Bristol Seafood Grill – Downtown KC, Mo
Waitress should pay attention to detail of a customers order. Double check by repeating the order. Disappointed with Bristol to be such a High End Restaurant.
My only complaint was our main entree arrived right after our appetizers were delivered & my steak was lukewarm at best
We enjoyed the live music and all of the food was delicious!
Food is consistently excellent. Broad menu selection. Daily fish specials are always very good. Service is great, and wait staff is very sensitive to business meetings. Attentive, yet not intrusive or interrupting.
Great place for a business luncheon with clients, vendors, prospects.
The worst service I have had in a long time. Steaks are not very flavorful, the only food I enjoyed was the carrot cake.
Very professional and beautiful I will be back. I love seafood and it was great.
Was in town for an event. Great decision in choosing Bristol to eat at. Will definitely be going back when back in town.
Went specifically for their Sunday brunch - outstanding as always. Great seafood offerings.
Our server was informative, friendly and on top of service.
Always great food, service was terrific. Thank you Nicole. Just a nice evening out with family.
Bristol Seafood Grill is one of the greatest places in the world. Every location is a true gem, be it lunch, dinner or the magic that is there Sunday brunch. So good....
It was perfect. We love The Bristol. Megan was awesome!!!
Food was good, the dessert selection was lacking in options.
The Salmon was well done at best, service wasn't bad patio was nice
An enchanting dinner with old friends. food was good, able to talk, noise level was low to moderate. wait staff very obliging
This is the second time I went to the Bristol Seafood Grill and again they did not disappoint. This was a great Father's Day brunch buffet that offered something for everybody's taste. Oysters on the half shell was a pleasant surprise and the peel and eat shrimp were cooked to perfection. They were very busy but got seated within five minutes of our reservation time.
We went to Bristol Seafood Grill for the Father's Day Sunday Brunch Buffet. It was average. There was a decent selection of food, but none of it was especially tasty. The lobster mac & cheese did not compare to what we've had at other restaurants (Capital Grille's is way better), the grits were bland (ask Gram & Dun or Rye for advice bc their grits are great), the desserts were below average (our kids weren't even excited about the desserts and they LOVE sweets). It was a typical brunch buffet--not something to write home about.
Sunday brunch with family. We have been here several times and it is always fantastic. The seafood bar, the in-person carved prime rib and ham, the breakfast section, the omelet bar....all was excellent!!
I didn’t like that they had it posted online AND handed me a physical menu that stated 4 & Under complementary. We have a 3 and 4 year old, they aren’t big eaters anyways so that was a plus for us. We got our bill and they charged us for the older kid price. I let our waitress know their ages and she argued with me that it’s 2 & under but the menu and online said 4 & under. She took the check to her manager and the took it off. She then told us “the manager took it off this time but next time you will have to pay”. Maybe you should spend the money and change your menus? Extremely rude. We won’t be back.
Excellent restaurant one of the best if not the best Brunches in Kansas
I surprised my dad for Fathers Day and we were very impressed with the Sunday Brunch. I've been to the Bristol for lunch but have not experienced their Sunday Brunch. My dad and I love the food and all the different options they had to offer.
Steve S was our server and did an outstanding job!
Food was good but nothing special for the price. Service was great!
We were very, very pleased with both the food as well as the service. We were lucky to have a young man named Ryan as our waiter and he was wonderful. He knew the menu, was able to describe in particularity the dishes he was asked about. He was very informative about the wine choices. He was very attentive but not overly so. In sum: our experience was wonderful and we all would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in high quality dining. One last thought: our party was one of seven and the food was delivered to all of us at once with all of it having just been cooked. That was quite an achievement!
What a special anniversary experience! My husband and I went to the Bristol for the first time for our 8th wedding anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better spot. There was a lit candle and heart shaped confetti decorating our table. Our waiter was outstanding and made great recommendations (including the sockeye salmon and carrot cake). The food was delicious! To top it off, we were treated to a dessert in honor of our wedding anniversary. We will definitely be frequenting the Bristol again soon!
The food was great and came out fast! I went with my mother, but definitely, I'd recommend for a date night!
I met some friends for happy hour in the bar area. We did not order any food during this visit (although I've had their food many times and have never been disappointed) but we did enjoy some of their amazing biscuits. They have great happy hour specials. Our server was attentive and very friendly. I would recommend Bristol to anyone. I've never had a bad experience here. The only down side is parking but you can get valet for $10.
The Bristol never disappoints. The service was attentive, the meal was delicious and we were able to conduct a business conversation without having to talk over loud music. I'll be back.
Exceptional service! Big group of 14 celebrating our farewell. They placed us in a semi-private room and ensured we were well taken care of. Great food and environment.
Items were hit & miss. Steak was excellent- Salmon was over cooked. Asparagus was a bit yellow & burnt, broccoli was excellent.
Bristol Seafood Grill has one of the most unique menus in Kansas City. The quality of the food, the wonderful service, and the excellent bar offerings make a dinner at the Bristol Grill a truly one-of-a-kind experience. We were in town for a weekend and Bristol Seafood Grill was clearly our most memorable meal. If you are in town, you must try Bristol Seafood Grill.
Love the food here. When you want really good seafood, this is the place to go. Ryan was a great server
Went for husband's birthday, had a coupon, and was surprised with a complimentary dessert ( to go) . Our waitress (Crystal?, I think) was very friendly, made great recommendations, and made us feel welcome. We have been to Bristol many times in the past 30+ years, ( Plaza, Leawood, and now KC MO locations), and will continue to of for special occasions and happy hours.
We have loved the Bristol for years. Ingredients are always fresh, meals are delicious and service is great. This would be a 5-star review but for 2 things that didn't live up to the reputation and the attached high price tag. The mini lobster roll appetizer was superb--maybe the best lobster I've had in KC. But why go with Heinz catsup for the fries that came with it? There were plenty of creative sauces on the menu. Please Bristol, try homemade catsup or your remoulade or something else! The salads, crab cakes, etc. were all so good. But the key lime pie for dessert was a fail. No tartness and very little flavor. A grating of lime rind in the batter would have inproved this. I was very surprised that I didn't want to finish it.
We have dined at Bristols in Leawood many times. This was our third time to dine at the power and light district location. This was our least favorite of the three times. Reason being -
the food was not as good, service was very slow (only one waitress for the entire restaurant).
It took over an hour for our food to be served. This was the evening of Memorial Day, 2018.
I think for now we will keep our dining at Bristols to the one in Leawood.
The fish and seafood was delicious. However, the multiple sides that we got were underwhelming. They were bland and the complete opposite of the fish and seafood entrees and appetizers.
Service is poor relative to the Leawood location. Kitchen is super slow; seems like they are short handed. They were out of all tuna entrees, salads and apps. Also out of shrimp and when I ordered a bottle of wine I was told they were out of that but she’d check to make sure. Just doesn’t seem very well run.
The food and the service was great. My two gripes, we went the for their Tuna but they were sold out by 630pm and we didn't get any biscuits until we had finished our meal. The salmon and swordfish were fantastic though, and the staff were all courteous.
Our server, Steve, steered us to a special half price wine deal that allowed us to try a more expensive wine that I was not familiar with and it went well with the meal we ordered. It was a great complement to very good meal that we shared (we had a late brunch and were not exceptionally hungry); so the light meal and excellent wine choice made for a very pleasant evening.
Patrick was very attentive and friendly
