Ehh it was ok but not worth the price of admission. The server said they couldn’t make a hot toddy and wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu. There are better paces in stl to have a 4 course dinner for two around $250.
We are in Southwestern Illinois, but this has become our go-to for business dinners with visitors to the greater STL area who want to stay in Missouri or around the airport. Always consistent, and I appreciate the small semi-private side rooms for 5 or 6 guests. Bartenders are top notch, although it is always a hectic...but they are good at looking up and catching your eye if you are trying to place a drink order behind those seated. Only difficult thing is making the left hand turn off southbound Olive and then again to get into the parking lot...this is a very wild intersection and stretch of road at 6:00 PM.
Our server, Ebony, was outstanding. The food was well-prepared and thoughtfully presented. Half off wine was an added treat. We will be back.
Only concern was the lobster bisque soup other ordered was luke warm when it came out. They did not want to complain. Perhaps in future, servers can be aware of the temperature of the food when they serve.
As usual, the service is outstanding! It is one of the reason why I like dinning at Bristol Seafood Grill.
The brunch was wonderful. I hadn't been in a long time.Still great.Service was extremely timely, server very knowledgeable about the menu. It's a win win .
We are from Kansas City and this place was amazing!! Food was excellent and the service was fantastic! Thank you for the great experience!
Bristol's is one of our favorites! Food is usually exceptional although the crab cakes I swear are getting smaller and smaller.....maybe it's just our favorite menu item so it leaves us wanting more. Our waitress Rebecca was a delight and perfect for our party. Everything was fabulous. It's really our favorite seafood place in St. Louis and even the Filet with the scallops and Lobster risotto was perfect. Everyone else had either the Halibut, Tuna or scallops by themselves and were very happy. Great evening once again!
The server Rebecca was so nice and the Prix Fixe was a great value!
My Husband And I Went For Our Anniversary, It Was Our First Time And EVERYTHING Was Amazing...We Will Be Visiting Again
Overall, good experience but two disappointing moments: first, the bartender didn’t bother explaining that one glass of Dewers on a round ice ball costs 150% of the cost of Dewers + a mixer. Would have been good information before considering a second one. No one likes surprises when it comes time to pay the bill. Second, once we were seated and ordered, we waited a really long time for the hot bread. No sooner than we began eating those wonderful rolls, our food was served. Would have been a better experience to have those rolls offered as soon as we sat down.
Our waitress was incredible! She was so sweet and talked through all the different questions we had and upsold is on the dinner we ordered and so glad she did. Yum!
The food was very good as was the service, there were several large parties so the noise level made conversation difficult at times.
From the bar staff to the person greeting us for our reservation, even the management we were treated with respect and the greatest level of service courtesy that few restaurants give these days. The food is some of the best from the freshest fish selections to a steak that was so good I savored each bite. Our server Ed has the greatest level of detail, he is very good in recommending dishes and when we asked for a slight change to my wife’s meal it was perfect to our request. Folks if it’s your first date to almost 25 years trust everyone here will make it memorable
Wonderful experience all around. Our server Mary was attentive, knew the menu well and really took great care of us. Crabcakes were the best ever!
We chose Bristol to host our ISO Audit group, with our company president present as well. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food, service, atmosphere. The location of our table was great too-away from the main room enough so we could hear one another talk but still be a part of the energy of the restaurant. Overall great experience and would come back again for work or personal event.
We had the special and it was soooo good. I didn't leave a morsel on my plate
Excellent food and service
Lobster bisque was only a bit warmer than room temp. The sushi was almost warm. The plate may have accidentally been put near a hot in the kitchen. Service was just ok. I really like Bristol so I was disappointed with my experience today.
Most awesome fish entrees and team members are
This is one of my favorite places to go. Usually, it is only from brunch but they are good anytime.
Bristols always provides great food and service. I will keep coming back to dine here. It never disappoints.
It was packed and took us a while to be seated from our reservation. It took us about 20 minutes to get a drink. There were a lot of large parties which made things difficult. I had the halibut which was ok but not much flavor.
Everything was good - two of us asked for a special clams and pasta dinner which the manager said they would make but clearly the chef had no idea what that was as he made just water, no spices, and no garlic.
I’d go back but I would not order off the menu
My wife’s halibut was very good
Tried the grilled Barramundi, delicious. Lobster Risotto delicious as always. Only wish it was on the menu year round.
The salmon was very good.
Added extra two hours to our trip but still worth it. Really good food and great service
Waitress was exceptional; bus staff -not so much. The guy passing out bread skipped one of our party and never came back. No big deal, but then they did not remove unused wine glasses, forcing the waitress to do their job. The food was of course amazing. Well prepared in a timely manner. Perfect portions for hungry people. A little stingy with the crab meat on my Filet Oscar, one of the daily specials. And the gorgeous halibut special was just a teeny-tiny bit over-cooked, though quite delicious. There were no doggy bags after this celebratory meal as we all ate every bite. It was pleasant and relaxing and we had a marvelous time. Wish it was more reasonably priced ($12 for single glass of wine?), we would come here more often than once in a blue moon.
We celebrated a birthday. We were given a dessert of our choice.
Love everything about Bristol.
Excellent food and service as usual!
We were at Bristol's for a birthday lunch. I made arrangements to have the birthday girls' lunches put on the other guest checks. We treat each other to lunch to celebrate birthdays. After we were all seated, our waiter told us that he was just going to give me the 2 checks for the birthday girls, along with mine. He left it up to me to divide and collect. I had already told the others that the checks would include the birthday lunches. Since conversation was plentiful, a couple ladies didn't notice that they weren't paying for the others. I ended up paying a lot more for a lunch that included a lobster cobb salad with very little lobster. Two of the ladies later contributed, but that wasn't the point. This is the only restaurant that didn't accommodate this request during the past 12 months. I was told that it could be done on their system. They just didn't do it. I have gone to this restaurant over the past 10-15 years and it has been rare to get good service with good food. That is why my visits there have been rare.
There was no wait time for our reservations. Food was very good and kept plenished. Wait staff was excellent, never needed for anything. A little pricey for a buffet, that is my only complaint.
Everything was excellent, bit food an service. It was my 76th birthday and the complimentary
carrot cake was outstanding.
Overpriced very small portions. Waitress was nice though.
Been eating here for years. Not as good this time as before.
Noise level in the bar area while waiting for the table ( for which we had a reservation) was absolutely terrible. The level of noise was better once we reach the table and the service was excellent. However food was cold when it reaches the table. We still like this restaurant which usually has good fish and think perhaps they were overbooked due to it being a Friday in Lent.
The service was just too slow- we waited 25 minutes for cocktails and an hour for food.
Food was delicious but we will not be back- we felt ignored by server and staff.
I was very disappointed in the food. I won’t be back anytime soon. Nor will I recommend it any longer. Food was dry and the crab cakes were not cooked all the way. So disappointed...
Great seafood and service. Quiet intimate atmosphere in the dining room. Little more upbeat in the bar. We'll be back!
