and wine suggestions were fantastic as well as the service in general (thanks Daniel!). Highly recommend the Crispy Chicken Confit and Ribeye.
Our first visit to Brix - we enjoyed dining on the charming outdoor patio. The wine list is diverse and extensive and the wines by the glass we tried were excellent. The fried enoki mushroom starter was very good as were our two pasta dishes - the bolognese and the cavatelli w/sausage - however the butterscotch pot de creme and sweet potato cheesecake desserts were just so-so. There were many servers - who frequently stopped by to check to see if all was good, but when it came to bringing two glasses of wine we had asked to be served with our pasta dishes, the glasses arrived when we were halfway done those dishes, and only after a reminder. But all in all worth a return trip.
Very special from beginning to end. The cheese plate was delicious with a great variety of cheese. The elk was perfectly cooked and paired very well with the spaetzle. Paul was a great waiter who made some wonderful recommendations.
The ambiance and service was outstanding but the menu was over zealous....too complicated with not the wow it promised.
Kelly, our server was very knowledgable but the wine by the glass seemed a bit pricey.
They recommended duck be served rare which is highly risky for any poultry. The duck came with 1 carrot and a bunch of nearly raw ferns. Way overpriced. They charge $40 for meals that should be $25. Their special occasion birthday "treat" was a single sugar cube with anise flavoring.
Food and service were outstanding. Staff was so friendly.
Dinner was wonderful and our server was very knowledgeable and attentive.
Amazing! The creativity and preparation of the dishes were fabulous! We had a mushroom appetizer in a tempura batter so delicately sweet—tasted like a New Orleans beignet! Homemade pasta made with leeks served with a meaty bolognese sauce! And for dessert we had a creme brûlée with bourbon peanut brittle and a Japanese sweet potato cheesecake with marshmallow topping. Beautifully done! Lovely outdoor setting too!
We have enjoyed Brix Restaurant on several occasions in the past and generally thought of it as offering an exceptional dining experience. But inconsistency seems to be a flaw that surfaces off and on. This past visit was average at best. The food was just okay, the service was sporadic and at times chaotic and ambiance was more like a singles' scene happy hour. It will probably be a long time before we give it a try again.
The travel writer for the Sacramento Bee wrote about the Brix. We were on our way to Grand Canyon and decided to have a nice dinner before heading out the next morning. The servers and host were attentive. The server offered vegan/vegetarian options. We sat by the front window. Weather permitting (it was windy), the outdoor seating is awesome. The food was great!!
The good: waiter was incredible. Extremely attentive and professional. The Mon cherri cocktail was to DIE for, seriously need the recipe. Their charcuterie board was fantastic! Atmosphere was romantic and intimate, at least where we sat. They also blessed us with champagne to celebrate our anniversary!
The meh: hard to think of anything, it was spectacular! The bathrooms were meh, but that’s it!
Will I return? If I’m even back in the area, YES! I can’t imagine going the rest of my life without that cocktail
Food poor , tempura mushrooms just fatty and heavy tempura, elk chop tough and undercooked , very slow service
Just a great experience. A little pricey but what you get is fantastic. The staff was very attentive and the food came out at a good pace. The best part though was the quality and food combinations of the dishes. I just didn’t expect anything like this. If you’re a foodie or just enjoy a well done meal - give this place a try. You will not be disappointed. Well done!
The ambiance was really cool. The indoor seating and the courtyard seating were romantic and beautifully appointed. The staff was engaging, very friendly and worked really well together. The food was exceptional! The food world should keep an eye on the Chef, he's quite creative and talented! I wish I could remember his name...we had two bottles of really good wine. He came to our table and visited with us. Not something that happens often anymore. An excellent dining experience.
I have been to Brix a half dozen times over the past few years and it has always been very good. However, this past experience was not so good. The $40 rib-eye tasted like a good piece of round steak and it was cooked well beyond the requested medium rare. I was not impressed with the presentation of pearled onions on some soupy mashed. My wife's seabass was ok but not a lot of flavor.
I questioned the brown paper cover on the white linen table cloths.......I was told Brix was under new management. There could be an explanation here.
I wish Brix well and will give it one more chance. It has been the best option for fine dining in Flag for a long time.
Wanted to take my Lady out for a special evening. Due to my busy schedule, I had not placed a reservation until the morning of the date. I called and heard through the voicemail that I could reserve a table via OpenTable. Perfect! Alas... there was only one 5pm seating available. Was disappointed as this was too early and I really wanted to try the restaurant. I did a search for local restaurants with a 7pm seating and Brix came up. Weird but I booked it and expected a call later to decline the reservation.
The call that came later was a very pleasant voice that confirmed the time and thus made the start of our evening perfect. I had to reschedule later , but they accommodated my request without any issues. Making for a fantastic pre-dining experience.
Upon arrival to the restaurant, my Lady and I were shown to a small table on the patio with an ambiance that was perfect for date night. Mild lighting, candles on the tables, heaters spaced around just perfectly to stave off the nights chill. She mentioned the acoustics as we could hear each other very well but not the other guests and it was quite busy.
The service and our server specifically, Chelsea, were amazing. Including helping us rotate our rectangular table to the narrow side so we could be closer and re-leveling the legs to make it stable.
The dishes that I chose for the evening were great. Their normal fish entree had to be replaced with Mahi Mahi and it came out a little over cooked. They explained the issue and made us happy with their options on fixing the less than stellar dish.
We left the restaurant very happy and satisfied knowing that it will become a place we frequent for date night.
Thank you Chelsea and the rest of the staff.
Our server was excellent, we did not feel pressured to eat-up, we were allowed to enjoy the evening.
Always a pleasure
We came for my friend's 35 birthday and they did not disappoint! The atmosphere was gorgeous, but what made this night memorable was the staff. Our service was four diamond from start to finish, they were friendly, professional, fun, and worked to make sure she enjoyed her evening. Thank you so much for making it a night we won't forget. We will definitely be back.
Excellent food, service, wine list and ambiance. We'll be back!
Second time at this restaurant and celebrated my birthday and was absolutely amazing all around. Can’t wait to go back!
My husband and I are we’re coming from the Grand Canyon (on a vacation in Sedona from Canada) and we had read about your restaurant in the Toronto Star. Thought we would give it a try and so happy we did! Our server was Kayla and she was the best! Knew her wine and could speak about all the dishes on the menu. Her ability to pair wines with our different food choices made the experience even more exceptional. Should we be in Flagstaff again we will definitely dine at Brix!
Bill & Sharon Price
One word.. Outstanding! Second time at brick while visiting Flagstaff. Just am overall great restaurant with great food.
Fantastic! We were passing through Flagstaff on a roadtrip and found Brix online. It is a great restaurant with excellent food and wine choices, as well as a full bar. I would definitely recommend the cheese board and the scallops.
Everything was AMAZING!!! The pork chop was hands down the BEST pork chop ever. The charcuterie and cheese boards were great. Our party of 4 enjoyed everything that came to the table. Kayla, our server, and the bartender were very nice and personable. We will definitely be back if we’re in the area again!!
Cheese Plate inspired us to eat at home in a new way -every detail is delicious and well thought out -loved it .
One of the best meals yet, Elk Rack! Our server, Daniel, was the best too!
Brix is a Flagstaff gem. The menu is diverse, everything is artfully prepared and the service is exceptional
