Bristol Seafood Grill - O'Fallon Ratings and Reviews
It was a busy night, Valentine’s Day. My husband was hoping for swordfish which he had there before and really liked. We didn’t check menu before leaving at it was not on the menu. He had scallops instead which he said were ok. He did not care for the risotto. I had the seafood mixed grill which is my favorite and it was delicious . We had the crab cakes for an appetizer and they were also good. We had a reservation and waited about 15 minutes for our table. The tables were almost uncomfortably close. We save Bristol’s for special occasion.
My wife & I were celebrating Valentine's Day. First visit since New Year's Eve. Service was prompt and very attentive. Food was exceptional and portions were generous. Only negative would be that the complementary biscuits could be warmer, but they're still tasty
We went for brunch. Everything was great. The only complaint was the bacon. It was extremely soggy. We asked for crispy bacon from our server who was very nice but it still was a bit soggy. It also had a strange taste. We have been here before and it was different.
Bristol’s not as good as in the past. Service was spotty. Wait staff was friendly but drinks, appetizers and entrees arrived at different times. Appeared as if order was lost.
Food was not great. One appetizer arrived very late and was burned. Tuna poke has seaweed & nuts. Very odd & disappointing. Former prep was great. Not this version, King salmon was cooked fine but had an awful artichoke sauce. Special grouper was bland. Lobster salad had lots of greens and little lobster.
Wonder if Bristol’s has new ownership?
The last 3 times dining at Bristol’s has been not as good as in the past.
Absolutely LOVED the seared scallops! I chose asparagus and the sage augratin potatos and was very happy with my choices. We had a nice table, conversation was easy...no surrounding noise even though we had 3 other tables near us. Couldn't even hear other conversations. Thank you for the birthday desserts!! We were celebrating all 3 of our birthdays and were very surprised that we each received a card for a birthday dessert.
We have come here for years but was disappointed this time!
Jacob was a good waiter but there was a drunk noisy table right next to us. Jacob was stretched thin not the service we have had in the past!
It was my birthday not what I was looking for and expecting!!!!!
Everything was fabulous! We enjoyed a couple glasses of wine at Happy Hour in the Bar then moved into the restaurant for dinner. Our meals were wonderful.
The entire staff (bar and dining room) is courteous and attentive.
In fact, as we were walking in, we saw a server (who later turned out to be ours) running into the frigid cold parking lot to give a customer their forgotten leftovers. Very kind of her!!!
The best! It says it all about Bristols. It was a very cold night, and we were seated by the fireplace, so warm and cozy. We were there to celebrate my husbands birthday, and he was disappointed to see that they did not have scallops on the menu that night. Our server went and talked to the cook, and we both enjoyed the fresh scallops, they went out of their way to be sure we had what we really wanted. They topped it off with a free dessert for two. It was quiet, cozy, romantic and had the greatest food, what is not to love!
Can't say enough about this place. And to think it's in my back yard. The place was booked full for New Year's Eve. We got in anyway, and even though it was crowded, the atmosphere was very accommodating for the two of us, celebrating 43 years of marriage. The waitress staff was everything you would hope for. They were more than cordial. They were personable, very knowledgeable of the food items (which came in handy when I ordered a new mixed drink for the first time), clean and friendly. They all worked so well together with all the hustle and bustle that was required to feed the many people. However, the main purpose of our visit was to have a great time eating great food while celebrating the start of 2018. Their menu is fantastic. I especially liked the three-course meal variety, for one special price. She was able to have her fish, and I my great tasting stake. Along with the great alcoholic drinks, and main meal, the desserts were also special, and was a super finale to a wonderful experience. Yes, we shall return, but not everyday, as we want to keep the memory fresh and know that we have a special place to enjoy each other's company on important occasions. Great place, staff and food. What else could one ask for.
