Bristol Seafood Grill – Leawood, KS Ratings and Reviews
Bristol Bar went Above and beyond with kid friendly service! I brought my grandsons so they could try Oysters for the first time compare them to mussels. Brianna our waitress was so wonderful and the food was fabulous. The boys enjoy oysters much more! It was fun, friendly and delicious.
We live in the neighborhood and dining at the Bristol once a month.....sea food is fresh, the wine list is updated and the staff is always king. This one night was extremely busy so kitchen was backed up but our server was keeping out glasses full and helpful throughout the evening.
The Bristol has been one of my favorite restaurants in Kansas City since the days it was located on the Plaza. Good ambience, friendly servers and reliable food every time. I use the Bristol in the P&L District for business lunches and the Leawood location if we are going to be out south for a movie or shopping. All in all, a very positive experience.
This is a fabulous place for Sunday Brunch with a very wide selection of items at stations located across the restaurant vs. having a single buffet area. We never felt rushed or wanting for anything. Each station was a gastronomic adventure and the staff are highly professional. Love the Bristol!
Sunday brunch at the Bristol did not dissapoint! Our server, Ed was delightful and knowledgeable and the food was superb. My husband proclaimed it the "best brunch he's ever had" even. There are many great options on the buffet from a cold bar with boiled shrimp, smoked fish, lox, fruit and more to the build-your-own omlette and waffle stations and scrumptious array of desserts. Thanks Bristol for a great Sunday afternoon.
My husband and I both ate the fresh swordfish and a Caesar salad. Both were fantastic! One of the best pieces of fresh fish I've ever had. Our service was spectacular as well. My tea glass was never empty. I loved the atmosphere and the fireplace. My only complaint would be it was chilly in the restaurant and although they lit the fireplace, they turned the gas way down so it didn't really help warm the room. Definitely a great date night!
One of us was having a birthday! We had Sunday Brunch which was very good! A nice waiter and enough seafood to satisfy us. We asked for a quieter spot since one of us has a hearing
difficulty! They accommodated us very nicely! A very good experience as always!
I watch cooking shows, and one of the hallmarks of a successful chef is seasoning. Seasoning at every opportunity. Seasoning at every level, creating depth of flavor. This seems to be missing at even the finest restaurants. While the food was good, there was lack of depth of flavor. I had the rainbow trout, fairly tasteless and, as usual in a restaurant, cooked past being moist. My wife had the seered tuna, good but lackluster. Quality of ingredients is fine. Service was outstanding. I will be back, just a bit more careful with my menu selection.
The food was very good, however I was surprised with how few vegetables came with the meal.
The service was mediocre at best--more accurately poor. I had much better service at a local Mexican restaurant this afternoon. When we were seated, water was not brought. We eventually had to actually ask for our drink orders to be taken and at no point were we asked if we would like an appetizer. We arrived very early and the dinning room was sparsely populated, yet our waitress made minimal appearances and seemed only vaguely interested in ensuring our needs were attended to.
Overall, it was an anticlimactic experience and I won't be paying that much for a less than average dining experience again. It really bordered on offensive.
great meal like always. Lots of fresh seafood to choose from, always prepared perfectly with sauces that complement the plate. Service is always top notch as well. The ahi tuna salad, was exceptional with a large amount of tuna prepared just right, crusted on the outside and rare on the inside. The swordfish was great as well, prepared right, and the grits au gratin and cauliflower, as sides, were very tasty.
Lobster bisque is very spicy to the point where you don't get the typical favor. The crab cakes are almost entirely all lump crab. Some of the best I have ever had. Warning: taste the sauce before you put it on the crab cakes. I love Mexican food, the their sauce is so spicy that it takes away from the delicate crab flavor
