We always enjoy eating at The Bristol, but today the food left more to be desired. While items such as the tuna tartare were great, the hot buffet was tepid at best and the dining room was kept at a cold temperature, allowing the food to get cold as well. We will still return to the Bristol, but not when they offer the Easter buffet.

I would recommend with some caveats. The placement of the carving station was extremely hard to get to and interfered withe the line for salads and seafoods. There also seemed to be a shortage of help, our table service was good but the food choices were not replenished in a timely way. Also the desserts looked like a tornado had gone through, with no replacements of cookies, etc. would also like a chocolate choice on the dessert bar. I will say the meat from the carving station was some of the best ever! We enjoy your Easter brunch every year and hope to see some improvements on the set up side of this, because our individual server was great.

We’re not really buffet people but love the Bristol so thought we’d try the buffet. Food quality was good but hot food wasn’t hot and cold food wasn’t cold. For what we paid we could have enjoyed a lovely dinner

My wife and I enjoy Bristol for date night. Server Patrick was outstanding. Just as I cut into filet Oscar he came by and immediately noticed it was not medium rare as I ordered. He promptly did a replacement steak and it was perfect! Bristol is a beautiful restaurant and always a great dining experience!

For a special occasion like a 5 year Anniversary, a few different people told me to visit Bristol as it received high compliments and ratings and my in-laws rave about the place. We were greeted with a menu with our name on it and complimentary dessert which was a nice gesture, but it was overshadowed by the terrible service and sub par food. There was a rotating group of people taking care of us and none of them were in a good mood, nor responsive when asked questions. The appetizers were good, but the main dish for $40 included 6 tiny scallops paired with cold asparagus and cold lobster mac-n-cheese ($4 up charge). When I spoke to the waitress about it, there was no apology nor urgency to get a new setup of sides. We received the new side dishes only after our scallops were either cold or eaten.
Waters were re-filled when they were empty and another round of cocktails wasn't at the top of the list either. For a restaurant of this caliber and knowing it was a special occasion, I expected much more from them for a $115 meal.

We have eaten there in the past but this time we were not impressed. The shrimp was hard to peel and very rubbery, the seafood salad tasted as if it were something that had been frozen and just thawed with no flavor, the prime rib was very over-cooked and tough and the lobster mac and cheese had no flavor. As I stated earlier, we have eaten there in the past but this last visit we were not impressed … and with the cost being $32/person we expected more. I don't think we will be going back.

The man at the carving station was very disrespectful and rude. Our waitress was kind as could be. Unfortunately, the way my mother and another lady in line was spoken to in one visit and ignored on a second trip is the lasting impression and we will not be back.

The food was pretty good. I was disappointed with the lack of flavor in the foods on the hot buffet. There were plenty of wait staff and staff in general but tables remained unbussed for the entire time we were there. Staff would walk by and not pick up anthing. Our waitress was good but if they had been busy it would have been a struggle. The gentleman at the omelet bar was helpful and his omelets were tasty.

Evrything was great except for the service . Our waitress wad terrible ! When she poured my beer into my glass she overfilled it and it spilled all over the table and never even came back to wipe it up . We drank our water and waited over 10 minutes go get a refill , had to grab a different waitress for the refill . And last , I ordered a coffee after dinner and she totally forget to bring it but still put it on the bill !

I really like the Bristol, but I was a Little disappointed. My food was warm not hot, the parm. potatoes was under cooked and the Tuna (which I was really looking forward to) had no type sauce to go with it, so I ask for some type of wasabi sauce, and got wasabi paste.

Overall the food was not as good as I remembered. The Tuna is my favorite and was very good. I was disappointed in the oysters and sushi this time. Nice place to eat but not as good as it used to be. Not worth the $32 for brunch anymore.

Very good for a date night and very dim if you cant see. It is a typical fancy establishment, small portions and overpriced. You should be going to try a whole lot of food and not to engorge yourself. Shrimp cocktail is NOT worth it, very average. Better than usual crabcakes, but if you dont like them usually you still wont. Service is a 10/10. Grilled shrimp is not as good as a chain (red lobster) and double the price. The bread is AMAZING but they only give you one per person. If this place was about 1/3 as expensive I might go back.

Birthday dinner at Bristol downtown is always a treat with a great ambience. The service was excellent by our waiter that made for an enjoyable evening. The halibut special was excellent but the swordfish was not very good. The cut of the fish was very thin and small portioned. The dinner was sent back and got a seared tuna instead which was well prepared and a much better portion size and thickness. The sides and apps were very good and the free desert (carrot cake) was excellent. The only recommendation is that I think some of the preparations are getting a little stale compared to restaurants I visit on the coasts and some work could be done on creativity to keep it fresh and exciting.

My husband and I used to love this restaurant. Unfortunately, the last two times we have gone to Bristol, it has been a poor dining experience. The food is still fairly decent, but definitely lacks the quality it used to have, and the service is downright bad now. The restaurant has always been very noisy, but that's not a deal-breaker for us. However, waiting thirty minutes for water, never receiving any biscuits, appetizers finally appearing at the end of our meal, mediocre food and disappearing servers are too much. They're Blue point oysters are still amazing though.

Appetizers were great. I needed lots of salt on my chefs special. Fish was excellent (Halibut) but overall dish was bland. I ordered the cookie box for dessert. It was entirely underwhelming and would never order again. Overall a very expensive meal with some disappointments.

We arrived for our 4:30 reservation at 4:10. We were immediately sat down at a table. No one and I mean no one spoke to us or even acknowledged we were at a table for over 20 minutes. I was about ready to get up and leave. When making the reservation my husband had told them it was for our 28th wedding anniversary. No one said a word about it. Needless to say, if it weren't for our excellent server who showed up at 4:32, without apology, we would not have stayed. He was knowledgeable and very nice. We loved the food but I doubt we will be back anytime soon.

Good food and service. However, we had a reservation and we weren’t seated until 40 minutes after our reservations. Other people with reservations were seated at a decent time but not our party. They had several tables open with 6 chairs but they wouldn’t seat our party because we had 4.
