Service was good, food was good, but could have been better. Same with the key lime pie. Good but not great. I did truly enjoy the crab/corn cakes/fritters appetizer. Wine prices are good, as is the selection. I will go back again. Wish I could remember our server's name so I could ask for her again.

Very good food but small portions for the price. People at next table felt like they were sitting at our table since everything was so loud.
Service staff was very professional and helpful.

The food was good as usual, but this time we had an unusual experience. We ordered two 9 ounce pours of Hess Chardonnay. The waitress came back in a few minutes and said they were out of Hess. So, we ordered two 9 ounce pours of J Lohr Riverside. Waitress came back a few minutes later and said they were out of that. A little later she came back with a whole bottle of a $46 bottle. We didn’t order a bottle. When we paid our bill we were charged for the $46 bottle we didn’t order. In years of eating there this has never happened before. Needless to say, we were very disappointed.

The service was very slow and waiter was inattentive. The food arrived late and cold and when told they did nothing to alleviate the problem. The restaurant is always very cold. In the reservations they were told it was an 80th birthday and no one acknowledged it nor did they comp a dessert. Very disappointing experience. We will not be back.

Very, very disappointed. The service was slow to a point that they gave us free desert. The food was bland: the steak that cost $39 was over done, the fish and chips we're tasteless. And we still paid over $100 plus tip. What a waste of money and time. If you are really into a dated, very dated, interior and over priced, way over priced, food, then you should certainly go there. Otherwise, just stay away.

Bristol's is consistent and always good. Freshest fish, they know the fisherman and boat every fish comes from. Best business lunch location in the Creve Coeur area, great holiday brunches, great happy hours with great food, drinks and crowd.

There for a birthday celebration and our server Shea was great. The food overall was good, the only issue was with the Lobster Bisque Soup. It was just a little off, could not put my finger on what it was, just off.

So this is the place I always take my wife for a very special occasion. It is the best value for food that is excellent food and if you ask for Ed as your server the dining experience will be one of the most memorable. They even take requests that are not on the menu and the Chefs do it so well you will be amazed. I ask for a panic fried lobster tail and it melts in your mouth. If you are hungry now you get what we experienced. As for the service and Ed it is like a Five star event. Please try BRISTOL’s and enjoy

I really like this place for fresh fish. I have eaten here many times and like the variety of the menu. It changes as the season. Great wine list. Decent beer list (don't drink much beer but lots of choices.). Tonight was an off night for the chef. Our two orders of fish were over cooked. I thought getting closer to the center of Opah it would get moister. It did not. The Rare Tuna was cooked to about medium.

I want to note I hate to send anything back but I had eaten a little over half of the portion of grilled Opah. I did not complain. The waitress asked us if we want to box it up and we politely declined. We stated that it was over cooked. She offered us a free dessert and we had already had enough to eat. The waitress did not return with our check. The GM brought the check out to our table. He politely stated this is not acceptable that we were served over cook meals. He said our meals were free and gave us a gift certificate for our next visit to make it right. He even asked next time to notify him of our next visit to make certain this does not happen again.

Even though it was not right I admire that Bristol's will make it right. I will return again and again.

I was celebrating my wife’s birthday which is one of the places we like to eat brunch. However we were both disappointed on Sunday because we usually come for the chicken wings which we discovered you were out of and were told someone had ordered incorrectly and did not order a sufficient number of wings. My wife do not like chicken breast nor is she a big fish eater so this was a disappointing day for her birthday.
My wife loves the carrot cake but did not eat it and wanted to take it home. We were told by the waiter she could not get a to go container for her cake and we ended up leaving it there. We feel the rules should be consistent because we did see two people being given a to go container for dessert and on our last visit less than a moment ago the young lady did give my wife a container for her cake to go. So yesterday was not a good time/day to come and bring my wife to celebrate her birthday. Maybe it will be better next time we come since it is one of our favorite places to have brunch.

We enjoyed a family lunch at Bristol the day after thanksgiving. The food is consistently good and the service is outstanding. The restaurant is dark and quiet.

We went there for Thanksgiving and did not know that they will close the kitchen for personal orders and as I am not really an American per se even though I am an American citizen, I did not like to eat turkey. I told the waiter that I did not go there for the Thanksgiving meal. I would like to order something else if I can. The waiter said there are the seafood area for those who do not like turkey. I thought I hit the jackpot because my husband said he had been at the Bristol before and he liked it, the seafood did not disappoint. Apparently, his standard for seafood is on the low one than I am used to in Melbourne, Australia. Anyway, the seafood area has small shrimps with the heads cut off and it says on the label, it was boiled and spicy. Excuse me but where I came from we have large shrimps, not that itty-bitty ones I saw there which from the look of it was already frozen and cooked before it even reach the restaurant. The oysters looks dry and dehydrated. Two items, both unappetizing in looks and presentation. And the turkey was drowning in watery soup. I wasn't really happy as I was pitying our wallet for paying $38/person for me not to get anything. My husband ordered scotch on the rocks and the lady who served him put water with his scotch. He grinned and bear and did not complain at all. I opted to get iced water and she gave me water without the ice. I know everyone must be tired and want to be with their family for Thanksgiving but the service sucks, the price we paid for wasn't worth it and to top that, we went there because my husband said he was there often before in the late 90's and it was good. Maybe at that time it was good, not from my experience recently. I am so sorry I have to write this review to let this restaurant know how they fare with the service that we had for Thanksgiving.

The Thanksgiving buffet was well-stocked with hot food. Food was tasty. The service was terrific. Cold shrimp were delicious. The oysters were 'sad' barely the size of a thin piece of paper, very disappointing! Cocktail was well prepared!

My sons and I have enjoyed Bristols Thanksgiving buffet for the past five years or so. This year I was greatly disappointed as the majority of the food seem to lack flavor and/or seasoning just did not seem worth the value this time, way too bland. The turkey was perfectly moist that was the only good part of the meal.

We had a wonderful evening at Bristol .
The fresh seafood selections were excellent and the preparation was superb. The Brussel sprout and parmesan roasted potatoes sides were fabulous. Our server was friendly and attentive. The wine list was also notable and we enjoyed a nice Oregon Pinot Noir with dinner. Bristol is always a must for dinner when we are in the St. Louis area.

Our server Andrew was fantastic! I can not say enough good things about him from the prompt service to the great small talk and just the right amount of knowing when to stay away! Andrew recommended a couple of items we never tried before and everything was perfect! We will definitely going back and asking for Andrew. My wife got the crab cake entree while I got the seared ahi tuna special and it was quite possibly the best tuna steak I have eaten.

Please stop what your are doing and ask for Andrew to be your server you will not be disappointed

Wonderful meal celebrating an anniversary with attention to that detail with the choice of champagne toast or dessert they offered us. We took the dessert and it was delicious! Loved everything about our meal, from the fresh-baked biscuits to the perfectly cooked meats and sides. A lovely evening.

We were very disappointed. Hadn't been to Bristol in several years as had moved out of town. I was looking forward to returning as it had been a favorite. My mussel appetizer was terrible. No flavor except the taste of strong old mussels. The waitress was very accommodating and removed them from our bill replacing the mussels with lobster bisque. While not the best I've ever tasted the bisque did have a lot of lobster in it. We both ordered the grilled seafood platter for $38.00 dollars, if memory serves. It contained a piece of coho salmon, 4 shrimp, 2 scallops all of which were overcooked and dry . My friend had a 9oz. and one 6oz. glass of Reisling and I had a cocktail and a 9 oz. glass of Sauvinon Blanc . no dessert or coffee and our bill was $140.00.
Oh well, another old favorite off the list!

Been coming here for many years. The food is always consistent with good oysters, salads, fish etc. Something prevents it from being truly great. It is very good. Maybe the size and the noise. The presentation is not always as it should be. A little sloppy looking perhaps but that does not impact the quality of the food at all. The service is always excellent and the bread you get before dinner is like eating cake. BTW the desserts will make you fat but they are worth every bite.
