About
The Bristol Bar boasts a collection of sought after, small batch production spirits, some of which have been crafted specifically for us. Our cocktails playfully mash up seasonal ingredients and spirits that strike balance and create the perfect sip for any occasion.
Whether you are cozied up by the fireplace, taking in the stunning views of the Boston Public Garden, or casually sipping our maple syrup and cardamom old fashioned at the bar, The Bristol is your venue to create memories that will last a lifetime.
Honestly, our waiter wouldn't leave us alone. He kept interfering in our personal conversations, and immersing himself into them. It was super strange, happening 4-5 different times making all of us uncomfortable. My eggs came out cold, which was disappointing since it was a very expensive lobster egg scramble. My husbands burger was good and came out hot. The other two guests food met their expectations. Overall, it wasn't the excellent experience we are used to from the Bristol :(
Wonderful evening! Fantastic food and great service! Our server Marissa was awesome! The shrimp cocktail and steak au poivre were delicious! Looking forward to returning soon!
Server handled adult birthday dessert with one candle gracefully.
Bristol is priced for perfection so when it isn’t perfect it isn’t ok. In our lunch meeting for 3 the clam chowder was inedible due to salt, the ice tea was missed and the cutlery was bent. Certainly not perfect. Otherwise a very pleasant experience.
Careful - not listed on menu but shrimp cocktail is boiled in beer. If you have Celiac be careful. No warning whatsoever.
we were seated very close to the bar and it was really noisy - should have asked for a different table
Always a pleasant experience! We had the burger; didn’t realize the fries were made with Truffle oil
Since it is Four Seasons we expected much more for the place. The restaurant was not very clean, food was average, couple napkins had holes in them. Definitely not a good value for the money.
The $35 burgers were just ok
We were 3 people and we ordered the burgers med...one of our party got a rare one so sent it back....she didn’t get her burger back for almost 30 min ...and the rest of us were done.
It should have been removed from the bill...it was not
No apologies from the wait staff....
Food was fantastic as always: inventive, classic, flavorful & expertly prepared.
Service was professional, but slower than usual for this restaurant and therefore not quite up to the usual high standard.
good food and a great wait person, timing was impecable
Shaun was a delight!
My mom and I were in town for a show at the Colonial Theater. I had thought we’d have a real view of the Common, but the restaurant is on street level. The food was still good and our server was excellent. I’d definitely go back.
We enjoyed our special lunch. Sean our server was excellent
We had a wonderful meal. Shawn and the rest of the Bristol staff took great care of us. We had a fantastic window table and enjoyed every bit of our lunch. Thank you.
We went to enjoy a Valentine’s Day dinner at the four seasons hotel in Boston. None of our requests for a table that were made with the reservation were honored.
We were sat next to the bar which was jam packed and extremely noisy. The menu is very limited and they have a prefix menu as well. we were extremely disappointed with the service and with the value for the cost.
The evening ended with a bill on which we were overcharged and had to point the error to the wait staff. When we plan on next special date, it won’t be at the four seasons
Excited to eat at the Bristol on Valentine’s
Food was delicious. Bristol burger and Brussels sprouts. Service terrific
Simply the best. We were there at 6:00 for a before the theater dinner and everything was superb. Service great, room had other guests and still was quiet, food was beautifully presented and just delicious. My husband had the Bristol burger and said it was the best. I had a brussel sprout, sweet potato and other veggies salad and I long for the recipe, it was just excellent.
A restaurant with great food where you can have a conversation and hear each other and not be rushed
Bristol lounge is not what it used to be.
Our server did not know the menu at all. Not asking alot for him to know what toast and pastries are offered. He did not get our orders right. He did not come back to the table and ask if we needed anything, which we did. Order took too long to get to us to eat, this was an issue because we had a show to catch. I had to go find the waiter to pay bill.
Food was yummy but not fantastic.
Croissant was soggy, like it had been microwaved.
Sad....

Brunch with my daughter before going to see a play at the Emerson Theater. I was a few minutes early and the host explained I would have to wait until 11:00am to be seated. He actually sat several other tables that were not waiting when I arrived. We were seated at 11:15am.
Service was so slow, food was bland and it took forever to get water refills.
We finally stood up and put on our coats because we waiting over 20 minutes for the server to pick up the credit card. So disappointing.
Exquisite dinner. Food and cocktails were great and the service was spectacular!!
Food was excellent. The service unfortunately was not up to four seasons par. It took 1/2 hour to get a drink & over an hour to get our food & when we sat down we told the waiter we were under a time constraint as we had theater tickets.
Before a show
Server had too many tables. Long waits for her to take cocktail orders, take dinner orders.
We had a phenomenal waitress who was super busy but tried to be so accommodating. The hostess was particularly wonderful as well. We were there to celebrate 4 birthdays- a 90 yo, 85 yo and 2 60 yo!
Done remember the waitresses name but she was young with blond hair in braids.
Veggie burger awful
The Bristol Lounge is always beautiful and service is attentive and professional. It's a "who's who" of Boston at breakfast and lunch. That being said, $38 for a tuna poke bowl seems like a lot - it's not markedly better than the $27 bowl at Trade downtown. You're paying to be at the Bristol Lounge - which is a beautiful, civilized experience.
Excellent experience and will go back for sure! Expensive, so value good but not great.
Wonderful food and service.
It was a little loud due to the fact that there was a playoff football game on TV.
We will definitely go again
We had the best time at Sunday brunch. Food choices were incredible and delicious. Ask for Keith. He gave amazing service & was def part of the experience.
Always a wonderful dining experience here
Went on a Monday night for my birthday, no hostess no greeting. The restaurant was quiet until a small child started yelling, yelling and yelling. Not once and not twice. The waitress apologized for the distraction but didn’t do anything to compensate. So glad we asked to be moved from sitting right next to them at the table that seems like it was in the lobby. Beautiful restaurant, hope to give it a second chance and maybe there’ll be a manger on duty to manage the restaurant.
Charming, attentive and helpful staff. Perfect special lunch
The brunch at the Bristol is outstanding, albeit a little pricey and a tad noisy. The food and service are excellent and families, groups, and singlets were all represented.
Overall it was an extremely enjoyable buffet brunch. Service - excellent!!!! Everything was very good in its preparation except for:
Shrimp, slightly undercooked and tough
Dumplings, room for improvement
Sweet table, vast room for improvement!!!!
My freshly made eggs Benedict where perfection, except for over buttered english muffin, but that is minimal
In Boston the Four Seasons does not have any competition for Sunday buffet brunch but that doesn’t mean they should let down their standards. I was very happy with most items, but I’m telling you the sweet table was not good.
We had a delightful lunch sitting at a window table. Service was friendly, efficient and professional. The food was excellent-I had the Classic Bristol burger medium rare (minus the cheese) and my friend had the fried chicken sandwich. The holiday decorations were beautiful. Highly recommend for a special lunch and a theater dinner.
We were staying at the Four Seasons, but would have dined here in any event because the food, decor, service is so good.
Biagio was fabulous! The food was delicious but he truly made the experience!! We had mussels which were a huge portion, the black bass and the wedge salad! The smores dessert was excellent too! Will definitely be back!
