Bristol Seafood Grill – Leawood, KS Ratings and Reviews
Great evening! We had cocktails & an appetizer at the bar while waiting for our table. The bar service & table service top notch! We were seated 15 minutes before our reservation which was nice. The lobster bisque was delicious, filet cooked perfectly & crab cakes succulent. Dessert/coffee beautiful finish to the night!
We visited for restaurant week; this was our first time at leawood location. We both ordered off RW menu, plus drinks and appetizer. Wine, bread, bisque and entree were all good, but nothing wowed us. Apple croustade dessert was AMAZING! Service was decent, ambiance was lovely but probably wouldn't return. At this price point we expect more wow/creative dishes.
Our reservations were for 6 pm and had been made well in advance. It was evident when we arrived that the restaurant had overbooked. We had to wait 25 minutes .
The hostess that showed us to our table was apologetic for our wait
Our waitress was not friendly - did not introduce herself or offer any comments. She did not ask if our meal was okay - offer refills of coffee - thank us for coming.
I realize that they were very busy and evidently stressed by the demands of a huge crowd but a few simple words from her would have improved our experience.
We have been to the Bristol many times and have always before had a good experience
Bristol's is our favorite restaurant for special occasions. We like their steaks and seafood. Sometimes the restaurant is to noisy, as we could hear everything uttered from the woman behind us. Unlike all other times we've dined there, our waiter was not attentive--he took an inordinate amount of time to take our order as he serviced others ahead of us. Still, we will return for our next special occasion.
We came for restaurant week and I have to say that I was sadly disappointed. My meal was great but my friend had to return her steak 3 times! They were great to comp the meal, but neither one of us has ever run into this issue at Bristol. Our waiter was fun and enthusiastic, I just wish he hadn't discouraged me from getting the salmon! Steak was good, but I heard from another friend that the salmon was even better. We'll definitely go back, it just wasn't the best experience we've had there this time.
Server was knowledgeable and helpful. We've eaten there many times and the food is always served hot and tasty.
We had a wonderful evening and fully enjoyed the entire experience.
We always go the Bristol at least once or twice a month.
The menu is always new and has many choices.
My absolute favorite place in KC for lunch. Always impeccable service and the food is fabulous. Watch out for the hot biscuits continuously coming to your table (fabulous) or you won't have room for that delicious lunch! Always treated nicely for birthdays and anniversies! But don't wait for a special occasion!
As always, our dinner at the Bristol was outstanding! Went during restaurant week with my fiance, who had never been and my son who has been several times. My trout was outstanding, my fiance raved about his crab cakes and my son's perfectly cooked medium rare filet was devoured quickly! The desserts were superb, the service attentive, professional and non-intrusive and the ambiance was lovely. It's a beautiful restaurant with a great menu. The only drawback was the lack of cream in the clam chowder. It appears to be made with chicken stock now. I prefer the cream base. And the gumbo was not as dark and full of all the gumbo items as I have had in the past. They also put rice on top, as a filler, I suppose. Cost cutting measures tend to affect the flavor and not in a good way. Nonetheless, we will return!
My daughter, son-in-law and I love to meet here for a great lunch get together. The service is great, but above all, the food never disappoints. It is in the higher priced category, but well worth it. It has become our go to place for celebrating all things.
