We had a wonderful meal here. Crab cake, king crab and mixed grill were all very good. Service was awesome!
Our server was excellent and the food was delicious! Bristol has the best brunch, hands down!
We have eaten there in the past but this time we were not impressed. The shrimp was hard to peel and very rubbery, the seafood salad tasted as if it were something that had been frozen and just thawed with no flavor, the prime rib was very over-cooked and tough and the lobster mac and cheese had no flavor. As I stated earlier, we have eaten there in the past but this last visit we were not impressed … and with the cost being $32/person we expected more. I don't think we will be going back.
The man at the carving station was very disrespectful and rude. Our waitress was kind as could be. Unfortunately, the way my mother and another lady in line was spoken to in one visit and ignored on a second trip is the lasting impression and we will not be back.
You must get the ahi tuna! To die for. Amazing place!
This is becoming terrible how small the portions are for the price. Service was improved this time over the last experience but I just as soon go to the Bristol in Leawood.
Great place for a quiet business meeting or date. Solid service and outstanding menue.
Delicious food and fabulous staff. Loved the atmosphere as well. Can't go wrong!
The food was pretty good. I was disappointed with the lack of flavor in the foods on the hot buffet. There were plenty of wait staff and staff in general but tables remained unbussed for the entire time we were there. Staff would walk by and not pick up anthing. Our waitress was good but if they had been busy it would have been a struggle. The gentleman at the omelet bar was helpful and his omelets were tasty.
Evrything was great except for the service . Our waitress wad terrible ! When she poured my beer into my glass she overfilled it and it spilled all over the table and never even came back to wipe it up . We drank our water and waited over 10 minutes go get a refill , had to grab a different waitress for the refill . And last , I ordered a coffee after dinner and she totally forget to bring it but still put it on the bill !
I really like the Bristol, but I was a Little disappointed. My food was warm not hot, the parm. potatoes was under cooked and the Tuna (which I was really looking forward to) had no type sauce to go with it, so I ask for some type of wasabi sauce, and got wasabi paste.
Nicole was super pleasant and personable.
The Lobster Bisque was good, but not $10 worth.
Overall the food was not as good as I remembered. The Tuna is my favorite and was very good. I was disappointed in the oysters and sushi this time. Nice place to eat but not as good as it used to be. Not worth the $32 for brunch anymore.
I came here for a birthday celebration and the restaurant definitely made it special for us. The server was great, timely, and knowledgeable about the menu items. The drinks were amazing and unique. The food was just as good as it was described. I will definitely be back for other special occasions.
One of the best restaurants downtown--consistently good food and service. Always has a buzz. Beautifully managed from day one!
Very good for a date night and very dim if you cant see. It is a typical fancy establishment, small portions and overpriced. You should be going to try a whole lot of food and not to engorge yourself. Shrimp cocktail is NOT worth it, very average. Better than usual crabcakes, but if you dont like them usually you still wont. Service is a 10/10. Grilled shrimp is not as good as a chain (red lobster) and double the price. The bread is AMAZING but they only give you one per person. If this place was about 1/3 as expensive I might go back.
We are frequent diners and find that the food is always very good.
Service was second to none. Great menu! Lots of fresh selections to choose from. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent lunch. I love their biscuits. And amazing cauliflower starter. :)

Very good seafood. Nice ambiance and quick service.
Great food, amazing service! A little expensive. $200 for 3 meals, 1 app & no alcohol

Birthday dinner at Bristol downtown is always a treat with a great ambience. The service was excellent by our waiter that made for an enjoyable evening. The halibut special was excellent but the swordfish was not very good. The cut of the fish was very thin and small portioned. The dinner was sent back and got a seared tuna instead which was well prepared and a much better portion size and thickness. The sides and apps were very good and the free desert (carrot cake) was excellent. The only recommendation is that I think some of the preparations are getting a little stale compared to restaurants I visit on the coasts and some work could be done on creativity to keep it fresh and exciting.
The food was gross, undercooked chicken with fatty pieces. The restaurant was freezing. The services was 4/5.
My husband and I used to love this restaurant. Unfortunately, the last two times we have gone to Bristol, it has been a poor dining experience. The food is still fairly decent, but definitely lacks the quality it used to have, and the service is downright bad now. The restaurant has always been very noisy, but that's not a deal-breaker for us. However, waiting thirty minutes for water, never receiving any biscuits, appetizers finally appearing at the end of our meal, mediocre food and disappearing servers are too much. They're Blue point oysters are still amazing though.
Appetizers were great. I needed lots of salt on my chefs special. Fish was excellent (Halibut) but overall dish was bland. I ordered the cookie box for dessert. It was entirely underwhelming and would never order again. Overall a very expensive meal with some disappointments.
We arrived for our 4:30 reservation at 4:10. We were immediately sat down at a table. No one and I mean no one spoke to us or even acknowledged we were at a table for over 20 minutes. I was about ready to get up and leave. When making the reservation my husband had told them it was for our 28th wedding anniversary. No one said a word about it. Needless to say, if it weren't for our excellent server who showed up at 4:32, without apology, we would not have stayed. He was knowledgeable and very nice. We loved the food but I doubt we will be back anytime soon.
Fantastic set up for a birthday dinner with many kids in tow. Service was wonderful, food was great, private room with lots of room for kids to roam and adults to still enjoy a nice meal.
Good food and service. However, we had a reservation and we weren’t seated until 40 minutes after our reservations. Other people with reservations were seated at a decent time but not our party. They had several tables open with 6 chairs but they wouldn’t seat our party because we had 4.
We had an Incredible Experience @ The Bristol! Greeted with a Beautiful Smile! We were Celebrating a Special Event and the Hostess brought us two complimentary glasses of Champagne to assist in that Celebration! The service was delightful and the FOOD was absolutely Delicious! The portions were plenty and the price point was perfect! The Happy Hour experience was just that a Happiness Of many Happy Hours! The only Disappointing Experience was with the Valet Service! I called ahead to The Bristol to arrange parking for the evening. We were attending a Concert @ The Sprint Center after The Bristol and after the concert we found out that the Valet Service had lost are car! The Valet Service was completely overwhelmed and understaffed! It took almost an hour for someone to give us correct directions for us to go and locate are car in a parking garage! No one brought us are car or even actually knew where to locate our car! It was finally with the minimal assistance of a Security Guard that directed my son to the correct Garage Location! The environment of Power & Light after a Concert Event was not SAFE! I would never recommend Valet Parking through this Service! If your paying for a Concierge Service in advance that is exactly what you should receive! An experience of total Professionalism and PEACE of mind! I will be notifying Power & Light, The Valet Service and The Bristol Of this Horrific Experience. The Bristol was FIVE STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the Valet Service provided was ZERO!!! DO NOT USE THE VALET Service!!!
Hoping to have a ice dinner before concert at nearby Sprint Center but 6:15 reservation didn’t matter. We were seated st 7:00 and had to rush through dinner to make 8:00 concert. Should have known better because this is the second time this had happened.
Service was great. Very crowded but expected from such a good place to eat. Very good experience!
Normally always great and consistent, our most recent trip was very disappointing... Lots of people in the house for the Michael Buble concert, but even so they are normally WAY better than this! We had 3 items that we served to us barely warm (less than room temperature) - 2 soups (1 lobster bisque and 1 gumbo) and an order of lobster mac and cheese. Sending 3 items back to the kitchen during 1 meal is not only disappointing and frustrating, but it also makes the people dining feel high maintenance, when in fact, we were there paying very good money and things just weren't served appropriately. The regular GM didn't seem to be working, so that could have been part of the issue, but regardless, they need to do better or their reputation will suffer.
So convenient to the Sprint Center to have dinner before shows.
Thank you so much for the spectacular review! We hope to see you again, soon!! ~Zahra Almoamin, Service Manager
Our waitress Nichole was awesome!
Wonderful atmosphere, food delicious drinks were wonderful. Very professional place. Definitely going back soon!!!
Excellent as always, Damien was a great waiter!
Our server Anderson was fabulous. We had a 16th birthday to celebrate and the table awaited with some decor and a nice card, offering a free desert. Noise level was just fine ~ never a bad meal or complaint about The Bristol. Highly recommend it to anyone!
We made reservations for dinner after our Broadway Across America show. Used valet parking right in front of the restaurant. We were immediately greeted and seated. The waitress, Melissa, was absolutely outstanding and, at the time of the day we were there, patronage was low. This afforded nice easy conversation. Ambiance was wonderful as was our service. Food was quickly prepared as ordered and was delicious. Since we arrived during happy hour there were many outstanding and inexpensive food and beverage choices. We were totally pleased with both food and service and will certainly go back!!
My wife, daughter and I enjoyed the food and hospitably. The food was great. We travel a lot and dine in many places. I can truly say that we will be back to dine here again.
Amazing food and ambiance and service
