Wonderful atmosphere to enjoy drinks and dinner. The Cosmos was made to perfection! Welcoming service, pleasant and very accommodating. Will recommend returning for a girls night and date night with friends! Foodie about my crab cakes and they did it right! Appetizer, soup, salad and entrees had great presentation and tasted just as good! Highly recommend. Loved the atmosphere and I will be returning!
Weirdest place I've ever been. AFter seating us at our table our waiter precedes to fill up our wine glasses with orange juice. Hey! It Mother's DAy...that's it? He then brings ME a mimosa but never offers one to my husband or daughter. We head to the buffet....decent omelet I have to say but at the "smoked salmon station" there are about 2 slices on the plate and the rest is all lettuce, onion and capers. It was a fresh plate...Obviously they only bought one 4 oz pack for the whole brunch service.
Had to hunt down our waiter to get at least one coffee refill and then he was MIA when it came time to get a check. The worse was the 20% already ADDED gratuity ...for what? Our waiter did NOTHING. Since when is there an already added gratuity on a party of 3.
The intestinal lamps overhead did not add to the atmosphere. Place was so odd I will never go back.And if anyone is reading this I would reccomend you do the same.
Made reservations to eat here during overnight stay for a conference at this hotel. Dinner was on our own so we figured save the fuss of driving off site and just eat at the hotel. Our waitress was very nice and seemed a little overwhelmed. The Restaurant was unprepared for the dinner crowd and we waited at least 20 minutes for the sandwiches we ordered. The food was OK nothing super special or amazing but fresh and good quality.
If you're staying at the hotel and need to eat a bite to eat - expect to be there for a bit - but I wouldn't say not to eat there, just don't set your expectations really high.
I don't usually write reviews, but after being prompted by an email and the poor experience I had I thought now was the time. I made a reservation online for lunch. When I got there the server (didn't seem to have a hostess) told me they didn't take reservations. Fortunately it wasn't busy. After a few minutes waiting I went to find someone to get a menu. I was told by same man that it was only buffet there was no lunch menu. The lady at the table next to me said that she had just ordered off the menu. When I asked the man again he said, well at this point it will take too long to get your food we are busy - (there were maybe 6 tables full). We were on a time crunch so we went with the buffet. It was a basic salad (fine), assortment of roasted veggies (soggy), macaroni and cheese (so orange I questioned the quality of cheese used), mashed potatoes (tasted real vs boxed as least), roast meat in a brown sauce (not sure I can call it gravy), very dry/hard rolls, and some sort of fruit pie. That's it for $16 per person. AND tip was already included in the receipt (we had a party of 4!). I will not be going back and I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Very disappointed at the service and food. I did not eat there the rest of our stay, which is unfortunate because done well this restaurant could be a draw to all the people staying at the hotel.
This was our first visit to Brix and Ale but were in the area & decided to give it a chance. The food was very good & presented creatively. Our server was Makda & she was very attentive as was the restaurant manager. I had a beet salad-so good-and an angus burger. The burger was done just right & the bun was outstanding. The main standout of my entrée was the French fries. They were delivered very hot but even as they cooled they retained their crunchiness. My husband had the calamari with a very interesting dipping sauce that got your attention. He had the cod & the fries, again very good. We shared the alamode brownie. Very chocolately and warm. We will be back and in all likelihood bring friends.
We had a very nice experience on mother's Day when we had brunch there. Our only complaint would be that they were not quite ready at 10:30, the time of our reservation, and the time that was posted as opening. Once opened, the staff were ALL great. Food was great and it was a great selection.

food is really good. Not sure if there was another event, larger table, or more important people but service was really slow. Our waitress would come up to us ask a question and run off before we could finish. She was a nice lady just not sure of the situation. Took flat breads about 35-40 minutes to come out. Food was great and people who worked there are nice, the service was just a bit slow.
We enjoyed a tasty burger and beers at Brix and Ale prior to attending an evening seminar in the hotel. Sat at the bar - - server was pleasant and efficient. The burgers were tasty and prepared as requested (medium-well).
The room was quiet when we arrived, but a bigger crowd arrived @ 6 p.m., and was busy as we were leaving.
Menu appears to be more for a lunch than a dinner. Decent wine list. Service was good. The items we ordered, Beef burger and Sirloin steak were good. The Maryland crab soup was perfect. Would have ordered a salad but your standard house salad was not on the menu.
Did not try desert.
Reservations were made but upon arrival no one was at the restaurant welcome station.
